Abstract

This research explores the impact of In a special principal-agent context, Earnings management is used as a mediating variable in the audit quality of oligarchical performance in Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises (ISOE). The Board of Directors, the Board of Commissioners, and the Minister of R.I. are empowered by the State-Owned Enterprises Act. Despite having a significant function, the latter is not granted total authority. The division of power among internal companies, labor unions, the Board of Commissioners, the Minister of R.I., the President of R.I., and political party leaders is a reflection of Javanese culture. The Board of Directors must consider and accommodate all stakeholders, which results in oligarchical performance. An examination of ISOE's 2021 annual reports using partial least squares and WarpPLS 5.0 reveals that earnings act as a mediator between audit quality and oligarchical performance. administration. This study is unique since it is predicated on particular assumptions regarding agency. relationships and Javanese culture in its concept of oligarchical performance and analysis

Abstract

This study discusses foreign investment disputes involving Indonesia in international arbitration forums, particularly under the jurisdiction of ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes). The main focus of this study is on the interpretation of the provisions of Article 2 paragraph (1) in the Indonesia-UK Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT), which regulates the conditions for the entry of foreign investment in Indonesia. In the Rafat Ali Rizvi case, the arbitration panel decided that the process of entering investment that does not comply with the provisions of the Foreign Investment Law (UU PMA) cannot be included in the scope of the BIT. This study provides important recommendations for Indonesia in re-evaluating the provisions in each BIT involving Indonesia, as well as conducting further studies on ICSID arbitration decisions to understand the interpretation of BIT articles related to jurisdiction and the subject matter. Thus, this study aims to strengthen Indonesia's position in facing investment disputes at the international level

Abstract

The primary metabolic symptom of diabetes mellitus is hyperglycemia. Analysing HbA1c levels can help determine blood glucose management. Elevations in blood pressure can be caused by abnormalities in the metabolism of glucose.  Patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus may experience elevated blood pressure. To ascertain whether blood pressure and HbA1c levels are correlated in patients with uncontrolled DM. There were 90 subjects aged between 31-65 years consisting of 48 men and 42 women. HbA1c levels were checked using the boronate affinity method and blood pressure was measured using a sphygmomanometer.  Data analysis used the independent difference t-test and Mann-Whitney U test as well as the Spearman correlation test with a significance level of α=0.05. Research subjects had an average HbA1c level of 10 ± 2.08% (7.1-15). Mean systolic blood pressure was 132.75 ± 18.04 mmHg (90-180). The average diastolic blood pressure was 83.28 ± 10.38 mmHg (60-120). Subjects who experienced hypertension were 36.66%. There were no differences in blood pressure between men and women (systolic p=0.70 and diastolic p=0.58). There was no correlation between HbA1c levels and blood pressure (systolic: r=0.022, p=0.81 and diastolic: r=0.022, p=0.81). There was no correlation between duration of DM and blood pressure (systolic: r=.093 and p=0.38 and diastolic: r= -.032 and p=0.76). There was no correlation between HbA1c levels and blood pressure

Abstract

The presence of advanced technology today, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), has yet to be fully utilized in the primary education sector in Indonesia. The fulfilment of women workers' rights must be given more attention, in order to maintain their health and not interfere with their work productivity. The research aims to analyse the company's responsibility in fulfilling the full wage rights of female workers during maternity leave based on Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower and Government Regulation Number 78 of 2015 concerning Wages and identify legal remedies that can be taken by female workers to demand the fulfilment of full wage rights during maternity leave. This research uses an empirical juridical approach method with descriptive analytical research specifications.  Data analysis is carried out using qualitative methods. Companies have the responsibility to provide compensation in the form of wage payments to female workers who take maternity leave. This obligation is based on Article 84 of Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Labour and Article 31 of Government Regulation Number 78 of 2015 concerning Wages. Female workers who experience obstacles in fulfilling their maternity leave rights can take legal remedies based on Law Number 2 of 2004 concerning Industrial Relations Dispute Resolution.  These legal remedies include bipartite negotiations, tripartite negotiations, and a lawsuit to the Industrial Relations Court

Abstract

Mixed liquor has caused many deaths in Cicalengka, Bandung Regency, thus attracting the attention of the Indonesian people. This study uses a juridical-social method as well as library and field data collection techniques. Several preventive efforts have been carried out by one of the authorized law enforcement agencies, namely the Cicalengka Police. Preventive measures taken include preventive efforts in the form of routine socialization and education of the community to avoid consumption and trade of mixed liquor and routine raids, and repressive efforts in the form of confiscation of evidence and follow-up to incidents related to the use of mixed liquor. There are many obstacles that hinder efforts to overcome the use of mixed liquor in Cicalengka. First, consuming mixed liquor has become a culture of the community in the Cicalengka area that normalizes the consumption of mixed liquor. Second, public education and understanding of mixed liquor are still very low. Many people assume that legal and mixed liquor have the same composition and side effects. The third obstacle is the inconsistency between the laws and regulations regarding mixed alcoholic beverages and the inconsistent attitude of the law makers in regulating these laws
