Abstract

In the contemporary landscape of education, integrating Project-Based Learning (PjBL) within online educational environments has emerged as a prominent pedagogical approach, aiming to foster students' critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. This study seeks to evaluate students' experiences with Project-Based Learning in the context of online education, recognizing the significance of understanding the effectiveness and challenges associated with this instructional method. The primary aim of this research is to assess the perceptions and experiences of students engaging in Project-Based Learning within online educational settings. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to capture students' perspectives comprehensively. The study sample comprised students enrolled in diverse online courses across various disciplines, ensuring a broad representation of experiences and insights. The study's main results reveal a nuanced understanding of students' experiences with Project-Based Learning in online educational contexts. Quantitative analysis indicates overall positive perceptions regarding the effectiveness of PjBL in enhancing learning outcomes and fostering student engagement. Qualitative findings further elucidate the multifaceted nature of students' experiences, highlighting both the benefits and challenges of implementing PjBL in online settings. In conclusion, this research underscores the potential of Project-Based Learning as a valuable instructional approach within online education, offering opportunities for meaningful learning experiences and skill development. However, it also identifies several considerations and areas for improvement, such as adequate technological support, clear guidelines, and enhanced facilitation to optimize the PjBL experience in online environments. This study contributes to the field of education by providing empirical insights into implementing Project-Based Learning in online educational contexts. The findings offer valuable implications for educators, curriculum designers, and policymakers seeking to effectively integrate innovative pedagogical approaches into online learning environments, ultimately enhancing the quality and efficacy of online education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the negative and positive impacts of cross-department learning (LINJUR) in the Independent Student Exchange Program 3 (PMM3) at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Through a qualitative approach, this study highlights the challenges faced by PAI students who take part in the program, such as information discrepancies, difficulties in academic adaptation, language and cultural barriers, and difficulties in building relationships. However, there are also positive impacts, such as broadening of horizons and knowledge, development of communication and interpersonal skills, personal growth and adaptation skills, building networks and career opportunities, and increased confidence and initiative. Implications of these findings include the need to provide more accurate information on available courses, better support in the adaptation process, and further exploration of strategies that can maximize the benefits of cross-departmental student exchange programs. This research provides a deep understanding of students' experiences in facing challenges and taking advantage of opportunities in the context of cross-department learning, as well as providing a basis for further development in the implementation of PMM programs.

Abstract

Indonesia's education sector, including basic education, faces a range of challenges, ranging from low allocation of government financial support to a lack of training to improve teachers' professional abilities amid Indonesia's small education budget. The purpose of this study is to know and analyze financing management in improving the quality of learning in MTsN 7 Madiun. The method used in research is a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. While analyzing the data by data reduction, display, and conclusion. The conclusion is: (1). The head of the madrasah is responsible for planning the financial resources of education in accordance with the position given to him by the government (2). The education financing approach prioritizes the most important madrasah needs to improve the quality and quality of education (3). Education funding is monitored by external and internal accredited bodies (4). The obstacles faced are, first, the scheme is different from the dues received from the government, and second, the payment of funds to the madrasah committee is not routinely carried out by a small number of parents' associations.

Abstract

The purpose of preparing this work is to find out the forms of lecturer creativity in electronics learning in the digital era 5.0. The literature review method was used to examine relevant literature. Data sources include journal articles, books, policy documents, and interviews with experienced lecturers. Data collection techniques involve literature searches through academic databases and direct interviews with lecturers. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, focusing on identifying lecturers' creative practices in integrating technology in electronics learning. The result of this work is that in the era of electronic learning in Digital 5.0, lecturers have a crucial role in creating innovative learning experiences. By utilizing learning and creativity theories, lecturers can become learning architects who utilize technology effectively and facilitate the development of student creativity. Logistical and geographical challenges in Indonesia require the use of information technology to support distance learning. Lecturers also act as creative facilitators who inspire and guide students towards academic achievement and competitive skills development. The integration of learning theories and creativity in electronic learning allows lecturers to play a central role in directing education towards an innovative and dynamic future. This is in accordance with the objectives of the Higher Education Law no. 12 of 2012, which emphasizes the formation of students who are moral, intellectually capable, creative and have a noble culture.

Abstract

The Green Card is a Madrasah Tip to Improve the Quality of Education. Madrasahs play a major role in improving quality based on the renewal and creativity of madrasah managers who are dynamic, energetic, and have many ideas. Madrasah's task is to create highly competitive alumni academic and non-academic matters. This is implemented in the green card program. The green card program is a design or breakthrough implemented at Madrasah Aliyah Darul Huda Mayak Tonatan Ponorogo in developing superior students. This Green Card is a control book in the form of a module expected to improve or create superior students in the religious realm. This research aims to explain and describe the green card program as an Enhancement for Superior Students. This type of research is field research, which is included in qualitative research; the method for preparing or collecting data is by observing, interacting, understanding people in the environment, and documenting data. The data analysis technique used is analytical. The results of this research are that with the provision of the green card program, the competency diversity of students' practices and knowledge is said to be good and exceeds standards.

