Abstract

This descriptive quantitative study aims to examine the perceptions of gender equality among students at SMA Negeri (State Senior High School) 1 Bunta. Data were obtained from 119 students who completed a 75-item questionnaire. The analysis employed descriptive statistics, yielding an average perception score of 238,99 with a score range of 63-300. The principal finding indicates that teachers’ treatment of students based on gender is the most prominent factor in supporting gender equality within the school environment, reflected by the highest percentage of 81,28 %.  However, cultural aspects, social norms, and formal school policies still require greater attention to overcome existing barriers.  The study recommends strengthening pro-gender equality school policies, providing gender‑awareness training for teaching staff, and developing programs that encourage active student participation without discrimination.  The implications of the findings are expected to serve as a basis for policymakers in creating an inclusive and fair educational environment for all genders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ behavioral tendencies in using ChatGPT amid its emerging benefits and challenges, through the lens of the Theory of Planned Behavior. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method, involving 729 students from the Faculty of Education Sciences. Data were collected through surveys and interviews, and analyzed using SPSS. The findings, which refer to the three core variables of attitude toward the behavior (ATB), subjective norms (SN), and perceived behavioral control (PBC), show that the majority of respondents (70,6%) had a high positive attitude toward using ChatGPT for academic purposes. Most students (66,0%) reported moderate subjective norms, while perceived behavioral control was high (70,1%). These results indicate that students recognize the benefits of ChatGPT and feel confident in regulating its use. Consequently, their intention to use the tool is more strongly influenced by personal attitudes and self-regulation than by social pressure. The findings also highlight students’ ability to adapt to ChatGPT in academic contexts, although institutional guidance remains essential to ensure ethical and integrity-driven usage across the academic community.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of social pressure on the mental health of final-year students at Tadulako University using a quantitative survey design with a saturated sample of 800 participants. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires comprising 20 items on social pressure and 38 items on mental health, and subsequently analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicate that students generally experienced high to very high levels of social pressure, while their mental health also fell within high to very high categories. Regression analysis produced the model Y = 32,782 + 0,422X, with a significance value of 0,000 and t = 1,211, confirming a positive and significant effect of social pressure on mental health. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0,948) demonstrates that social pressure explains 15,7% of the variance in mental health, with the remaining 84,3% attributed to other factors. These findings highlight the need for enhanced social support, counseling, and effective coping strategies to mitigate psychological burdens among final-year students

Abstract

This study aims to describe parental parenting styles in shaping children’s religious character and to examine differences in students’ religious character based on the parenting styles applied at SMP Negeri 9 Palu. The study is grounded in the phenomenon that students’ religious character development varies widely, while each family adopts different parenting patterns that may influence the habituation of religious values. Early adolescents also face social dynamics and technological influences, which require consistent parental guidance. This research employs a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the primary instrument, supported by observations and interviews to enrich understanding and validate quantitative findings. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error, resulting in 258 student respondents. Data were analyzed using a One-Way ANOVA to identify differences in religious character among students raised under democratic, authoritarian, and permissive parenting styles. The findings show that the democratic parenting style is the most frequently applied, and students’ religious character generally falls into the “good” category. An F-value of 4,591 with a significance level of 0,003 (<0,05) indicates significant differences in religious character across parenting styles. These results emphasize that parenting characterized by communication, exemplary behavior, and supervision plays an important role in shaping children’s religious character.

Abstract

Career optimism is an important factor that influences university students’ readiness to face the world of work. Given the significant challenges posed by career uncertainty today, understanding university students’ levels of career optimism is an important area of investigation. This study aims to examine the level of career optimism among university students in Jakarta.  A descriptive quantitative approach was employed involving 866 active students from several higher education institutions in Jakarta. The measurement instrument used was the Career Futures Inventory (CFI), particularly the Career Optimism sub-scale, which had been translated into Indonesian. Data analysis was carried out by using descriptive statistical techniques. The instrument achieved acceptable construct validity, evidenced by item–total correlations (r ≥ 0,30), and demonstrated high reliability with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0,85, making it appropriate for use in this research. The study revealed that the majority of university students were classified as having high (37,8%) and moderate (29,8%) levels of career optimism, indicating that they hold positive views about their prospective careers. These findings emphasize the need for comprehensive career support within higher education institutions to improve students’ readiness for employment. Additionally, the study provides groundwork for implementing campus-level psychological interventions targeting improvements in students’ confidence, career self-efficacy, and early comprehension of world of work conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of anonymity and loneliness on self-disclosure. This study employs quantitative research techniques and a causal-based research design. The research respondents are Generation Z users of ChatGPT as a medium for confiding, with a total of 204 respondents determined using the Cohen formula. Data were collected using a Likert-based psychological scale distributed through Google Forms. The instruments used included the Revised Self- Disclosure Scale, Perceived Anonymity Scale, and UCLA Loneliness Scale. Data processing techniques in this study consist of a normality test, a linearity test, and a multiple linear regression test, with data processing conducted using SPSS version 26,0 for Windows. The results showed that anonymity had a significant effect on self-disclosure among Gen Z ChatGPT users (p = 0,009). In addition, loneliness also had a significant relationship with self-disclosure (p = 0,000). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influenced self-disclosure (p = 0,000). The higher the sense of anonymity and loneliness felt by an individual, the greater their tendency to be open in expressing themselves.

Abstract

Fragmentation between Guidance and Counseling (GC) services and Character Education (CE) often dilutes school-based efforts to cultivate students’ socio-emotional and moral development. This study developed and appraised a GC–CE collaborative module grounded in the Paulus Makassar Foundation’s core values (excellence, creativity, compassion, mission orientation) to offer an operational remedy to that fragmentation. A Research and Development design (modified Borg & Gall) was implemented through needs analysis, prototype design, expert validation, and small-scale practicality testing with GC/CE teachers and media/content experts. Results indicate a systematically articulated module—objectives, indicators, learning materials, student tasks, structured reflection, and performance rubrics—that is conceptually relevant, context-sensitive, and classroom-ready. The study advances teacher-collaboration theory by proposing a micro-collaboration framework at the session level, coupling complementary GC–CE roles with performance-based assessment and reflective supervision. This bridges value knowledge and observable behavior, extending contemporary co- teaching and school-based intervention models. The module provides a scalable guideline for schools to formalize GC–CE co-delivery, align it with PLC routines, and integrate digital/interactive formats. It can inform district-level regulations on collaborative character education and guide resource allocation (training, supervision, and monitoring). Beyond local feasibility, the model contributes a replicable, culturally responsive mechanism to strengthen holistic character education through structured teacher collaboration.
