Abstract

Perceived organizational support (POS) has attracted increasing attention in educational research, yet existing evidence remains theoretically fragmented and offers limited guidance for school management and leadership. This study aims to synthesize the literature on teachers’ POS by mapping teacher outcomes, dominant theoretical frameworks, leadership and organizational antecedents, and their implications for educational leadership. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 89 empirical studies published between 2019-2026 were identified through Scopus and ERIC and synthesized narratively. The findings: work engagement, teacher well-being, job satisfaction, and teacher performance are the most prominent promotive outcomes, whereas burnout and turnover intention represent the primary protective outcomes. Social Exchange Theory dominates the literature, alongside Organizational Support Theory, the Job Demands–Resources model, Conservation of Resources Theory, and Self-Determination Theory. The review further suggests that POS operates through both promotive and protective mechanisms and functions not only as a direct predictor but also as a mediator and moderator of teacher outcomes. For school management and leadership, POS should be understood as a system-level organizational outcome shaped by the alignment of leadership practices, organizational procedures, and material working conditions. Future research should adopt more longitudinal, mixed-methods, and cross-cultural designs, particularly in underrepresented contexts such as Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are essential competencies for 21st-century learning, enabling students to understand quantitative information, apply mathematical reasoning, and solve everyday problems. However, elementary school students in Indonesia, particularly in disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost regions such as Maybrat Regency, continue to face challenges in developing numeracy skills. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the GASING Method (Gampang, Asyik, dan Menyenangkan; Easy, Fun, and Enjoyable) in improving elementary students’ numeracy skills in Maybrat Regency. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design was employed. The sample consisted of 37 students from four elementary schools selected through total sampling. Data were collected through numeracy tests administered before and after the intervention and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Normalized Gain (N-Gain), and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings showed a significant improvement in students’ numeracy skills after the implementation of the GASING Method. The mean score increased from 29.73 on the pretest to 76.76 on the posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.63, indicating a moderate level of improvement. The Wilcoxon test also revealed a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05). These results indicate that the GASING Method is effective in enhancing numeracy skills through systematic and concept-oriented learning. The findings provide empirical evidence for developing contextual and meaningful numeracy instruction, particularly in elementary education within disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost regions.

Abstract

Research on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in elementary mathematics education has expanded substantially over the past decade, yet no bibliometric study has systematically mapped its intellectual structure, growth pattern, or geographic distribution. This study addresses that gap through a bibliometric performance analysis of 55 Scopus-indexed documents published between 2009 and 2026, guided by three research questions on publication trends, geographic contributions, and source characteristics. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database on May 2, 2026, and analyzed using the Scopus Analyze Search Results feature and Microsoft Excel. Results reveal that annual output grew from one document in 2009 to a peak of 11 in 2020 (20.0% of total), declined to two in 2022 amid COVID-19 disruptions, and resurged to 10 in 2025, the second highest on record. Geographically, Indonesia accounts for 85.5% of publications (n = 47), followed by Malaysia (5.5%; n = 3), while contributions from Western countries and other regions remain negligible. Publication sources are dominated by conference proceedings: the Journal of Physics: Conference Series (36.4%) and AIP Conference Proceedings (20.0%) together account for 56.4% of all documents. These findings highlight the need for broader international collaboration, stronger journal-based dissemination, and expanded use of advanced bibliometric tools.

Abstract

Toxic friendships need to be addressed to prevent them from harming students. Therefore, students need to develop self-love to survive toxic friendships. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using the Socratic dialogue technique in improving self-love as an effort to address toxic friendships in eighth-grade junior high school students. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method, a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data processing was performed using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 27.0 for Windows. The sample consisted of six eighth-grade students in junior high schools in Yogyakarta, selected using purposive sampling, who were provided during group counseling services. Group counseling services utilized group dynamics to improve junior high school students' self-love so that they have awareness of toxic friendships. Data collection in this study used a psychological scale and analyzed by paired sample t-test. The results of the paired sample t-test, with a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicated a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. The average scores before and after treatment showed an increase from 38 in the pretest to 79 in the posttest. This improvement demonstrates that group counseling using the Socratic dialogue technique has a significant impact, with students becoming more able to understand and appreciate themselves, as well as being more discerning in their relationships. The results of this study indicate that group counseling using the Socratic dialogue technique is effective in improving students' self-love.

