The Journal covers the discussion of (1) the activities, strategies, structures and decision making processes of profit and non-profit organization or enterprises; (2) interactions between national or multinational enterprises and other actors, organizations, institutions and markets; (3) the cross-border activities of firms (e.g., B-to-B trade, finance, investment, technology transfers); (4) how the business environment (e.g., cultural, economic, legal, political) affects the activities, strategies, structures and decision-making processes of firms; (5) the dimensions of organizational forms (e.g., strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions) and activities (e.g., entrepreneurship, knowledge-based competition, corporate governance); and (6) comparative studies of businesses, business processes and organizational behavior in different demographics, countries and environments.

Abstract

In order to strengthen the manpower of a company, the company itself needs to manage its employees in such a way as to develop professionalism and be able to achieve the expected quality of employee performance. Work performance is the result of qualitative and or quantitative work carried out by employees in accordance with their responsibilities. Creating a decent work performance helps the company to achieve its goal. Several things that can be done involve creating organizational culture that suits the employees' condition, applying participative leadership towards employees and work discipline which conforms the rules. This research has independents variables, includes organizational culture, participative leadership, and work discipline. Meanwhile the dependent variable is work performance. The goal of this research is to examine and analyze the influence of organizational culture, participative leadership and work discipline towards work performance of the employee of DIRA Shopping Centre Balung Jember. Population of this research are 150 employees and the sampling method is cluster random sampling. It is used when the population seems to be wide and there are groups which look the same, but are actually different internally. There are 110 employees that are taken as sample of this research. The data analysis method that is used is multiple linear regression. The result of this research shows that organizational culture, participative leadership and work discipline significantly influences the work performance of the employees of DIRA Shopping Centre Balung Jember.

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether hedging strategies need to be implemented or not by cocoa farmers. This study uses an estimated hedging real income analysis using the Monte Carlo simulation method to predict the selling price of cocoa on the futures exchange or the futures price and the selling price of cocoa on the physical market or spot price. The historical data examined in this study are futures price data expired in 2021 and spot price data for the period December 2015 to December 2020. The results show that 85% (425 out of 500 simulations) of the estimated real hedging income are in a profit position and 15 % (75 out of 500 simulations) the estimated real hedging income is in a loss position. Based on these results it can be concluded that transacting with futures contracts is considered to provide higher prices and income than transacting in the physical market so that cocoa farmers need to implement a hedging strategy in order to protect themselves and optimize income.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of discipline work and work life balance on employee performance through commitmentemployees of the Honda SJMS Pesanggaran Dealer. The place of research is on Jl.Suprobo No.53, Banyuwangi. The research time is during January – June 2022. The research design uses explanatory research and respondents used as many as 35 employees where the sampling technique using a saturated sample. The type of data is qualitative data which quantified. Primary data sources come from questionnaires and from companies and secondary data comes from journals, books, and previous research. The analysis method uses path analysis. The results of the study using SPSS 26 software show that work discipline variables affect employee commitment, work life balance affects employee commitment, work discipline has an effect on employee performance, work life balance affects performance employees and employee commitment affect employee performance. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan sentra komoditas unggulan untuk pengembangan kawasan agropolitan serta menentukan strategi dan prioritas pengembangan kawasan agropolitan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kelayakan usaha tani Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) dan QSPM (Quantitative strategic Priority Matrix). Hasil analisis kelayakan usaha tani di kawasan pengembangan agropolitan ini layak untuk dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan beberapa indikator seperti R/C Ratio 1,46, NPV sebesar Rp. 321.329.609, Net B/C Ratio 1,55, Gross B/C Ratio 1,25, IRR 33,71% dan Payback ratio 4 tahun 7 bulan. Hasil analisis SWOT terdapat faktor internal dan faktor eksternal dari pengembangan kawasan agropolitan sentra komoditas jeruk nobilis, diperoleh alternatif pengembangan yaitu strategi S-O yang terletak pada kuadran I, dengan titik X, Y (0,59; 0,79) kemudian dirumuskan dengan menggunakan analisis QSPM (Quantitative strategic Priority Matrix) untuk mencari prioritas strategis pengembangan kawasan agropolitan sentra komoditas jeruk nobilis, dan mendapatkan prioritas strategis yaitu memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi untuk mendukung pembangunan hulu-hilir dengan nilai TAS sebesar 7,01.

