Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Islamic education in Indonesia. The focus of this research includes aspects of the early growth of Islamic education in Indonesia, Islamic education during the Dutch and Japanese periods, as well as Islamic education during independence. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data sources are quoted from credible pages such as Google Scholar and SINTA. Then the data were analyzed and checked for validity through data triangulation. The results of this research conclude that the dynamics of Islamic education in Indonesia are divided into 3 aspects, namely (1) the initial growth was marked by establishing Islamic educational institutions in mosques or langgar, Islamic boarding schools, meunasah, Rangkang, and Dayah; (2) Islamic education during the Dutch and Japanese periods was characterized by a discriminatory and dichotomous attitude so that the development of Islamic educational institutions was very limited and received extra supervision, even the salaries of religious teachers were also limited; (3) Islamic education during the independence period was marked by Islamic education being taught formally in educational institutions as well as improving the quality of Islamic boarding schools and madrasas in teaching Islam.

Abstract

Islamic education as a formal teaching material in Indonesia has experienced at least three phases, namely the first phase since the entry of Islam into Indonesia until the era of Islamic education reform in Indonesia, the second since the emergence of ideas for Islamic education reform, and the third since the creation of the National Education System Law (in 1989). This research aims to analyze the existence of Islamic education in the national education system in Indonesia. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data sources are quoted from credible pages such as Google Scholar and SINTA. Next, the data was analyzed and checked for validity through data triangulation. The results of this research conclude that Islamic education is recognized for its existence in the national education system, which is divided into three things. Abstract

This study is to investigate how class VIII students' satisfaction at SMPN 2 Sei Bamban is impacted by the caliber of social studies teacher learning process services. Ex post facto techniques are used in this quantitative research design. With 62 responders/students, class VIII pupils made up the study's population. In this study, documentation studies, questionnaires, and observation were the methods employed to acquire data. Research employing partial t-tests yielded results demonstrating that student satisfaction is influenced by the quality of social studies teacher learning process services, with a t-count value of 3.385 and a t-table value of 1.999. This indicates that the t-count value is greater than the t-table (3.385 > 1.999), indicating that the research decision is acceptable. Additionally, the R Square table displays 0.160, or 16.0%, based on the coefficient of determination test findings.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how teachers communicate with students at SMA Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan during Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This kind of research combines a literature study methodology with a qualitative approach. Quotations for data sources are taken from reliable websites like SINTA and Google Scholar. Data triangulation was then used to examine and validate the data. The study's findings indicate that, first, there needs to be communication between PAI teachers and deputy principals in the field of curriculum development, particularly when it comes to carrying out lesson plans, syllabi, and follow-up student assessments. Secondly, when PAI teachers communicate about PAI material, they truly take into account the students' backgrounds, abilities, and the fundamental skills that all teachers should possess, such as the ability to explain complex material in a way that students can easily understand and accept.

Abstract

This study explores fostering children's interest in calligraphy within an Islamic educational framework. By investigating factors influencing children's engagement with calligraphy and effective strategies for enhancing their appreciation for this art form, it aims to contribute to understanding and promoting calligraphy among young Muslims. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research delves into participants' experiences and perceptions through questionnaires and interviews. The study involved students and teachers at Asy-Syifa Madrasah in Bandung Regency, Indonesia. Calligraphy, defined as the art of writing or drawing combining Arabic letters with intricate designs, serves as a means of conveying Allah's revelation. Findings indicate children possess an inherent interest in calligraphy, but lack opportunities for in-depth learning within the school curriculum due to constraints such as limited time, resources, and distractions. Modernization, coupled with a lack of understanding of calligraphy's value and parental support, poses challenges to sustaining children's interest. To address this, structured learning programs, opportunities for exploration, and adequate resources are proposed. Such efforts aim to enable children to recognize calligraphy's artistic and religious significance, fostering a deeper appreciation for this traditional art form within an Islamic context.
