Abstract

Mattiro Deceng Village is an agricultural area with the majority of rainfed rice fields which have the potential to dry out in the dry season. Community residents often lack fresh water, which can threaten food security. The aim of the socialization activity on the use of hydroponic plants is to increase public understanding about planting techniques without soil which are simply made. It is hoped that these efforts will prevent the risk of stunting in children under five as a result of lack of nutritional intake. The method of this activity is lecture and question and answer. Before the lecture there was a pretest and afterward a posttest was held. Participants in this activity are people who have direct contact with the prevalence of stunting in Mattiro Deceng Village. The results of this activity show an increase in knowledge based on post-counseling practice. Therefore, it is recommended to carry out community service activities in other areas so that the reduction in stunting levels can be realized immediately.

Abstract

Kabupaten Maros yang terletak sekitar 30 km sebelah utara Kota Makassar memiliki luas wilayah 1.619,12 km² dengan 14 kecamatan dan 103 desa/kelurahan. Wilayah ini meliputi daratan dan pegunungan dengan komoditas pertanian unggulan seperti padi, jagung, kedelai, kacang tanah, singkong dan ubi jalar. Maros juga dikenal dengan sektor pertambangan dan pariwisatanya, termasuk Taman Nasional Bantimurung-Bulusaraung dan Rammang-Rammang, objek wisata karst terbesar kedua di dunia. Sebagai pintu gerbang ke wilayah Mamminasata bagian utara, Maros memiliki peran penting dalam pembangunan Makassar. Pemerintah Kabupaten Maros fokus pemberdayaan masyarakat desa melalui literasi digital, berkolaborasi dengan ADPERTISI dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM). Pada tanggal 13 Juli 2024, dilakukan sosialisasi pemanfaatan teknologi dengan perkuliahan, tutorial dan diskusi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh orang-orang yang antusias meskipun mengalami masalah jaringan internet.

Abstract

Backyard land is one of the agricultural objects that is neglected and receives less attention while it can provide additional income for farming households. The emergence of the phenomenon of rising prices of basic commodities that have increased every time is certainly a problem for the community, especially for small communities. Kelurahan Maccini Baji is located in Maros Regency and is considered a self-sufficient area. Therefore, the village should be a agricultural superior and advanced. Agricultural is one of the key factors supporting the local economy, which is expected to support Kelurahan Maccini Baji to become a more independent area in terms of economy and food, including family food security. For the food needs of the community in Maccini Baji village, the PKM team then conducted socialization related to the use of yard land which is often considered trivial to be an alternative strategy to meet family food needs. It is important for the community to educated to be wiser in managing yard land as a source of daily food and creating better and halal nutritional quality. The utilization of yard land can economically reduce family costs and, if done seriously, can generate additional income.

Abstract

Health education on Ultrasonography (USG) has never been carried out in Bonto Mate'ne Village, Marusu District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. Even though knowledge about ultrasound is very important to prevent stunting from early pregnancy. Therefore, the aim of this activity is to provide education on detecting early pregnancy through ultrasound examination of the uterus. The methods used in this activity are lecture, question and answer, and pretest-posttest to measure the increase in participants' knowledge. The number of participants was 15 people, but 11 people took the pretest and posttest. The implementation of activities ran smoothly and orderly. Participants were very enthusiastic and active. There were 5 participants who asked questions and they were answered satisfactorily. The posttest results also showed that all participants experienced an increase in knowledge.

Abstract

The importance of proper tooth brushing behavior must be taught from an early age, because incorrect tooth brushing will affect a person's dental and oral health. Caring for children's dental health from an early age is the best way to keep their mouths and teeth healthy. From infancy to 5 years of age (toddlers), it is necessary to teach the importance of dental care so that there is no damage or oral disease in adulthood. Dental and oral health is an important part of general body health that needs attention from parents. The purpose of the Community Service activity regarding Health Education is health counseling aimed at the Bonto Mate'ne Village Community. This activity is a Community Service consisting of 15 residents and invited guests involved in this activity. The target of this activity is parents who have children aged 3-5 years. Community Service Activities regarding Health Education (Counseling) on ​​"Dental Care for Toddlers" in Bonto Mate'ne Village, were carried out well. Community Service Activities regarding health education (counseling) on ​​"Dental Care for Toddlers" in Bonto Mate'ne Village, were carried out well. There were 4 questions from the counseling participants related to the counseling material and the community expected there to be further counseling activities related to knowledge of dental and oral health.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Memberikan pemahaman mengenai rancangan kemasan yang komunikatif dan menarik agar konsumen lebih tertarik (2) Cara mengurus hak cipta produk. Kegiatan  yang   dilakukan dengan metode   ceramah  yang  disampaikan  secara  jelas  bagaimana merancang kemasan agar menarik konsumen dan cara mengurus hak cipta produk agar dapat dibedakan dengan produk pesaingnya. Kemudian dilakukan  diskusi  untuk  mendapatkan  informasi  dari peserta  permasalahan  yang  dihadapi  serta  tantangan  yang  harus  dihadapi  dalam  menyalankan kegiatan tersebut. Kegiatan  pelatihan  yang  berbentuk  sosialisasi  untuk  pendampingan branding kemasan dan hak cipta produk Songkok Guru  berjalan  dengan  lancar.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat terkait literasi pemanfaatan digitalisasi dalam menunjang pemasaran UMKM. Pelaksanaan  kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi yang dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap yakni tahapan kegiatan perencanaan pengabdian, serta tahapan kegiatan pelaksanaan penyuluhan. Selain itu pelaksanaan kegiatan ini sudah berjalan dengan lancar dan warga masyarakat telah menyambut baik acara kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through digitalization is astrategic step to improve the competitiveness of local products in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. This research aims to explore the application of digitalization in improving thecompetitiveness of local products in Bowong Cindea Village, Pangkep Regency. The method used in this research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches, with data collection through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, surveys, and documentation studies. The research respondents consisted of MSME players in Bowong Cindea Village as well as other related parties, such as training institutions and village government. The results show that the use of ecommerce platforms and social media significantly increases market reach and sales of local products. However, challenges such as limited internet access, lack of digital understanding, and limited capital for technology investment are still obstacles. Nonetheless, digitalization is proven to have a positive impact in improving the competitiveness and productivity of MSMEs in these villages. This study provides recommendations for policy makers and related parties to strengthen digital infrastructure, provide ongoing training, and encourage MSME participation in digitalplatforms to expand the market for local products.

Abstract

Village Community Empowerment is an important effort in improving economic and social welfare. This community service program aims to empower the village community through training in making sweet corn sticks as an alternative business, involving a series of training covering the production process, packaging, and marketing of sweet corn sticks. The results of this community service activity show an increase in the skills and knowledge of the community in Pucak Village, Tompobulu District, Maros Regency in the production of sweet corn sticks, as well as the potential for increased income for the community through this business.  The method used in this activity is training in making sweet corn sticks, which includes delivering material related to entrepreneurship, product diversification, and hands-on practice in making sweet corn sticks. After the training, an evaluation is conducted to assess the community's level of understanding and skills. In addition, the service team also provides assistance in the production and marketing processes. Furthermore, this community service activity aims to foster a sense of self-confidence and independence among the community in running small businesses, so this training is expected to serve as a model for community empowerment that is sustainable and provides long-term positive impacts, becoming a model for empowering other village communities
