Abstract

This study was conducted at the school sdn west language 1 surabaya, by interviewing one of the teachers. This study aims to analyze any challenges that occurred during the 2013 change to the independent learning curriculum to teacher performance. The method used in the observation this time using qualitative methods, by interviewing one of the 5th grade teacher sd who has implemented an independent curriculum.This type of research data is using data collection techniques such as interviews with subjects needed in research as well as school data documentation needed in research. Results of research conducted at sdn lidah barat 1 surabaya this results analysis of change curriculum 2013 to independent curriculum study in teacher performance at sdn lidah barat 1 is still in the adjustment stage because the independent curriculum is a new curriculum, So the new teacher tried to teach an independent curriculum to the students in this in March initially with classes 1 and 4.In addition to the new first option to implement this independent curriculum.Teacher and learners alike need to understand the independent curriculum and still adjustment stage.Which goes back to the curriculum 2013 in exchange for an independent curriculum because learning is simpler and easier to understand.The achievement standards of the independent curriculum are simpler than the curriculum 2013, The materials given are also less, so that it can give time for the teacher to dive into each of his concepts.

Abstract

Abstract Massive developments in technology and social media have encouraged all aspects of life to adapt, including education. Teachers as the main driving force in education play a major role in creating quality education services for students. Unfortunately, the environment around students such as teachers who are still not in detail understand and are aware of the good use of technology and social media. Therefore, this community service was carried out to provide psychoeducation on technology and social media to increase digital awareness among teachers. Psychoeducation was conducted for 14 teachers at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Baru (SIJB) Malaysia. The implementation of psychoeducation by providing material, pre-test and post-test consisting of 23 questions about digital awareness and social media use. Results were analyzed by paired sample t test using Jamovi software. The results showed a significant increase in the understanding of digital awareness with a pre-test and post-test difference value of 8.07 (á = 0.019). This shows that this psychoeducation has an impact on significant changes in the understanding of digital awareness of technology and social media before and after psychoeducation in teachers. Keywords: digital awareness; teacher; psychoeducation; Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru Abstrak Perkembangan masif pada teknologi dan media sosial turut mendorong semua aspek kehidupan untuk beradaptasi, termasuk dalam aspek pendidikan. Guru sebagai penggerak utama dalam pendidikan berperan besar dalam menciptakan pelayanan pendidikan yang berkualitas bagi siswa. Sayangnya, lingkungan di sekitar siswa seperti guru yang masih belum secara detail paham dan sadar tentang penggunaan teknologi dan media sosial yang baik. Maka dari itu, pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberikan psikoedukasi teknologi dan media sosial guna meningkatkan digital awareness pada guru sekolah. Psikoedukasi dilaksanakan kepada 14 guru di Sekolah Indonesia Johor Baru (SIJB) Malaysia. Pelaksanaan psikoedukasi dengan memberikan materi, serta pre-test dan post-test yang terdiri dari 23 pertanyaan tentang digital awareness dan penggunaan media sosial. Hasil tes dianalisis dengan uji t sampel berpasangan menggunakan bantuan software Jamovi. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada pemahaman digital awareness dengan nilai perbedaan pre-test dan post- test sebesar 8,07 (á = 0,019). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi ini memberikan dampak perubahan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman digital awareness teknologi dan media sosial sebelum dan sesudah psikoedukasi pada guru. Abstract

This study aims to see how motivation and learning environment affect students' motivation and creativity at SMPN 20 Surabaya. Motivation and learning environment have an important role in the learning process that can improve student learning outcomes. A comfortable and supportive environment can encourage creativity and increase students' enthusiasm for learning to achieve learning goals. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to understand how a positive environment affects students' motivation and creativity. The results show that a comfortable environment and complete facilities, such as reading corners, libraries and laboratories, are very influential in developing students' creativity. In addition, the role of teachers is also very important to create a supportive and conducive learning atmosphere, appreciate the ideas put forward by students, and encourage them to be more creative and motivated to do more activities in the future. Therefore, schools need to create a supportive learning environment and provide opportunities for students to develop their talents and interests to the fullest.

Abstract

This research explores strategies in the learning process of Tungrahita students holistically amidst individual developmental limitations that cause learning difficulties at SLBN Juwetkenongo. Despite facing the challenge of developmental limitations within themselves, the school has provided innovative and creative methods in the teaching and learning process to improve the success of their students. Using qualitative methods, including observations, interviews, documents with teachers, staff, and students, and analyzing documents, this research identifies the main innovation strategies implemented by the school. These include developing the independence of Tungrahita students, increasing self-confidence, optimizing available resources, peer influence, visualization learning, implementing collaborative and contextual learning processes. The findings highlight how learning methods can motivate students with special needs and ensure the growth of Tungrahita students to be more independent and actively socialize with others. Despite the progress, challenges such as limited teacher training, availability of resources and the role of parents still exist. As a result, valuable knowledge was gained about collaborative and effective school management practices that can be applied in schools with students with special needs

