Abstract

Assessment is a series of activities to obtain, analyze and interpret data about student learning processes and outcomes which are carried out systematically and continuously, so that it becomes meaningful information in decision making. In the independent curriculum there are types of assessments as learning evaluations, namely: Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment. The purpose of this discussion is for educators to think about and plan appropriate formative and summative assessments for students. Then, educators should use formative and summative assessment techniques in accordance with the function and objectives of the assessment, the results of the assessment can be interpreted and bring benefits to students. The method use in this research is qualitative method by examining documents in the form of books, literature and scientific journals as secondary data which analyzed using content analysis. The research results and research conclusions in outlining the definition of formative assessment are data obtained in the learning process which will be interpreted by educators in order to decide on effective learning activities for students. Summative Assessment is an activity to assess the achievement of learning objectives and/or Learning Outcomes (CP) of students, as a basis for determining grade promotion and/or graduation from an educational unit. Formative assessment techniques; Goal Checks, Individual Discussion, Observation, Group Presentation and Self-assessment, while summative assessment techniques; Written tests, Portfolio, Performance and Projects. The usefulness of formative and summative assessments is to monitor, identify, analyze and improve the learning process, as well as evaluate the achievement of learning goals for students.

Abstract

This study was conducted at the school sdn west language 1 surabaya, by interviewing one of the teachers. This study aims to analyze any challenges that occurred during the 2013 change to the independent learning curriculum to teacher performance. The method used in the observation this time using qualitative methods, by interviewing one of the 5th grade teacher sd who has implemented an independent curriculum.This type of research data is using data collection techniques such as interviews with subjects needed in research as well as school data documentation needed in research. Results of research conducted at sdn lidah barat 1 surabaya this results analysis of change curriculum 2013 to independent curriculum study in teacher performance at sdn lidah barat 1 is still in the adjustment stage because the independent curriculum is a new curriculum, So the new teacher tried to teach an independent curriculum to the students in this in March initially with classes 1 and 4.In addition to the new first option to implement this independent curriculum.Teacher and learners alike need to understand the independent curriculum and still adjustment stage.Which goes back to the curriculum 2013 in exchange for an independent curriculum because learning is simpler and easier to understand.The achievement standards of the independent curriculum are simpler than the curriculum 2013, The materials given are also less, so that it can give time for the teacher to dive into each of his concepts.

Abstract

In the world of education, it is natural for researchers and teachers to innovate in the use of learning methods for students. One method that is often used is the Assessment Checklist-based Job Sheet. In line with the previous explanation, the purpose of this study was to see the feasibility of Job Sheet Based on Assessment Checklist as a Learning Method for Land Measurement Science Course. The method used in this research is a systematic literature review based on related research journals within the last five years. The results showed that the Assessment Checklist method is feasible to use in learning Land Measurement Science courses. The method can be an innovation that follows the times and with the help of pictures, tables and clear instructions can make it easier for students to understand learning materials.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the validity of the Big Book literacy media on the initial reading skills of deaf children in Elementary IV class at SDLB Putra Mandiri Tarik Sidoarjo. This research is classroom action research which aims to improve students' reading skills when studying Indonesian. The research subject was a deaf child in Elementary IV class at SDLB Putra Mandiri Tarik Sidoarjo. Initial reading ability tests and observation are the data collection methods used in this research. The implementation is carried out in 2 cycles which are carried out in 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. Next, the data obtained was analyzed using qualitative analysis. The research results from cycle I, cycle II, cycle III and at the end of cycle IV showed that the use of big book media had a positive influence on the early reading abilities of deaf children.

Abstract

In the learning process, mentally retarded students still have difficulties because they are influenced by memory and perception factors. Reading is a complex activity because it involves physical and mental activities. This research aims to determine the improvement in reading ability of mentally retarded students using the phonics method. The method in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this research were 5 students. The research was carried out in 2 cycles and data collection techniques included tests, observation and documentation. The results of the study showed an increase in beginning reading abilities in students with intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students are the background to the problem in this research. Based on data on study results for the odd mid-semester exam for class VII students at SMPN 01 Sungai Pua for the 2022/2023 academic year, 62% of students had scores below the passing criteria. Because of this, updates were made to convey material to students, researchers implemented the TGT cooperative learning model to students in the learning process. The aim of this research is to determine the difference between the application of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) learning model and conventional learning on PAI learning outcomes for class VII students at SMPN 01 Sugai Pua on the subject of Andalusia: The City of Islamic Civilization. From hypothesis testing using SPSS software, the significance score (2-tailed) = 0.010 < α = 0.05 and the significance score (2-tailed) < α so that H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that "There is a significant difference in the application of the Cooperative Learning model of Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type with conventional learning on the PAI learning outcomes of class VII students at SMPN 01 Sungai Pua for the 2022/2023 academic year on the subject of Andalusia: City of Islamic Civilization".

Abstract

The tsunami disaster that hit Pancer hamlet in 1994 created dark memories for the community. The people of Pancer hamlet seem to have forgotten about the historical traces of this devastating natural disaster. Awareness of disaster mitigation in society is increasingly fading. This made various parties concerned about the possibility of future disasters so that a conservation area was created as a preventive measure. This research is an ethnographic research with a qualitative research approach. Informants were determined by purposive sampling or directly selected by the researcher. Furthermore, in data collection techniques, researchers used three data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The researcher uses Peter L. Berger's theory of social construction as an analytical tool. The results of the study explained that there were concrete actions by conserving pine trees on the shoreline which were carried out by KUB Sekar Arum in disaster mitigation efforts. The institution always tries to make the surrounding community aware, provide examples, and socialize related to disaster mitigation efforts through pine tree conservation. The occurrence of externalization, objectivation, and internalization actions shows the formation of social construction in the community related to disaster mitigation efforts through conservation areas which are embodied in the KUB Sekar Arum.

Abstract

The progress of the times which allows developments in science and technology to provide very significant new patterns in the implementation of human life. Where humans can access various desired information in a very short time, communicate with other individuals without being limited by distance and time. Humans have now entered an era of generational change, from the millennial generation to the z generation. Where Generation Z is a generation whose development is in line with the growth of technology, which has caused this generation to become accustomed to openness of information and adapt to the values ​​brought by this openness. This causes this generation to experience moral decadence, because of the shift in values ​​that occurs within humans. The research method used in this research is a literature review, where researchers use various existing data and utilize various references in the form of information from articles, journals, books and various other literature whose validity and validity can be confirmed. The results of this research state that education is one solution for dealing with moral decadence among teenagers. The family also plays a very important role in overcoming problems that occur. Through ideal and sufficient education, problems, especially moral decadence, can be overcome or even disappear.

Abstract

Social studies learning problems related to the lack of understanding of globalization issues are a challenge for educators in developing appropriate curriculum and learning strategies. Globalization has a very dominant influence in various aspects, including in the field of social studies. Global issues such as the economy, health, security issues, outlook on life, human rights, poverty, etc. need to be taken into consideration in social studies learning. Social studies learning must be able to relate the subject matter not only to the school environment, but also to the global environment. Therefore, social studies learning must be responsive and organize itself in the face of globalization. Social studies learning with a global perspective can help students prepare themselves to face the future and deal with existing global problems. Appropriate learning strategies are highly expected in social studies learning so that students can understand global issues well.

Abstract

The aim of writing this article is to describe the homeroom Teacher’s policy in improving the quality of student learning in class. This article is scientific work created using a case study approach wth the research subject being student and teacher teaching in class. Meanwhile, The object of research is teacher policy. The data collection technique used is observation. The research results show that teacher policies have a big influence in improving the quality of student learning in the classroom.
