Abstract

Tangerang's green mussel farms are expanding. Green mussels grow swiftly and easily, thus many people plant them. Boatmen, divers, bamboo and rope sellers, clam shell peelers, clam boilers, stroller-selling clam sellers, and rice stalls that serve green clam delicacies all work hard on green mussel farms. Green mussel growers and other coastal towns rely heavily on sales. To make a life, farmers need excellent financial arrangements because yields can vary. This prompted financial management coaching for green mussel fisherman in Ketapang Village, Mauk District, Tangerang Regency. The activity took place from April to August 2022. Green mussel farmers should be able to run their enterprises and manage their money to enhance them. Counseling participants are mostly employed, according to their earnings. Most counseling clients don't know much about food-industry green mussels. Counseling changed everything. The counseling findings demonstrate participants' financial literacy. Managing revenue and expenses, borrowing tactics from financial institutions, or learning about business growth budgets.

Abstract

An important component in learning and learning activities is the educator, or teacher. Teachers play a very important role because they function as mentors who deliver and transfer teaching materials in the form of knowledge. The teacher also determines the success of the students related to the teaching and learning process. It is required that teachers improve quality and professionalism. One of its competencies is pedagogic competence, which is the ability of teachers to manage student learning, which includes understanding insights or educational foundations, understanding of students, developing curriculum or a syllabus, learning design, implementing educational and dialogical learning, utilizing learning technology, and evaluating learning outcomes. Not all Nava Dhammasekha teachers have a background in early childhood education. Based on this background, the author was encouraged to do service to the Nava Dhammasekha Karuna school, Teluk Naga Tangerang. This community service activity is intended to provide training and coaching aimed at helping teachers improve their pedagogical competence.

Abstract

The present education policy of the Indonesian government has implemented post-Covid-19 face-to-face (offline) learning at nearly all levels of education, excluding primary school. This encouraged teachers to adjust teaching and learning to boost engagement in class. Educators must be able to facilitate engaging, dynamic, and fruitful learning by integrating meaningful learning technology models in to classroom. The purpose of this paper is to portray elementary school teachers' implementation of programs that promote competence of relevant offline learning. Guidance offered by the Community Service Lecturer Team (PKM) during three sessions: introduction, application, and practice. As a result of this commitment, subject teachers at SDIT have access to a variety of interactive, relevant, and enjoyable learning experiences through the use of authentic sources obtained from websites and applications that can be utilized in the classroom, therefore, allow learners to acquire the learning competencies.

Abstract

One of the most abundant high-carbohydrate foodstuffs in Indonesia is cassava, this is what Keripik Kaca (Glass Chips) AKOPA uses as a MSME Partner which is the target of Community Service activities from Universitas Satya Negara Indonesia. The main objective of this community service activity is based on optimizing Keripik Kaca AKOPA’s waste to be used as cassava flour or tapioca flour. The methods used include training and mentoring as well as evaluation of activities to ensure the quality of the services presented. Based on the results of community service, a cassava-based derivative innovation transfer product was obtained, namely Cassava Flour. The product will be marketed through various online channels. This is done in order to increase the usability value as well as the selling value of cassava-derived products.

Abstract

Early marriage has become a national phenomenon, culture is a factor that has a major influence on the pattern of life in society, including early marriage. Marriage of various ethnicities shows that the problem of early marriage needs to be given great attention. This service aims to increase the knowledge and self-awareness of adolescents as an effort to prevent and reduce the incidence of early marriage, especially in Cihuni Pagedangan Village, Tangerang Regency. The target of the activity was students at Madrasah Aliyah Yapin Cihuni Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency. The Implementation Team for community service activities are lecturers from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Islamic Religion and Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Tangerang. The method used is directly with lectures, discussions and questions and answers at the 12th grade Yapin Cihuni Madrasah Aliyah. This activity was held on September 1, 2022. During the socialization, the participants actively asked the instructor about the material presented. All participants looked enthusiastic about participating in the activity and actively in the discussion. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed an increase in knowledge with the high knowledge category of residents of 42.9%. There needs to be guidance to increase family understanding to prevent early marriage. Guidance in this program is in the form of periodic consulting activities on a regular basis.

Abstract

After Covid 19, Indonesian students’ literacy rates have been slowly and steadily declining. The school needs to reorganize literacy creatively despite of limited face-to-face learning. Workshop of literary journalism and storytelling aimed to improve students’ literacy rates.   This workshop is a part of Bhayangkara University community service.  The implementation of this training is converted into five stages: introduction of journalism and digital media, SPOK patterning, writing narrative, and transforming article into digital.  The methods used PPP, inquiry, and Project Based Learning. Findings showed that students were able to use digital devices and creating descriptive text. Unfortunately, they have limited in vocabularies and figure of speech. They also lack of creating systematic paragraphs. After this training, students' views of literacy were increased positively, and their writing skills developed. However, this training can help students improve their think critically and strengthen students' literacy. This skill is a manifestation that can be developed into content writing and copywriting. Currently, the Indonesian industrial world really needs experts in this field. This skill is a great potential and timeless even though the digitalization is increasing.

