Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of free shipping promotions, advertising and celebrity endorsements on purchasing decisions reviewed from the Shopee and TikTok platforms. This type of research is associative research. Data collection in this study was carried out through a survey approach with a quantitative descriptive research type by distributing questionnaires to 86 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis tool used in this study used SPSS. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that free promotions, advertising and celebrity endorsements influence purchasing decisions both partially and simultaneously. It can be seen from the results of the determination coefficient of 0.623. This value means that purchasing decisions can be explained by free shipping promotions, advertising and celebrity endorsements by 62.3%. While the remaining 37.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how profitability in financial performance and company size affect company value, with a case study on PT. Indo Beras Unggul (PT. IBU). Profitability is an important indicator in measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of management in generating profits. Meanwhile, company size is often associated with stability, access to financing, and investor perceptions of risk. Using a qualitative approach, data were obtained through financial report documentation, literature studies, and descriptive analysis of the company's internal conditions. The results of the study indicate that increasing profitability is directly proportional to increasing company value, but company size is not always directly correlated to that value, depending on market perception and operational efficiency. This study recommends that companies must maintain a balance between size growth and profitability effectiveness to keep company value competitive.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of financial literacy on the business sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. MSMEs play a strategic role in the national economy but face challenges such as limited access to financing and suboptimal financial management. Financial literacy is key in helping MSMEs manage cash flow, access formal financial services, and make sound investment decisions. This research employs a literature review method to evaluate the relationship between financial literacy and MSME business sustainability. The findings reveal that financial literacy influences financial decision-making, enhances access to financing, and reduces financial risks. Additionally, aspects such as budget planning, debt management, and the use of financial technology significantly affect MSME sustainability. This study provides strategic recommendations, including implementing integrated financial literacy education programs utilizing digital technology and collaborating with financial institutions to support sustainable MSME growth.

Abstract

The increase in the Value Added Tax (VAT) rate from 11% to 12% which will be enforced starting January 2025 is part of the tax reform efforts aimed at increasing state revenues and strengthening the foundation of national development. It is estimated that this policy can generate additional revenues of up to IDR 150 trillion per year, which will be used to fulfill strategic sectors such as infrastructure, education, health, and poverty alleviation programs. However, this policy also raises concerns about its negative impacts, such as decreased purchasing power, increased inflation, and pressure on the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Therefore, this study aims to examine strategies for strengthening the national economy through a comprehensive approach, including providing tax incentives to MSMEs, subsidies for basic needs, strengthening social assistance, and increasing transparency in managing the state budget in order to mitigate the impact of the policy fairly and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic profitability of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk during the period 2021–2023. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this study evaluates the company's financial performance through profitability ratio analysis, including Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE). Data were obtained from the company's publicly available annual financial reports. The results of the analysis show a fluctuating trend in the company's profitability during the period, reflecting the impact of changing business strategies and market conditions. These findings provide insight for management in formulating more effective business strategies in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and work discipline on employee performance at the KPRI Sutera Office. The problem raised in this study is the fluctuation of employee performance which is suspected to be related to leadership factors and the level of work discipline. The method used is a quantitative method with data collection techniques through observation and distributing questionnaires to KPRI employees. The results of the study indicate that leadership has a significant influence on employee performance, which means that the better the leadership applied, the higher the employee performance. In addition, work discipline also has a significant effect on performance, where employees who have a high level of discipline tend to show better productivity. This study provides a strategic contribution in answering employee performance problems, as well as providing recommendations for management to improve performance by strengthening aspects of leadership and discipline. In addition, the results of this study can also be a scientific reference in human resource management studies, especially in the cooperative sector in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of rewards and competence on employee performance at the Solok City Regional Disaster Management Agency, using a quantitative approach with a sample of 64 respondents. Based on the t-test results for variable X1 (Reward), the t-value of 0.884 is lower than the t-table value of 1.999, and the significance level of 0.380 exceeds 0.05, indicating that the reward variable does not significantly affect employee performance (Y). Meanwhile, for variable X2 (Competence), the t-value of 4.529 exceeds the t-table value of 1.999, and the significance level of 0.000 is below 0.05, showing that competence has a significant effect on employee performance. The F-test analysis reveals an F-value of 16.368, which is higher than the F-table value of 3.15, meaning that both Reward (X1) and Competence (X2) collectively influence employee performance. Additionally, the R Square value of 0.349 indicates that 34.9% of employee performance can be explained by Reward and Competence, while the remaining 65.1% is influenced by other variables not covered in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work overload towards turnover intention in employees of the Misi Pasaraya supermarket in Barru Regency. The variables that are used in this research are work overload as the dependent variable (X) and turnover intention as the independent variable (Y). Respondents that participated in this study were all employees of the Misi Pasaraya supermarket in Barru Regency, namely 50 employees. Data collection was done through distributing questionnaires. The technique that are used to analyze the research data is simple linear regression test with the help of IBM SPSS 25.00 for windows. The results that the study show is that excessive workload has a significant positive effect on exit intentions in employees of the Misi Pasaraya Supermarket in Barru Regency. The more workload the employees feel, the higher the intention of employees to leave their jobs. This is based on the results of the hypothesis test (t test) where the t-count value of 6.730 is greater than the t-table value of 2.011. While the significance value of 0.000 is much smaller than 0.05. Based on the results of the R-squared test, it can be seen that there is still a considerable proportion of variation in turnover intention, meaning that there are still other factors outside of workload that have a stronger influence in determining the intention to leave. So that work overload is not the main factor in measuring turnover intention in these supermarket employees.

Abstract

Consumer purchasing decisions are influenced by various factors, including brand image, celebrity endorsements, and lifestyle. In the motorcycle industry, particularly for the Honda Scoopy brand, understanding how these factors influence consumer decisions is crucial. This study aims to identify and analyze the impact of celebrity endorsers, brand image, and lifestyle on purchasing decisions of Honda Scoopy motorcycles in Bumiayu, Brebes. To achieve this, a quantitative associative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 96 respondents. The data collected were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of Microsoft Excel software. The results indicate that lifestyle significantly influences purchasing decisions for Honda Scoopy motorcycles. In contrast, celebrity endorsers and brand image did not show a significant effect on purchasing decisions on a partial basis. However, simultaneously, all three variables had a significant impact on purchasing decisions. The implications of these findings suggest that a deep understanding of consumer lifestyle is a key factor in designing effective marketing strategies. Therefore, it is recommended that companies focus their strategies on aligning products with consumer lifestyles and strengthen the lifestyle element in marketing communications, despite the insignificant influence of celebrity endorsers and brand image in this study.

Abstract

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a tool that has the ability to protect a person at work whose function is to isolate the body of the workforce from hazards in the workplace. PPE is a personal protective equipment used by the workforce directly to prevent accidents caused by various factors that exist or arise in the work environment. The problem raised is the Effect of the Application of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on the Number of Accidents. In this study, the design used is Literature Review. The method in searching article data sources is carried out through the Google database to retrieve relevant articles published in Indonesian. From the above exposures, it is explained that work accidents can be caused by human factors (unsafe action) and environmental factors (unsafe conditions). And it can be concluded that the application of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) has a great effect on the number of accidents. Because Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration in 2010 is a tool that has the ability to protect a person whose function is to isolate part or all of the body from potential dangers in the workplace. The use of PPE is the final stage of work accident control, its use will be important if there is a potential risk of work accidents. However, in reality, there are still many workers who do not use it even though they know the great benefits of using PPE.
