Abstract

Implementing E-Rapor (Electronic Report) in education has become an exciting research topic that has captured the attention of numerous researchers. Based on the findings of a literature review, E-Rapor aims to bring benefits and positive impacts to the field of education, promoting its growth in the current digital era. However, researchers have also noted several limitations in using the E-Rapor-based information system, including difficulties in its application for information processing, competence planning, and data management. This research seeks to analyze gaps in the learning outcomes achieved by students when the E-Report application system is implemented compared to traditional or manual assessment methods. The data collection method employed in this study is a literature review, which involves gathering secondary data from various reputable sources. As for the research instrument used, the researchers have formulated five research questions that serve as valuable guides throughout the data collection process. The results of the discussion show that E-Reports are useful for regularly assessing student abilities by educators and school employees, allowing quick intervention when necessary, and increasing overall educational efficiency. Due to this, the author recommends further research to understand the impact of using E-Reports on learning outcomes and educational management to be comprehensive.

Abstract

The practice of academic cheating is one of the biggest scandals in the educational process at various universities throughout Indonesia. This study aims to elaborate on the issue from Michael Sandel's philosophical criticism of the tyranny of meritocracy and the reproduction ofeducational inequality. The research uses the literature review research method, which is carried out by identifying, analyzing, and interpreting Sandel's works critically, especially his book, The Tyranny of Merit: What Becomes the Common Good? The results of this study indicate that academic cheating in university is not only the result of personal academic incompetence or degradation of personal moral integrity but mainly the result of the educational system and paradigm that exalts and adores meritocracy. Under the tyranny of meritocracy, the academicians concentrate on pursuing academic titles and individual pride rather than being an organic and humanistic intellectual. It can be concluded that under meritocracy, the education system fails to implement its humanistic and liberating role and instead reproduces the new social inequality and oppression. This research has implications for the revitalization of education’s role as an agent of liberation, equality, and justice in Indonesia.

Abstract

Recently, the practice of categorizing intelligent students and unintelligent students is a deeply ingrained phenomenon within the realm of education in Indonesia. Indeed, multiple specialists have verified that the attributes of intelligence vary among individual students. Hence, this study aims to revolutionize theme education in primary schools by implementing an autonomous curriculum that is rooted in the Islamic Montessori for Multiple Intelligence approach. This study employs the library research methodology, utilizing primary and secondary data derived from printed or digital sources such as books, journals, and magazines. The outcome of this discussion is to generate a set of activities for different domains of learning. These activities include folding clothes or buttoning clothes for the Islamic Studies domain, hand washing for the practical life domain, matching pictures with zones for the sensorial domain, matching words for the language domain, matching numbers for the mathematical domain, matching fruit with pictures for the cultural realm, and drawing or creating ecobricks for the arts & crafts realm. These diverse educational approaches involve the creation of a curriculum centered around the Islamic Montessori for Multiple Intelligence method, with the aim of promoting a healthy and virtuous lifestyle. These methods can be effectively utilized by teachers during classroom instruction. Through the development of diverse learning activities, education will be conducted in a more comprehensive manner, tailored to the individual traits and capabilities of each student. Abstract

Environmental literacy has emerged as a paramount subject to be studied and ingrained in individuals in the 21st century due to the rising concerns over environmental problems. Hence, this research is aimed at analyzing the development of environmental literacy topics in the educational context in the 2001-2022 period to understand the development and potential of this research in the future. This study used the bibliometric analysis method with data sourced from Scopus. Out of 518 articles obtained, only 386 met the criteria for performance analysis and scientific mapping using Publish or Perish and VoSViewer software. The result showed that the development of environmental literacy in the educational context has increased both in terms of publication productivity and the number of citations. The United States, Indonesia, and Turkey contributed the most. Although overall the issues raised are still dominated by environmental literacy and environmental education, there has been a shift in the last three years. The result of this study indicates that the subject of environmental literacy within educational settings remains both compelling and pertinent for future exploration. These findings have implications for the urgency of expanding the scope of environmental literacy research in the educational context to issues that are still limited. Consequently, this study can serve as a roadmap for researchers to establish new research directions, enrich existing knowledge, and make a more substantial contribution to developing environmental literacy in educational contexts in the 21st century.
