Abstract

Various reviews and examinations of previous researchers on children's character building have been conducted. This is based on the realisation that character building is one of the main goals of education, especially in early childhood education (PAUD) which is known as the golden period of child development. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the implementation of religious and moral education at Permata Bunda Kindergarten in shaping children's character. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved teachers, students, and parents as the main subjects. The results show that religious education is integrated through habituation, storytelling method, and practical learning, such as ablution and prayer. In addition, the use of learning media in character building is also proven to be an important role in the process of building a generation with character. So that the utilisation of media is highly recommended as one of the strengthening of Islamic character in children. Through this research, it is concluded that in addition to exemplary aspects and habituation methods, providing learning experiences with the use of media is an important factor in building a generation of Islamic character from an early age. This is because children who grow up with the values of honesty, compassion, and responsibility will be better prepared to face the challenges of life in the future.

Abstract

Writing a final assignment or thesis is a requirement for graduation from an undergraduate (S1) program, enabling students to develop skills in exploring ideas, identifying problems, analyzing data, and presenting findings in an academic format. Emphasizing novelty is crucial to producing high-quality theses that contribute to their field of study. However, recent final assignments by students of the Islamic Civilization History Program at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya have largely focused on topics such as mosques, Islamic boarding schools, traditions, and religious figures, while other potential topics, like Village History, remain underexplored despite their capacity to achieve higher academic value. This aligns with the Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri) No. 50 of 2021, which supports the "Cultural Advancement" program. To address this issue, this study employs a descriptive method supported by interviews from direct observations at institutions and written sources from Google Scholar and personal libraries. The activities include providing intensive mentoring to students, incorporating village history into relevant courses, and developing new supporting materials such as a village history writing module, village history podcast videos, and a Semester Learning Plan (RPS) for Village History. The implications of this research is to strengthen local wisdom, increase student interest, and strengthen the historical profile of the village.

Abstract

Although the purpose of majelis taklim is to provide knowledge to the community, the results have not been as expected. The community has not changed in their understanding of science, and some have even become less interested in going to majelis taklim. The purpose of this research is to study the problems faced by Majelis Taklim Al-Mursyid in Bandar Khalipah Village, Percut Sei Tuan Sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency, as well as the activities carried out there. Another objective is to find solutions to the problems faced by the Majelis Taklim. This type of research is qualitative research that uses a descriptive approach and uses observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. In addition, they used data analysis for collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study show several problems that arise in the implementation of recitation in majelis taklim. Among these problems are that the administrators do not have enough responsibility to complete their tasks because there is no more food or alms after the recitation, the mad'u do not like the direct practice done by the ustadz, not enough media, and lack of understanding of the lecture. In addition, to overcome the problems of majelis taklim, the administrators should be given greater attention to the issue of organisational structure. This should help them understand religious knowledge, make suggestions to equip the necessary media, adapt the material to the needs of the mad'u, and understand the purpose of majelis taklim.

Abstract

Core Values Ber-AKHLAK is an effective breakthrough of basic values for state civil apparatus in fulfilling their duties. This is because employees must have basic principles that serve as guidelines in devoting themselves in totality to the state. This study aims to analyse three variables including leadership style, communication, and compensation on the work enthusiasm of government employees. Data samples were taken by census, using an interval scale questionnaire with a value range of 1-10 and documentation. In analysing the data from the tabulation of questionnaire filling, the analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis technique. In analysing the strength of the relationship, the coefficient of determination analysis is used, while testing the relationship simultaneously using the F test, and in testing the relationship partially using the t-test. From data processing, the results of multiple linear regression analysis are obtained as follows, the constant is negative at -14.117. The coefficient of the leadership style variable obtained a positive value of 0.637. The coefficient of the communication variable obtained a positive value of 0.507. The coefficient of the compensation variable obtained a positive value of 0.192. So, it is concluded that overall, the independent variables of leadership style, communication and compensation have a positive and significant effect on the morale of government employees of BKB-PP Buleleng Regency. The implication of this research is to show the significance of efforts to improve the performance of government employees through work compensation received by each employee.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the health impacts, social influences, and prevention strategies of the smoking phenomenon in gen Z. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The results of this study reveal that although awareness of the dangers of smoking has been widespread in society including Gen-Z, many of them continue to smoke for various reasons, including increased focus, stress relief, and even social acceptance among students. As a solution, collaboration from various parties, including the government, educational institutions, families, and health organisations, is needed to create an environment that supports a healthy lifestyle among Gen-Z. The government and health institutions are advised to expand anti-smoking campaigns to include positive alternatives for managing stress, such as exercise, yoga and counselling. In addition, schools and colleges are expected to conduct educational programmes on stress management and smoking risks through seminars, workshops or digital platforms that appeal to Gen Z. The role of the family is also important to provide supervision and support with open communication about the dangers of smoking. A comprehensive approach, including social support, education, and health campaigns, is expected to increase young people's awareness of the risks of smoking and encourage them to choose a healthy lifestyle without dependence on cigarettes.

Abstract

Studies on student communication skills have been reviewed by many previous researchers from various scientific aspects. However, those that lead to the analysis of student presentation skills have not been studied and specifically, accompanied by media assistance such as Bluebooks. Furthermore, this research will describe efforts to optimize students' presentation skills through Bluebooks. This research is based on issue identification, issue analysis, and design of actualisation activities with the help of actuality, validity, problematics, and feasibility (APKL) analysis methods, urgency, seriousness, growth (USG) and fishbone diagram methods. The results of this study concluded that student presentation skills can be optimized with the help of Bluebooks, starting from the availability of modules, guides, videos of presentation materials, presentation tools and skills workshops, and intensive guidance on improving presentation skills for students periodically. Through this research, the implication is that the readiness of bluebooks-based media supports the readiness and presentation skills of students. Thus, learning is more conducive and discussion activities are more constructive-transformative in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the efforts to integrate environmental education in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum from an Islamic perspective. Environmental education in this context not only focuses on theoretical understanding of ecological issues, but also connects Islamic values related to nature and the environment, which are explained through verses of the Qur'an and hadith. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to explore how environmental education is implemented in PAI learning, as well as to identify challenges and opportunities in its implementation. The results show that the integration of environmental education in the PAI curriculum not only shapes students' ecological awareness but also teaches the importance of maintaining the balance of nature as part of human responsibility as khalifah on earth. The program involves various practical activities, such as reforestation and waste management, which aim to instill Islamic values related to environmental conservation. Nonetheless, the study also noted some challenges, such as time and resource constraints, which need to be addressed to improve the effectiveness of this integration. Overall, this research makes an important contribution in understanding how Islamic religious education can play a role in creating broader environmental awareness among the younger generation.
