Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by junior high school students in solving mathematical problems, especially related to solving arithmetic and geometry problems. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of 50 grade VIII students at a junior high school in Delitua. Data was collected through problem-solving tests and in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that the main difficulties of students in solving mathematical problems are understanding basic concepts, choosing problem-solving strategies, and misinterpreting problems. This difficulty is generally caused by a lack of understanding of basic mathematical concepts and the limited ability of students to analyze problems systematically. This study suggests that teachers use more varied teaching methods, such as problem-based learning and the use of visual media, to help students overcome these difficulties.

Abstract

Affective domain assessment is one of the activities carried out by lecturers in order to measure and determine the achievement of learning objectives. The affective domain is related to the attitudes and behavior of students as educated people in interacting with lecturers, other students and their environment. Disharmony between lecturers and students in the lecture process is the problem that is the object of this research. This is concrete evidence of the application of the affective domain. The aim of this research is to find out and describe the extent of the positive contribution of the affective domain in online learning for undergraduate students in the digital era. This research includes qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and questionnaires. The number of samples in this research was 35. These samples were students from the Faculty of Economics in the first semester of the 2024 academic year. The results of the research showed that students from the Faculty of Economics Undergraduate Program preferred offline learning or face-to-face learning in class compared to online learning. Students experience a decrease in their caring values ​​for their lecturers because they do not receive direct touch or interaction through in-class (offline) learning.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the perception of teachers in MIN and MTs throughout Jembarana Regency related to digital transformation and inequality in access to education in Jembrana Regency. The selection of informant was carried out using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of having taught for at least two years and being involved in the use of digital technology. Data were collected using semi-structured interview techniques, analysed and presented in a descriptive manner. The results of the study show that teachers see digital transformation as an important step in increasing learning relevance, flexibility, and interactivity. Technology is considered to enrich teaching methods and provide opportunities for students to learn independently through more varied digital media. However, inequality in access to technology, especially in terms of devices and internet connections, is a significant obstacle that hinders the involvement and learning outcomes of students who lack access. Teachers identified the need for policies and infrastructure development that support equal access to digital education as well as sustainable digital literacy training for teachers and students. This finding is expected to be used as a foundation for more responsive and inclusive policy-making to realize equitable digital education.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education can be done using various methods and approaches. Education units experience shortcomings and weaknesses in implementing quality improvement methods based on the results of analysis and facts that occur in the field. Therefore, appropriate strategic planning is needed by educational units. In other words, strategic planning in primary and secondary education units needs to be improved to realize better quality education. The aim of this research is to discover and describe the importance of strategic planning to improve the quality of school education using SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats). This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Research object at SDN Duri Kosambi 01. Data collection methods through interviews, observation and document analysis. The research results show that (1) SWOT analysis of the internal environment has more advantages (Strengths) than disadvantages (Weaknesses); (2) Opportunities are greater than risks in the SWOT analysis of the external environment; (3) Using SWOT analysis in strategic planning can improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the emotional development of group B during drum band activities at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 24 Gresik Kindergarten. This study used variables in the form of drumband learning in group B children, emotional development of group B children. Qualitative descriptive research respondents with case studies, observations, data analysis, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that in Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 24 Gresik Kindergarten in the emotional development of children during drumband learning, the researcher observed that during activities at the beginning of learning until the end of learning, practice habits were carried out once a week on Monday at 10.00 - 11.00 WIB, if it was close to the time for the drum band competition, the practice was held almost 3 times a week at a predetermined time school. In playing drumband, children's emotional development is a great opportunity in that development. With the right support, children not only enjoy drumband playing activities but also grow individual personalities that are more confident, disciplined, and able to manage the emotions of group B children well.

