Abstract

This study aims to disseminate the technology package that has been used by farmers, namely the use of Rice Transplanter. Rice transplanter technology can foster changes in farming activities which include changes in the knowledge, skills, attitudes and actions of their family farmers through increasing knowledge, skills and attitudes. By changing the behavior of farmers and their families, it is hoped that they can manage their farming business productively, effectively and efficiently. The long-term goal is to improve the standard of living and welfare of farmers, which is directed at the realization of technical improvements (better farming), improved farming (better business), and better living for farmers and their communities. The method of determining the population and sample in this study uses the Proportional Random Sampling technique because the population used consists of several farmer groups in several villages and sub-districts in Sidenreng Rappang Regency, which has a food crop commodity sector, especially rice plants. The stages start from the input collection (the input stage), the scouting stage (the matching stage) and the strategy determination stage (the decision stage). The results showed that the role of innovation and farmer response in supporting agricultural development in Sidenreng Rappang Regency in the use of Rice Transplanter was good and the use of rice transplanter was considered as a technology that was able to help farmers effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

In Indonesia, sea urchin gonads are consumed steamed, fried, baker or in a raw state, processed such as fermented pasta, bluder cake, fried cake, nuggets. This study aims properties the chemical and organoleptic properties of sea urchin nuggets with sago flour as a filler. This research method uses a simple randomized complete design (CRD) one factor consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications so as to obtain 5x3-15 units of experiment. The treatmen consisted of 5 treatmens, namely sea urchin gonads 95% and sago flour 5% (N0), Sea urchin gonads 90% and sago flour 10% (N1), Sea urchin gonads 85% and sago flour 15% (N2), Sea urchin gonads 80% and sago flour 20% (N3), Sea urchin gonads 75% and sago flour 25% (N4). The parameters observed include chemical properties, namely water content, ash contend, fat content, protein content, carbohydrate content and total dissolved solids while for organoleptic properties include color, aroma, texture and taste. Sea urchin gonads and sago flour gave significantly different effects on water content, ash content, color, aroma, texture and taste. The best treatment for sea urchin gonads 75% and sago flour 25% (N4).

Abstract

Jailolo Bay conditions for utilization activities, in the long term can cause conflicts of use, therefore it is necessary to regulate the utilization according to its designation with a zoning approach so as to prevent conflicts that will occur. The purpose of this study is to determine the zoning of the use of Jailolo Bay as a coastal conservation area and small islands using the Marxan method. Based on the analysis of the factors that support the determination of Coastal and Small Islands Conservation Areas in the waters of Jailolo Bay, the main recommendation is Coastal Park and the alternative recommendation is Coastal Sanctuary. The area of the coastal and small islands conservation area of Jailolo Bay is 1,166.46 ha, consisting of a core zone of 23.50 ha, a utilization zone of 43.75 ha, a sustainable fisheries zone of 1,084.86 ha, and other zones of 14.35 ha.

Abstract

One of the leading commodities of Ternate is Tuna fish. Tuna dominates with a percentage of 23.17% or 10,326 tons of the total catch landed in Ternate in 2019 (Ibrahim and Renjaan 2021). Tuna is a large pelagic fish that has a high protein content, which is between 22.6-26.2 g/100 g of meat and contains a low-fat content of 0.2-2.7 g/100 g of meat. The magnitude of the potential of tuna fish resources in Ternate must be utilized properly in order to be able to move the community's economy through the development of the potential of superior fish resources. Tuna is a fish which is favored by the community because it has a delicious taste and high nutritional value. However, the use of tuna in Ternate so far has only been processed into smoked fish (commonly called tuna fufu), grilled, shredded, fried, or cooked in rica-rica. One way that can be done is by diversifying processed tuna fish, namely by processing it into Rendang which can be used as icons and signature souvenirs of Ternate City. The problem faced by the residents of Tobololo Village is the lack of knowledge about how to process fish into fish rendang, so it is necessary to conduct training in making tuna fish rendang. The training methods provided are counseling and product demonstrations. After completing the training, the participants had the knowledge and skills to make tuna fish rendang.

Abstract

This research was motivated by excessive use of synthetic pesticides resulting in pest resistance and reduced soil nutrients. The aim was to improve soil health by testing the addition of the biological agent Trichoderma to each treatment of bokashi fertilizer and to find out the best interaction for each treatment. The research method used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 4 treatments namely control, bokashi fertilizer (cow, chicken and goat dung) with the addition of Trichoderma in each treatment of bokashi fertilizer repeated 3 times. Based on the results of the analysis of the interaction of Trichoderma in each bokashi treatment, it showed a significant effect on the growth of chili plants and obtained the best effect on the addition of Trichoderma with goat bokashi. Trichoderma also has an impact on the lack of whitefly attacks as a yellow virus vector that previously attacked plants in the same land. In conclusion, the interaction of Trichoderma on bokashi fertilizer had a significant effect on the growth of chili plants with the best interaction on bokashi of goat manure.

Abstract

The decrease in the capacity of the yard is often the result of non-agribusiness-based management and inappropriate selection of commodities. This action weakens the function of the home garden ecosystem which also reduces its benefits as an economic, social and environmental aesthetic support. To grow this contribution, KWT has a vital role in generating yard optimization. This paper is to examine the role of KWT in increasing the contribution of the yard in the rural area. The approach used was a survey, which was conducted in Kayubulan Village from August to October 2018. The research sample consisted of 60 people and was analyzed descriptively including analysis of contribution, role, working hours and income. The results showed that 42.42% of the yard area was utilized for the cultivation of vegetables, fruit and spices. The time spent by women farmers is 23.28 JKSP/month, and the contribution of yard management is 54.61%. Yard management is able to contribute IDR 403,175/month equivalent to 15.28%. This indicates that good management of the yard will be able to increase profits by choosing an adaptive pattern, business potential and based on the family's primary needs.
