Abstract

Grammar is one of components to support the abilities of listening, speaking, reading and even writing. Either learning or teaching the grammar is a rather difficult activity. Some methods were developed by experts, such as Grammar Translation method, students were drilled to comprehend the pattern or formula of  a sentence, yet they were stuck when they used it in a verbal communication. Then, coming CLT or Communicative Language Teaching which was said much more better, yet in the reality, the students, of course, much better use their english verbally, nevertheles, they were still confused what pattern they used. Therefore, Task Based Language Teaching or TBLT is one of alternative solutions for both. The students are not merely provided the pattern of sentence but also they can use it verbally in any situational conversation. Besides, in attracting students’ interest in learning grammar, it is integrated to technology called padlet.com as an online application supporting students’ enthuasiasm in learning grammar. After joining this workshop, the teachers can practice the TBLT approach in teaching grammar to  their students which is integrated to technology. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of TBLT helps teachers integrate technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge in learning grammar.

Abstract

The importance of making good letters and regular administrative arrangements need to be carried out to support good management administration, so the aim of this Community Service is to provide assistance in making letters using computer technology and administrative arrangements at the Al Muhajirin Islamic Boarding School. The method used in this community service consists of three stages, namely, the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the final stage. The results of this community service include sending material for making letters, material for administrative arrangements, practice of making letters and administration, as well as handing over printers and stationery. The hope from the results of this activity is that the writing of letters and administrative arrangements will be implemented immediately to produce good quality administrative management

Abstract

The problem of narcotics in Indonesia is still something that is urgent and complex. In the last decade this problem has become widespread. Evidenced by the significant increase in the number of narcotics abusers or addicts, as the disclosure of narcotics crime cases increases, the pattern is increasingly diverse and the syndicate network is increasingly massive. The Indonesian people, and even the world community, in general, are currently facing a very worrying situation due to the widespread illegal use of various types of narcotics. This concern is getting sharpened due to the rampant illicit trafficking of narcotics which has spread to all levels of society, including among the younger generation. This will greatly affect the life of the nation and state in the future. The behavior of some teenagers who have clearly ignored the values, norms and laws that apply in people's lives is one of the reasons for the rampant use of narcotics among the younger generation. In everyday life in the midst of society there are still many teenagers who still abuse narcotics.

Abstract

This activity aims to increase understanding and journalistic skills as an effort to optimize the tourism information system (SIPARIS) website by Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency. It's because the role of the SIPARIS website is very important to inform about tourism potential in Sukamakmur District, but turns out that the SIPARIS website content is no longer updated and less informative. To make the website more attractive, the content must be made as informative as possible, so that users who want to know about tourism in Sukamakmur District can get complete information on the SIPARIS website. The participants of this training are website managers, tourism awareness groups, and tourism actors in Sukamakmur Sub-district who are expected to become resources for developing content and information on the website. The method used is a workshop to convey journalistic material, then practice the material that has been learned. The achievement of the success of this service is through pre-test and post-test after the workshop is completed. The result of the activity is the increase in knowledge as well as journalistic skills of the participants, to support the optimization of the SIPARIS website.

