Abstract

Anting-anting leaves (Acalypha indica L.) are weeds that have various properties, one of which is as a lowering blood glucose levels. The chemical content contained in the form of flavonoids that function as inhibitors of α-glucosidase, maltase, α-amylase enzymes, tannin substances are also known to function as astrigents that can inhibit glucose intake is not excessive. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of anting-anting leaf extract (Acalypha indica L.) on reducing blood glucose levels in rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by sucrose. This research used 20 rats (Rattus norvegicus) as test animals which were divided into 5 groups. The group consisted of negative control group, positive control and 3 dose groups. The doses used were 500 mg/kgBB, 1000 mg/kgBB and 1200 mg/kgBB. Mice were made hyperglycemia with sucrose induction which was then given anting-anting leaf extract (Acalypha indica L.) according to lower glucose levels in mice. The results obtained were continued with the two-way ANOVA test and obtained significant results indicated by p < 0.05 (0.005) which showed there was a significant effect of anting-anting leaf extract (Acalypha indica L.) on reducing blood glucose levels in sucrose-induced rats (Rattus norvegicus). Significant results were continued with the post hoc test and obtained significant results.

Quantitative descriptive research with the method used is the survey method. The subjects of this study were PAUD teachers in Gunung Talang Sub-district, totaling people. The instrument in this study used a Yes-No choice test where the data analysis technique used Rasch Model analysis. The Rasch model uses the principle of probability on each available option which in classical test theory is preferred to the total score of the results of the test or questionnaire. The results showed that the level of understanding of PAUD teachers about the fulfillment of children's rights and protection in the PAUD Unit of Gunung Talang Subdistrict was in the "low" category of 51.31%, "medium" of 40.79%, and "high" of 7.9%. Based on the average value, which is 3.28%, the level of understanding of PAUD teachers about the fulfillment of the rights and protection of children in the PAUD Unit of Gunung Talang Sub-district, Solok District, West Sumatra is in the "low" category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the application of the Odonga Ronga Kolopua folklore on the character of group B children at the Pembina Wundulako State Kindergarten. The research method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest design. The research population was all group B students at the Pembina Wundulako State Kindergarten, totaling 30 students, with a sample of 10 students using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through observation sheets and checklists. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 24 and paired sample t-test. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence of the application of the Odonga Ronga Kolopua folklore on the character of group B children, with a significance value (sig) of 0.002. The implication of this research is the importance of using local folklore in early childhood education to strengthen cultural identity and build sensitivity to traditional values. The suggestion put forward is that PAUD teachers and parents can utilize the Odonga Ronga Kolopua folklore in children's learning activities, and further research can explore the impact of the story on other aspects of children's development such as creativity and language skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement in listening skills of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Guidance For Kids Using the GED Aplication. The research design used is quantitative research with a Pre-Experimental approach using the One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample for this study consists of 10 children from group B. The instrument used is an observation sheet. Data collection techniques in this study use observation and documentation techniques, while data analysis in this study uses SPSS 20. Based on the research results, it is shown that there is the improvement in listening skills of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Guidance For Kids Using the GED Aplication. This can be seen after treating the children three times; they can listen attentively, interpret, and understand meaning. Furthermore, it is evident from the results of the Paired Sample Test statistical analysis with a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.002 < 0.05, which means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is the improvement in listening skills of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Guidance For Kids Using the GED Application.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the most dominant type of politeness principles especially on approbation and sympathy maxims and the application both of them in Emma movie. This research was descriptive study. The corpus of this research was the transcript of dialogue spoken by the characters in Emma movie. The data are collected using the theory of Creswell which consists of five interrelated steps. These steps respectively deal with identifying the movie, gaining information relate to that movie, considering the focus of information, designing tool named datasheet, and administering the data. Then the data were analyzed descriptively using the theory from Miles, Huberman, & Saldana which consists of data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion. The researcher used the theory of Leech to analyze the most dominant type of politeness principles especially approbation and sympathy maxims and also the application of both of them in the movie. The findings of this research found the most dominant type of politeness principles in Emma movie is approbation maxim with 37 data (72.55%) out of 51 data. It is followed by sympathy maxim with 14 data (27.45%) out of 51 data. The application of these two maxims happens in family discourse.