Abstract

Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) is a strategic government policy aimed at improving students' nutritional status in Indonesia. This study analyzes the collaborative management model applied in the implementation of MBG in Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Indonesia. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews with three purposively selected informants representing the district, operational, and school tiers of MBG governance, supplemented by document analysis and policy review. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana interactive model. The findings reveal that MBG implementation in Duren Sawit has formed a collaborative governance pattern involving the district education office, SPPG, schools, community health centers, security agencies, and the environmental agency within a single cross-sector coordination forum. From the SPPG perspective, coordination encompasses data validation, organoleptic food testing, rapid-response reporting mechanisms, and multi-party crisis management. However, several critical challenges were identified: the absence of a uniform national SOP for district-level coordination, legal and hygiene gaps in catering kitchens (only 13 of 44 kitchens held hygiene certificates), unresolved waste-management integration, and the lack of a structured evaluation system. Measurable positive outcomes include an increase in first-grade students' average body weight from 25-30 kg to 33 kg after program implementation. This study proposes the Collaborative School Feeding Governance (CSFG) model, comprising five dimensions, cross-sector coordination, operational collaboration, food-quality supervision, community participation, and adaptive evaluation, as a replicable framework for effective and sustainable school feeding governance.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of virtual reality (VR)-based psychoeducation based on the teachings of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan in improving the calmness of vocational high school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The study participants consisted of 16 11th-grade students identified as having low levels of comfort and were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received five sessions of VR-assisted psychoeducation that integrated the spiritual-humanistic values of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, while the control group received treatment as usual. Data were collected using a validated Peace Scale consisting of 26 items covering aspects of self-harmony, social harmony, and environmental harmony. The instrument demonstrated good reliability with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.849. Data analysis was performed using the Mann–Whitney U test to test for differences between groups. The results showed a significant increase in calmness in the experimental group, with the average score increasing from 70.0 to 81.6, while the control group only increased from 70.0 to 73.0. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that VR-based psychoeducation integrated with the spiritual-humanistic values of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan is effective in increasing students' calmness and has the potential to be an innovation in guidance and counseling services. However, this study has limitations in the relatively small sample size and short duration of the intervention.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study investigated the prediction of recurrent translation errors among EFL learners using a Bayesian probabilistic model within the framework of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr’s theory of probabilistic induction. 65 university students participated in the study, completing two translation tests to examine the recurrence of ten types of translation errors under similar linguistic conditions. The results of Test 1 showed that grammatical errors were the most frequent (31.8%), spelling errors (28.8%) and semantic errors (19.4%). Similar trends were also evident in Test 2; however, the frequency of semantic errors decreased slightly (from 19.4% to 16.3%) compared with Test 1, while contextual errors (from 8.0% to 11.6%) and terminology errors (from 2.4% to 6.4%) each showed a moderate increase. Idiomatic, cultural and omission/addition error frequencies remained low. The Bayesian model performed reasonably well as a predictive tool. It was able to demonstrate high levels of predictive consistency by providing close correspondence between the predicted probability of an error occurring and its observed frequency on the second translation task. The findings suggest that recurrent translation errors can be interpreted as predictable probabilistic patterns rather than isolated learner deviations. The study concludes that integrating Bayesian reasoning with Al-Sadr’s probabilistic induction theory may help instructors predict learner difficulties and design more effective pedagogical interventions in teaching.

Abstract

Pre-service physics teachers are increasingly expected to engage with educational research as a basis for professional judgement. This study examined their research-review competence using a rubric-scored article critique and Rasch measurement. Two intact third-year cohorts at a state university in Lampung, Indonesia completed the same critique prompts after identical instructional preparation but reviewed different article types. Class A critiqued a qualitative article and Class B critiqued a quantitative article. Written critiques were scored on a nine-criterion rubric with a shared four-point rating scale and analysed using the Rasch Rating Scale Model in Winsteps. The rubric showed adequate measurement quality for diagnostic interpretation and produced a coherent criterion difficulty hierarchy across cohorts. Person-criterion targeting using Wright maps indicated that critique of introductory framing was the most consistently demanding component in both article types. Secondary high-demand components differed by task. The qualitative critique concentrated difficulty on evidence-claim evaluation, methodological critique, and coherence of argumentation, whereas the quantitative critique concentrated difficulty on academic writing and citation practice, evidence-claim evaluation, and critique of implications, limitations, and potential bias. These findings show how Rasch targeting can move beyond total scores to identify priority components for strengthening research-critique competence in teacher education.