Abstract

In today's digital age, English language learning is growing, with various methods and approaches used to improve teaching effectiveness. One method that is gaining popularity is game-based learning, which utilizes game elements to create a more engaging and interactive learning atmosphere. Therefore, The purpose of the problem formulation regarding the experience of using Google Quizizz in English language learning is to explore its impact on grade 6 students' comprehension of the material, motivation, and enthusiasm for learning. It is important to understand students' perceptions of this technology-based learning method. Google Quizizz is implemented as an interactive learning tool where teachers create quizzes according to teaching materials. Students take the quiz in a competitive and fun atmosphere, stimulating their spirit to try better. After the quiz, the teacher analyzes the results to provide feedback and to see areas of understanding that need improvement. Student responses to using Google Quizizz are generally positive; many feel more motivated to learn English. The game element in the quiz makes the learning experience more interesting and less boring. In this way, students actively participate in the learning process, creating a dynamic classroom atmosphere. Overall, the implementation of Google Quizizz positively impacted students' motivation and passion for learning. With good preparation and implementation, this application can be an effective tool for educators to create an interactive learning environment. This research is expected to provide recommendations for educators to continue integrating technology in education to improve the quality of learning in Indonesia. One widely used platform in this context is Google Quizizz, which allows teachers to create interactive quizzes that students can access online. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with 29 students as participants. The instruments used were observation, interview, and literature study. The results showed that using Google Quizizz game-based learning can increase learning motivation and understanding of English materials.

Abstract

The urgency of conflict management in a multicultural educational environment and the diverse backgrounds of students in Islamic schools is increasing. Islamic values have great potential in offering effective and peaceful conflict management solutions. This study aims to identify relevant Islamic values and analyze their application in conflict management in a multicultural educational environment. This study uses a literature review method by researching various literature related to Islamic values, conflict management, and multicultural education. Data is obtained from various sources such as books, journals, articles, and other related documents. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify the main themes regarding Islamic values in conflict management and conflict management models or frameworks based on Islamic values. The results of the study are expected to show that values such as justice, patience, tolerance, and peace are important components that can be applied in conflict management in a multicultural educational environment. Challenges in implementing these values include limitations in understanding and training for educators and cultural resistance. These findings are also expected to make theoretical and practical contributions to Islamic education management and provide guidance for education practitioners to manage conflicts more effectively and inclusively.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low creativity of children aged 4-5 years at Dharma Wanita Kadidi Kindergarten, Sidrap Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the effectiveness of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in increasing creativity in children aged 4-5 years at Dharma Wanita Kadidi Kindergarten, Sidrap Regency. This study used a pre-experimental design method with a one group pretest-posttest type. The population used was children aged 4-5 years at Dharma Wanita Kadidi Kindergarten, Sidrap Regency, consisting of 7 boys and 7 girls. Data collection techniques were in the form of tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used was using the SPSS version 22 program. The results of this study concluded that from the level of children's creativity abilities before being given treatment (pretest) with the final mean result of 5.64 out of 14 children while the final mean result after being given treatment (posttest) was 12. 43 out of 14 children. The results of the hypothesis test (t-test) obtained a significance value (sig.) of 0.000, it can be said that 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that there is an influence of the effectiveness of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in increasing the creativity of children aged 4-5 years at Dharma Wanita Kadidi Kindergarten, Sidrap Regency.

Abstract

The school principal holds a crucial role in the implementation of educational institution program, particulary in curriculum management, where its important to understand the role and contribution of th principal. This study aims to explore how the principal take an important role in curriculum management. AT smp Roudlotul Huda, the principal’s responbilities include planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation process. This research adopts a qualitative method with descriptive and data analysis. The study seeks to identify the role of the principal at SMP Unggulan Roudlotul Huda, as a supervisor in insuring the effective curriculum management within the educational institution. The findings indicate that th e principal actively engages in all stage of curriculum management, from planning to evaluation.

Abstract

Teacher discipline is a key factor in creating a conducive educational environment and supporting effective learning at schools. Although most teachers have demonstrated good discipline, some still face challenges in time management and fulfilling administrative responsibilities. This study aims to analyze the essenciality of school leadership in increasing teacher discipline. The research method employed is qualitative with an approach of case study, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the research indicated that the school principal plays roles as a leader, educator, and motivator, through clear disciplinary policies, time management training, and the creation of a positive work environment. Strategies such as providing constructive feedback, rewards, and regular coaching have proven effective in enhancing and increasing teacher discipline. The study concludes that the role of school leadership is critical in establishing a strong culture of discipline, which ultimately has a positive impact on the quality of learning and the achievement of educational objectives in schools.