Abstract

Tolokan Village, which is located at the foot of Mount Telomoyo, has advantages in its natural potential. The natural potential found in the village includes the agricultural sector which has an impact on tourism. Tolokan Village is pioneering a tourism village initiated by the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) but its role in tourism awareness has not been optimal so that community participation is still low in exploring the potential of the tourism village. The natural potential of Tolokan Village has not been managed in a structured manner due to the lack of understanding and provision of its management. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the process of strengthening tourism village governance with the Tolokan Telomoyo Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) in collaboration with the Association of Hospitality Management Students of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro. The method used in this article is descriptive qualitative by conducting participatory training, discussion, packaging tour, and field practice carried out to empower village community in  fostering governance Tourism Awareness group. In doing so, it can realize Sapta Pesona as a support in pioneering tourism villages. The result of this village community service is product of a set of tour packages, a tour guide group, a roadmap for developing a tourism village for the next 3 years so that the potential of Tolokan village can be explored and provide added value to local residents, the formation of synergy between Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, the Tolokan Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS), the Tolokan Women Farmers Group (KWT), and villagers in preparing a structured tourism village pilot.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a key role in the present-day economy of the nation. One aspect of enhancing the capabilities of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) is ensuring their compliance with regulatory requirements. The first phase involved the legal registration of the NIB (National Identification Number for Businesses) to facilitate the professional monitoring of commercial competitiveness for micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM). In accordance with the significance of enhancing the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) in the City of Medan, CSR Bank SUMUT, in collaboration with academic professionals from Krisnadwipayana Univeristy, has initiated a program aimed at providing assistance, socialization, and support for the establishment of NIB. This program forms part of the Women's UMKM Capacity Enhancement Program, which is being implemented in the city of Medan. Through socialization and direct guidance to Women SMEs in Medan, it has contributed to an enhanced comprehension among them about the importance legal aspects of their businesses.

Abstract

Children with disabilities in Indonesia still face various challenges in achieving independence in everyday life. Special attention is needed to provide adequate support so that they can overcome these obstacles and achieve their rights with dignity. The main focus of this international PkM activity is to introduce innovative methods and strategies that can increase their independence, with the main message "I'm Not Trash" as a call to recognize and respect the rights of children with disabilities. The aim of this activity is to increase the independence of children with disabilities in living their daily lives. The method of this international PkM activity is delivery of material, question and answer and evaluation. The result of this activity is an increase in the independence of children with disabilities in aspects of daily life. They gain new skills, both in caring for themselves, participating in daily activities, and in managing their lives independently.

Abstract

Students must be able to manage citations from various scientific journals and books in the final semester. Citation management is vital in writing internship reports, final assignments and journals. However, most students still need help citing and writing a bibliography. Therefore, this PKM activity aims to train students to use the Mendeley application to cite and write a bibliography automatically. There are two stages of training: the explanation or demonstration stage and the practice stage. The presenter accompanies the training participants in practising the use of Mendeley. The improvement in participants' skills was measured using a questionnaire method. The participant's ability to operate Mendeley has increased, as evidenced by the average pre-test score of 51.57 and post-test of 79.57. The training evaluation results showed that 71.4% of participants stated that the quality of the material presented was excellent and could equip students to write scientific papers.

Abstract

In Indonesia, like many other developing countries, there are still many individuals who have lost their legs or have serious leg problems due to various reasons, such as accidents, illnesses or congenital conditions. The main focus of this activity is providing orthopedic assistance/prosthetic limbs to people in need. The aim of this activity is to improve the health and welfare of people with disabilities through a program called "Gerakan Kaki Seribu Chandra Lukita". The method of community service activities consists of socialization, patient registration and examination, making orthopedic equipment, installing equipment and monitoring and evaluating activities. The result of this activity is an improvement in general health status among people with disabilities, including increased access to needed health services.

Abstract

Community Service Partners (PKM) is a micro and small brick business. Knowledge of business projections among business owners in Batu Bata is still very limited. The aim of this service is to empower traditional business owners with the knowledge and skills to produce accurate business projections to assist in developing their business. The implementation method uses lecture, exercise, and discussion/question and answer methods. The participants were brick business owners from the Limbung village, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. The technique for implementing this activity includes three stages starting from the preparation stage, implementation stage and activity evaluation stage. The results of the training show that traditional business owners experience difficulties in applying business forecasting techniques to their businesses because sales records are sometimes incomplete or non-existent. After carrying out the simulation, participants can understand the basis of sales forecasts for future sales forecasts. Additionally, brick-and-mortar business owners can know the exact estimates of their business. Knowledge of business forecasting is expected to improve business performance and competitiveness. The limitation of this training is that the implementation method does not use instructional techniques so that knowledge about business forecasting can be implemented in business activities.
