Abstract

Sodium percarbonate is a crystalline compound widely used as an eco-friendly bleaching and oxidizing agent. This study aims to synthesize sodium percarbonate using the wet method by examining the effects of rmass ratio and stabilizer dosage on product quality. The synthesis was carried out by variated the mass ratio of sodium carbonate to hydrogen peroxide and applying a composite stabilizer. The product was evaluated based on active oxygen content, yield, and stability. The results indicate that the optimal mass ratio is 1:1, yield product is 68.64% with 13.58% active oxygen content. The best product quality was obtained using a composite stabilizer composed of sodium silicate, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, and triethanolamine, with an optimal dosage of approximately 1%.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is a key competence in physics education; however, many physics education students still struggle to apply scientific thinking processes systematically, particularly in the Nuclear Physics course. This study aims to analyze the problem-solving abilities of mid-level physics education students based on the stages of Polya's model. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving two classes of fifth-semester students at the University of West Sulawesi. Data were collected through validated open-ended problem-solving tests and analyzed using descriptive techniques. The results show that 67% of students encountered difficulties in understanding the problem, 83% struggled with planning and executing solutions, and all students (100%) faced obstacles in reviewing their solutions. These findings indicate weak reflective and strategic thinking skills among students and highlight the need for the explicit integration of problem-solving models in instruction. The implications emphasize the importance of designing learning experiences that focus not only on final outcomes but also on fostering scientific thinking processes to prepare students as competent future physics educators..

Abstract

This research aims to examine the branding strategy implemented by UMKM Batik LAZARUS Jember in maintaining its existence in the local market. This research approach is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Informants were selected purposively, including MSME owners, employees and regular customers. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the branding strategy used includes visual consistency of brand identity, collaboration with local influencers, and active participation in community events. This strategy has been proven to increase brand awareness and consumer loyalty, as well as strengthen the position of MSMEs in the increasingly competitive local market.

Abstract

This study aims to explore entrepreneurial strategies and the implementation of digital marketing in the Nasi Goreng Sarjana MSME located in Mangli, Jember. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with the business owner. The findings indicate that the entrepreneurial strategies employed include the utilization of personal assets, keen market observation, and business development through partnerships and branch expansion. On the other hand, digital marketing strategies are implemented through the use of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp, as well as collaborations with local influencers and digital food delivery services. These efforts are further supported by creative content and live streaming, which enhance consumer engagement and brand awareness. The use of unique menu names also serves as an additional attraction in building brand identity. The study reveals that the integration of experience-based entrepreneurship with adaptive digitalization can significantly improve the competitiveness of MSMEs in the digital economy era. This research provides valuable insights for the development of MSME business strategies, particularly in the culinary sector, and serves as an inspirational model for young entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Aren Handicraft in preserving local crafts and exploring digital marketing strategies applied to improve product competitiveness in the modern era. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of digital marketing activities. The results of the study indicate that Aren Handicraft has succeeded in maintaining traditional production techniques by utilizing natural materials from the aren tree, which not only strengthens local cultural identity but also adds authentic value to the product. In facing the challenges of globalization, this business adopts a digital marketing strategy through social media and e-commerce platforms, which have proven effective in expanding market reach and increasing sales. In addition to the economic aspect, Aren Handicraft also contributes to community empowerment, especially women and marginalized groups, through job creation and skill improvement. The successful integration between the preservation of tradition and technological innovation makes Aren Handicraft an example of good practice in developing MSMEs based on local wisdom. If there is a business, support for technology training and digital infrastructure from various parties is needed. The results of this study provide strategic insights in developing a highly competitive local creative industry in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development strategy of Putra Bali rattan craft business in Seputih Village, Mayang District, Jember Regency, Using the One Village One Product (OVOP) approach. This business is a real representation of a creative economy based on local potential that has successfully penetrated the global market. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the strategies implemented included market expansion through digital marketing and showrooms in Bali, product development through material and design diversification, and innovation to maintain product originality. Despite facing challenges such as limited production capacity, prpduct quality, and minimal technological support from the government, this business was able to provide a significant ecomomic impacton the local community. The One Village One Product (OVOP) approach has proven effective in encouraging the strengthening of local identity and increasing product competitiveness in the international market.

Abstract

This study analyzes the potential of agricultural processed products based on local food developed by the MSME Cokelat Raddina in Jember Regency. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a single case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Results show the MSME utilizes local cocoa as the main ingredient and develops innovative products such as spicy chocolate and shredded chocolate. Branding strategies and digital marketing through Instagram and TikTok are key to promotion. The SWOT analysis reveals strengths in raw materials and innovation, weaknesses in capital access and digital marketing, opportunities from growing demand for local products, and threats from price fluctuations and import competition. The study concludes that optimizing local food programs and product innovation can enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs in the region.

Abstract

Perumda Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember merupakan BUMD yang bergerak di bidang agribisnis dengan kopi sebagai produk unggulan. Meski memiliki kualitas tinggi, produk kopi mereka menghadapi kendala dalam menjangkau pasar premium. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi strategi yang digunakan untuk mengatasi hambatan pemasaran, termasuk keterbatasan akses pasar dan kurangnya SDM pemasaran yang kompeten. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen internal. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Perumda menerapkan strategi seperti penguatan merek lokal, pemanfaatan digital marketing seperti E-Commerce, kemitraan usaha, serta peningkatan kapasitas SDM dan petani. Kombinasi strategi ini dinilai efektif dalam menjawab tantangan pemasaran dan memperluas jangkauan produk. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kombinasi antara pendekatan inovatif, pengembangan kapasitas SDM, dan kolaborasi lintas sektor merupakan kunci untuk menjembatani ketimpangan antara mutu produk dan keterbatasan akses pasar.

Abstract

Research serves as the fundamental basis for the development of scientific knowledge and the resolution of problems across various aspects of life. This article provides a comprehensive discussion on the nature, functions, and processes of research. The nature of research is understood as a systematic, methodological, and objective effort to discover or validate scientific knowledge. The functions of research are not limited to the advancement of science, but also include problem-solving, improving the quality of public policy, and fostering innovation. Meanwhile, the research process involves several essential stages, including problem identification, literature review, formulation of hypotheses or research questions, data collection and analysis, and drawing conclusions. By understanding these three aspects, research can be conducted in a more directed, valid, and practically beneficial manner for the advancement of science and societal well-being.

Abstract

Islam is a religion followed by more than one billion people worldwide, significantly influencing various aspects of life, including theology, social, cultural, and political domains. This study aims to examine Islam from these multiple perspectives using a multidimensional approach. In the theological aspect, the study discusses the fundamental beliefs in Islam, such as tauhid, prophethood, and the afterlife. In terms of social and cultural aspects, it highlights how Islamic teachings interact with societal structures, education, and the role of women within society. Politically, the study explores the impact of Islamic teachings on governance systems and political dynamics in Muslim-majority countries. Additionally, this study distinguishes between Islam as a religion and Islam as religious interpretation, influenced by cultural and historical contexts. The findings of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of Islam in various aspects of life and encourage interfaith dialogue and respect for diversity in religious practices.