Abstract

Human resources are vital things that become main movers to achieve the goals of an organization. Employee performance is very influential on the success of a company. The better the performance of employees in a company, the easier it will be for the company's process to achieve its goals. In the midst of the property business rampant, including hotels that went out of business during the pandemic due to the declining occupancy rate, Hotel 88 Jember and Luminor Hotel Jember managed to survive and climb back up again because they were able to maintain the performance of their employees. This is an important problem to overcome decreased occupancy rate that may occur in the future of hospitality business in Indonesia. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of work discipline, career development and compensation on employee performance at hotels under the management of Waringin Hospitality in Jember City. The object of this research is the population of employees at hotels under the auspices of Waringin Hospitality Management in Jember City, namely Hotel 88 Jember and Luminor Hotel Jember with a total population of 46 employees. The research data was collected by distributing questionnaires directly. The data analysis method in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. This study shows that the variables of work discipline, career development and compensation have an effect on employee performance at hotels under the auspices of Waringin Hospitality Management in Jember.

Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang setiap waktu selalu dilakukan. Tidak hanya bagi individu, namun untuk menjamin keberlangsungan hidup sebuah organisasi sangat diperlukan adanya komunikasi yang baik. Hal ini bertujuan agar segala fungsi-fungsi manajemen dapat dilakukan dengan baik dalam organisasi. Salah satu peran pentingnya komunikasi dalam organisasi adalah pada pengelolahan konflik. Koperasi Dua Putri merupakan badan usaha yang bergerak di bidang simpan pinjam yang kadang kala juga mengalami beberapa konflik yang terjadi baik pada anggota koperasi maupun karyawannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang mengangkat tema peran komunikasi organisasi pada manajemen konflik di Koperasi Dua Putri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa dalam mengelola konflik yang terjadi, pengurus Koperasi Dua Putri menggunakan dua gaya komunikasi, yaitu komunikasi terbuka dan toleransi. Kedua gaya komunikasi tersebut dinilai oleh pengelola Koperasi Dua Putri sangat tepat untuk mengatasi apabila konflik terjadi di organisasi mereka.

Abstract

Selama berlangsungnya kegiatan jual beli suatu barang atau produk, perilaku konsumen merupakan salah satu variabel yang sulit diprediksi. Perilaku pembelian tidak terencana berpotensi besar terjadi jika konsumen tidak terbiasa membuat daftar belanjaannya, yang biasa disebut dengan Impulse Buying. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh Visual Merchandising, Hedonic Shopping Value, dan Price Discount terhadap Impulse Buying Produk Uniqlo di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksplanasi dengan menggunakan jenis data kuantitatif. Populasinya adalah seluruh konsumen produk Uniqlo di Indonesia dan sampelnya adalah beberapa responden yang berusia minimal 18 tahun dan pernah berkunjung dan berbelanja di Uniqlo dalam 6 bulan terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Visual Merchandising, Hedonic Shopping Value, dan Price Discount berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Impulse Buying. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik Visual Merchandising, Hedonic Shopping Value, dan Price Discount maka semakin baik dalam membangun Impulse Buying.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of the Probolinggo City Government in 2018-2022, analyze the obstacles faced and efforts that can be made to optimize PAD. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. The location of the study is the BPPKAD of Probolinggo City. The data used are the 2018-2022 financial reports and interviews with employees and heads of revenue. The results of the study show that in 2019 and 2022 the target was not achieved. The average degree of fiscal decentralization is in the low category, the dependency ratio is very high, the independence ratio is instructive, and the effectiveness ratio is in the effective category. In addition, the obstacles faced are the lack of taxpayer awareness, less than optimal employee performance, lack of coordination with other agencies, the implementation of the HKPD Law, geographical conditions, many competitors, technological sophistication, and uncertainty of asset sales, as well as uneven data collection. Some of the efforts made include; conducting education, following taxpayer patterns, employee evaluation, digitizing payments, revitalizing and reallocating, holding events, collaborating with several parties, and evenly collecting data, as well as installing tax recording devices. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to analyze the influence of the physical work environment, work discipline and communication on employee performance at the Lumajang Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service. This research uses quantitative methods with survey methods and data collection carried out through questionnaires to employees of the Community and Village Empowerment Service. The number of employees sampled for this research was 55 people. The results of data analysis using multiple linear regression show that the physical work environment has a significant positive influence on employee performance. Work discipline also has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Apart from that, communication has also been proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dan menganalisis dampak kedua variabel tersebut terhadap minat penggunaan aplikasi keuangan syariah. Dengan melibatkan 120 responden melalui penyebaran kuesioner, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik religiusitas maupun celebrity endorser memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat penggunaan aplikasi LinkAja Syariah. Analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai p-value yang signifikan, yaitu 0.000 < 0.05 untuk religiusitas dan 0.000 < 0.05 untuk celebrity endorser. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara religiusitas, celebrity endorser, dan minat penggunaan aplikasi LinkAja Syariah di kalangan mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jember. Implikasi dari temuan ini dapat memberikan wawasan penting dalam strategi pemasaran dan pengembangan aplikasi keuangan syariah di lingkungan akademis.