Abstract

This study aims to clearly describe the implementation of the National Science Olympiad organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Pattimura University Ambon and its impact on improving the quality of education. The focus of the research is the process of organizing the national science olympiad, and its impact on improving the quality of education. This study uses qualitative research. The data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the National Science Olympiad involves elementary, junior high, high school, and vocational school students throughout Maluku with a total of 3,323 participants. The region, which is dubbed as a sea-based archipelago province, is not a barrier for students to compete to be the best. As a result, when students excel in a competition, the quality of education will be better. The supporting factors for the implementation of the National Science Olympiad are internal and external factors. Internal factors come from within students, while external factors come from the school environment and family environment. The inhibiting factors are the cost and location of the competition. Some of the implications of this research: Education Policy Design; Curriculum development; Teacher Training and Development; Increasing Student Participation; and Extracurricular Program Development. Research at the National Science Olympiad has made significant contributions to the following aspects: Development of Academic Knowledge; Improvement of Educational Practices; Support for Policy Makers; Motivation for students; and Strengthening Research Networks.

Abstract

Foreign language learning can shape children's social and cognitive future, Mastery of foreign languages at an early age in education can improve critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and advanced language learning. Chinese is currently the second most spoken language in the world, so it is not surprising that many educational institutions have included Chinese in their curriculum system since early childhood education. The use of TPR (Total Physical Response) and Audiolingual methods is an effective method for learning foreign languages in early childhood. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. This research involved Chinese language teachers at Filadelfia Kindergarten Surabaya and 15 students at Filadelfia Kindergarten A Surabaya. The results of this study, the use of TPR (Total Physical Response) and Audiolingual methods can improve children's speaking skills and memorize Chinese vocabulary at the Kindergarten A level of Filadelfia Kindergarten Surabaya. The use of collaboration between the TPR method and the Audiolingual Method provides a stimulus for learning Mandarin that is fun for Kindergarten A Filadelfia Surabaya students, this is because the combination of the two methods requires students to be active and make movements in accordance with the vocabulary being taught.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is a prominent instructional model fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills among students through real-world projects. However, the role of teachers in PjBL implementation remains underexplored. This study investigates teachers' perspectives on their role in PjBL, aiming to identify strategies, challenges, and opportunities in PjBL facilitation. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with experienced PjBL teachers using a qualitative approach. Thematic analysis revealed teachers' multifaceted roles as facilitators, coaches, mentors, and assessors, employing strategies such as scaffolding, collaboration, and technology integration to support student learning. Despite challenges like time constraints and curriculum alignment issues, teachers perceive PjBL as valuable for enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. The study concludes that teachers' perspectives on PjBL facilitation are influenced by their beliefs, experiences, and contextual factors. To support effective PjBL implementation, continuous professional development, administrative support, and resource access are essential. Recognizing and addressing teachers' perspectives can facilitate successful PjBL adoption in diverse educational settings. This study contributes nuanced insights into teachers' roles in PjBL, offering practical implications for educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers striving to enhance PjBL implementation and effectiveness.

Abstract

This study employs a quantitative-correlational approach to investigate academic procrastination among 8th-grade students at Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Junior High School in Sragen Regency for the academic year 2023/2024. It aims to assess the level of academic procrastination, determine the learning outcomes of Akidah Akhlak subjects, and explore the impact of academic procrastination on these outcomes. Conducted at the aforementioned school, the research sampled 52 students and utilized both questionnaire responses and Akidah Akhlak scores for data collection. Findings reveal that the highest level of academic procrastination, at 33%, falls within the 28-32 score interval, while the lowest, at 0%, is observed in the 53-57 score interval. Similarly, the highest learning outcomes in the Akidah Akhlak subject, at 33%, are within the 85-89 score interval, whereas the lowest, also at 0%, are found in the 100-104 score interval. Hypothesis testing indicates a significant relationship, with an r count of 0.428 surpassing the r table value of 0.268. This correlation coefficient of 0.428 signifies a moderate level of relationship/influence between academic procrastination (variable X) and Akidah Akhlak learning outcomes (variable Y).

Abstract

Curriculum changes aim to make students superior, intelligent and ready to face technological modernization in the future. The Independent Learning Policy is the latest breakthrough established by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, considering the low quality of education in Indonesia as per the data collected, that Indonesia is still ranked sixth from the bottom when viewed from the 79 countries that master mathematics and literacy. So, to get output that is in accordance with the goals of the Independent Curriculum, there must be implementation of the right strategy, namely 1) Actively implementing Independent Curriculum Planning Training. 2) Carrying out training on the main material of the Merdeka Curriculum. The main material in question is about the content or main aspects of the curriculum 3) Forming a development team 4) Implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in stages 5) Periodic reflection on educational units 6) Facilitating the establishment of a learning community at the unit level Education 7) Bribery Implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students.
