Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze how organizational culture and human resource competencies influence the performance of members in Student Activity Units (UKM) at the University of Bangka Belitung. The main problems identified include low commitment, active participation, and member competencies, which impact the effectiveness and sustainability of the organization. This study employs a quantitative approach as a survey method involving all UKM members as respondents, totaling 123 individuals, using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using linear regression to identify relationships between variables. The results indicate that organizational culture and human resource competencies have a positive and significant influence on organizational member performance. Strengthening an inclusive and professional organizational culture, as well as enhancing member competencies through training and development, are recommended as key strategies to improve SME performance in the university environment. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for SME managers and university authorities in formulating sustainable policies for student organization development

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Break-Even Point (BEP) of Clorot Cemethut MSMEs in Purworejo during 2022-2024 as a basis for pricing and production optimization. Quantitative descriptive methods are used to calculate BEP, Margin of Safety (MoS), and optimal production volume. The results show fluctuations in BEP and MoS each year which are influenced by fixed costs, variables, and sales. Variations in production BEP indicate the minimum amount of sales required so that MSMEs do not suffer losses. MoS increased rapidly in 2024, providing flexibility in pricing strategy. It is recommended that MSMEs evaluate BEP and MoS periodically to adjust their strategies to market dynamics, increase profitability, and improve business sustainability. This study provides a better basis for decision making in facing competition and market changes.

Abstract

Determining the optimal capital structure is a critical element in corporate financial decision-making, particularly in capital-intensive sectors such as manufacturing. This study aims to examine the role of Weighted Marginal Cost of Capital (WMCC) as an evaluative indicator for optimizing capital structure in Indonesian manufacturing companies. A literature review approach was employed by analyzing 26 relevant national and international journals, both theoretically and contextually. The findings indicate that WMCC offers a more accurate assessment of additional financing efficiency compared to WACC, as it reflects the marginal cost of each new unit of capital raised. Key factors influencing WMCC include corporate governance, risk disclosure, macroeconomic stability, and ownership structure. These results imply the need for adopting WMCC in corporate financial management as a more precise foundation for evaluating investment decisions and funding strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between diversity and workforce well-being in Indonesia using a literature review approach. Workforce diversity encompasses various elements such as age, gender, culture, and types of employment, which if managed effectively can enhance creativity and productivity. However, without inclusive management strategies, diversity may lead to discrimination and imbalance. Moreover, employee well-being is influenced not only by wages but also by social protection, legal safeguards, and work-life balance. National regulations, such as the Labor Law and its implementing rules, reflect formal efforts to protect workers, yet their implementation remains insufficient, particularly for vulnerable groups such as women and contract workers. This study highlights the importance of collaboration among the government, companies, and workers in creating fair and sustainable workplaces. It also emphasizes the need to strengthen regulations and supervision to achieve comprehensive workforce well-being.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of financial literacy, risk perception, and herding behavior on investment decisions Komunitas Saham Pemula in Medan City. As retail investors increasingly participate in the Indonesian capital market, understanding the behavioral factors that shape their decision-making becomes essential. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected from 50 beginner investors selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that financial literacy has a significant positive effect on investment decisions, suggesting that greater financial knowledge supports more rational and informed stock selection. Conversely, risk perception negatively affects decision-making, demonstrating that perceived risk discourages investment. Additionally, herding behavior shows a strong positive influence, indicating a tendency among beginner investors to follow market trends or peer recommendations without independent analysis. These results align with behavioral finance theory, highlighting the role of both cognitive and social factors in financial decisions. The study offers practical implications for financial educators, regulators, and investment platforms to design targeted interventions that enhance investment decision quality. The findings also underscore the need for behavioral-based investor education that addresses risk management and bias awareness among novice market participants

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in Indonesia’s economic growth but often face challenges in managing human resources, particularly in implementing fair and efficient compensation systems. This study was conducted at Mphoto Studio, an MSME in Bekasi, to evaluate the wage structure and salary scale of employees, and to analyze the effectiveness of the overlapping method in creating a more proportional and sustainable compensation system. This study applied both qualitative and quantitative methods through interviews and salary mapping analysis conducted between April and June 2025. The findings revealed that the existing wage structure prior to adjustment did not reflect principles of fairness, with most employees earning below the Bekasi city minimum wage. After applying the overlapping method, the salary structure became more systematic, flexible, and aligned with job grades. Despite a 6.6% increase in total salary expenses, the new structure remained within the company’s budget capacity. This study concludes that the overlapping method is an effective and feasible approach for designing compensation structures within MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extended Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in predicting purchase intentions of organic food products. It investigates the influence of environmental awareness, environmental knowledge, attitudes toward organic food, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on the intention to purchase organic food among young consumers in Indonesia. Using purposive sampling, data were collected from 100 respondents through an online questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The results show that environmental knowledge has a positive and significant effect on attitudes toward organic food, whereas environmental awareness does not significantly influence attitudes. Furthermore, attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively and significantly affect purchase intention. However, environmental awareness and environmental knowledge do not have a direct significant impact on purchase intention. These findings suggest that internal psychological factors play a more dominant role than external factors in influencing the intention to buy organic food.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the form and agreement of the distribution of salt import quotas for various food industries carried out by business actors through the Indonesian Salt Producers Importers Association (AIPGI) in the perspective of business competition law in Indonesia. In addition, this study also aims to analyze whether the action meets the elements of violation of Article 11 of Law Number 5 of 1999, as well as its legal and economic impact on market structure, business competition, prices, and supply in the food and beverage industry. This research uses a normative juridical method with a statutory approach and a case study of ICC Decision Number 09/ICC-I/2018, and is supported by secondary data from relevant legal literature and laws and regulations. The results of the study show that the distribution of import quotas by AIPGI is carried out without a valid legal basis and has the potential to lead to cartel practices, which leads to market control by a handful of business actors, price distortions, supply scarcity, and increased production costs in the food and beverage sector. Although ICC stated that it was not legally proven that there had been a violation of Article 11, this collective practice was contrary to the principle of fair competition and created an oligopolistic market structure. These findings underscore the importance of transparency, oversight of business associations, and consistent law enforcement to maintain fair business competition in Indonesia.