Abstract

Academic learning difficulties are a challenge that is often found and faced by students when studying at school and at home. Internal factors such as motivation, ability, cognitive, and there are external factors such as family environment, teacher teaching methods, learning facilities and also teacher support are also important to determine the success of student learning. This study aims to analyze various forms of students' academic learning difficulties at school and at home, as well as understand the influence of the environment on the success of students' learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with teachers and questionnaires involving students, observations are carried out in the school environment of  SMAN 13 SURABAYA. The results of the study showed that students of SMAN 13 SURABAYA had diverse learning disabilities, learning difficulties that were felt included students having difficulty concentrating, sleepiness during lunch, teachers who lacked in explaining material and unconducive classroom conditions. In the questionnaire data that I got, most of the students had difficulty in understanding the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, English and Chemistry. This can affect the academic performance of students. The academic learning difficulties of SMAN 13 Surabaya students are caused by the interaction between internal and external factors. To overcome learning difficulties in students, efforts can be made such as strengthening learning strategies by teachers, improving learning facilities, and active involvement of parents in supporting the learning process of students.

Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects children's learning patterns, characterized by inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. These symptoms can cause significant learning difficulties, impacting academic performance and social relationships. Understanding the challenges that students with ADHD experience is crucial for Educators and policy makers to create effective strategies. This research analyzes the learning difficulties of students with ADHD at SHAFTA Islamic High School, aiming to identify the challenges in the classroom and provide insights for appropriate educational tactics and provide motivation for everyone that providing the right support to ADHD students who experience learning difficulties can help these students to get the potential they have. The method used is qualitative data obtained through interviews with educators. This study emphasizes the importance of implementing tailored educational strategies and creating an inclusive learning environment, so that the population can improve the experience and academic outcomes of students with ADHD.

Abstract

Education is a lifelong learning process that includes formal, nonformal, and informal aspects, aiming to develop students' character, knowledge, and skills. Apart from being a means of knowledge transfer, education also plays a role in the formation of moral values and helps students adapt to the dynamics of the times. Teachers are the main actors in the success of education, playing a role not only as teachers, but also as facilitators and supervisors who are able to create a conducive learning environment and in accordance with the needs of students. This study aims to examine the influence of classroom management on student motivation and learning activity at SMAN 22 Surabaya. This study aims to examine the influence of classroom management on student motivation and learning activity at SMAN 22 Surabaya. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The main teacher who became the focus of the research was Mr. Agus Suhendra, while the principal, Mr. Dr. Muhammad Romli S.Pd., M.Pd gave full support for the implementation of good classroom management in the school. The results of the study show that effective classroom management, such as the preparation of common rules, the application of project- and problem-based learning methods, and the group investigation approach, are able to increase student motivation and activeness in learning. Mr. Agus Suhendra gives individualized attention, uses interactive methods, and utilizes technology to create an interesting and supportive learning atmosphere. Good classroom management also includes maintaining the cleanliness and regularity of the learning environment.  Students who study in a classroom with good management tend to be more active than students in a class with less than optimal management. In addition, students' internal factors such as interests, talents, and motivation also affect their involvement in the learning process. Mr. Agus Suhendra plays an important role in overcoming differences in student activity levels, by providing motivation, special attention, and awards. Interaction between students is also a factor that can spur their enthusiasm for learning. In the context of the independent curriculum, the use of diagnostic tests helps teachers understand student characteristics more deeply to create relevant and effective learning. With good classroom management by Mr. Agus Suhendra and policy support from Mr. Arif Hidayat, students' motivation and learning activity can be improved, as well as help them understand the importance of education to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership strategies of school principals in fostering teachers' handarbeni (sense of ownership) in two early childhood education institutions: TK Ananda and TK Al Muttaqin in Driyorejo. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that principals who apply transformational leadership principles—idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration—successfully enhance teachers' emotional engagement and sense of responsibility. Despite challenges such as resource limitations and teacher resistance, these strategies effectively build collaborative and productive work cultures. These results contribute to the development of leadership practices in education to improve school quality.

Abstract

Student Management in Improving Academic Achievement in Full Day Schools (A Multi-Site Study at YIMI Gresik Junior High School and Muhammadiyah 12 Gresik Junior High School). Master’s Program in Educational Management, Faculty of Education, State University of Surabaya. Advisors: (I) Prof. Dr. Mochamad Nursalim, M.Si. and (II) Dr. Ayu Wulandari, S.Pd., M.Pd. Knezevich (1961) defines student management or pupil personnel administration as a service that focuses on the arrangement, supervision and service of students in class and outside the class such as introduction, registration, individual services such as overall development of abilities, interests, needs until they mature in school. This study focuses on how student management improves academic achievement in full day schools at SMP YIMI Gresik and SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Gresik. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method (Bogdan & Biklen, 1982)), with student management that includes planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating the results of learning implementation appropriately, and the results increase according to the expected target. The data sources for this study are principal, curriculum vice principal, student affairs vice principal, teachers, students, and relevant documents. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data validity check with triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results of the study indicate that: student management is well managed by the principal in organizing the initial planning of the KBM SK, additional task SK, achievement coaching SK, teacher training can be implemented to improve competence, learning well, and the principal evaluates teacher performance, learning outcomes, and student academic achievement results, students increase, students are more enthusiastic about learning, students can learn happily and comfortably, the average knowledge score of class IX report cards increase, and academic achievement (academic competitions) also increases at the Regency, Provincial, National and International levels.