Abstract

Students are certainly familiar with the term scientific work. Scientific work is written work that contains an explanation of a scientific discussion carried out by a writer or researcher. Scientific work is written work, specifically writing a thesis. For every student completing their studies, they are required to write a scientific work, because it is a regulation in higher education that they will graduate or get a degree when they have completed all the demands in higher education, namely writing a thesis. So it is necessary to hold training in writing Scientific Writing (KTI) for tourism study program students, Faculty of Tourism and Creative Industries, Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang. With this training activity, it is hoped that students will be able to increase their knowledge and skills in writing scientific papers, namely writing theses or other scientific works. The methods used in this service or training in writing scientific papers are the lecture method, discussion method and writing practice method. This training was carried out over three meetings starting from Tuesday to Thursday 17-19 October 2023. The training participants were 20 tourism study program students from the Faculty of Tourism and Creative Industries. Based on the results of the training. Students are trained in choosing titles and determining topics and creating an outline for an essay. Students are able to write problem formulations well by following the systematics of writing scientific papers. With the level of student ability in the training process, the level of student ability in understanding how to choose a title is 80%, compiling an outline online is 82%, practicing writing is 75%, while students find it difficult to determine a topic at 5%.Students are certainly familiar with the term scientific work. Abstract

This study aims to describe community participation in the development of Kemiri Tourism Village, Panti District, Jember Regency. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Data collection methods used in this study are in depth interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that not all of the participation went well and optimally. Community participation in decision making can be said to be good, community participation in the implementation as reflected in the contribution of energy and information dissemination can be said to be good, while in the form of donations of funds and materials it can be said to be very lacking. Community participation in taking benefits can be said to be quite good and community participation in evaluation can be said to be quite good. Efforts to develop Kemiri Tourism Village are carried out by developing tourist attractions and promoting through social media.

Abstract

This empowerment program aims to help the family of Mrs. Lilis Suryani, a single mother with a disabled child, in improving her welfare through a wet cake sales business. This research uses a qualitative approach with the Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) method which involves students as researchers to gain an in-depth understanding of the social problems faced by the community through a process of identification and partnership with the local community. This activity took place for approximately 2 months in the East Jakarta area, precisely in the Condet area, Kramat Jati District, Balekambang Village. The implementation of the program includes preparation activities, fundraising, purchasing the items needed, handing over business capital assistance, and evaluating activities. The results of this program show an increase in the daily income of Mrs. Lilis's family from an average of Rp. 30,000-40,000 to Rp. 60,000-160,000 per day, as well as the growth of enthusiasm and motivation to continue developing her business. This program emphasizes the importance of community empowerment, especially for poor families who face economic limitations and challenges in caring for children with disabilities. Collaboration between students, communities, and related parties has proven effective in creating solutions that can improve the welfare of poor families and bring positive changes in their lives.

Abstract

 Stunting is a problem that is often encountered in infants and toddlers and can result in increased morbidity and mortality. Prevention and management of stunting can be done with complementary therapy with baby massage to stimulate growth and development. Providing baby massage treatment is the best and cheapest form of alternative treatment in an effort to increase the baby's weight optimally so as to increase the baby's weight and increase the child's growth and development in the future. Method: There were 15 participants. This activity was carried out for 60 minutes of counseling and 60 minutes of teaching baby massage to the mother. In this activity, the participants are babies and toddlers as well as their respective mothers or companions in the RW 08 Periuk Damai Housing Complex, Tangerang-Banten City, Posyandu Melati VIII and want to know information about Baby Massage Education for Stunting Prevention and Optimizing Child Growth and Development.. This activity was held on Agustus,24 2023. During the socialization, the participants actively asked the instructor about the material presented. All participants looked enthusiastic about participating in the activity and actively in the discussion. The results of the pre-test and post-test shows that the frequency distribution of pre-test baby massage education with good knowledge was 4 respondents (27%), 11 respondents (73%) had poor knowledge. Frequency distribution of post-test baby massage education with good knowledge was 13 respondents (87%), with poor knowledge was 2 respondents (13%). Growth and development examination with KMS was good for 5 respondents (33%) or less for 10 respondents (67%)%. There needs education about massage for child to increase growth and development also to prevent stunting.
