Abstract

Abstract Studying and reading kitab kuning is not an easy thing because it requires perseverance and the right method in teaching it. The objectives pf this research are to find The implementation of sorogan method in improving the ability to read kitab kuning at Islahuddiniy Islamic Boarding School and supporting an inhibiting factors in the implementation of sorogan method. The researcher used descriptive qualitative research in this research. The research data were obtained through interview, observation and documentation techniques. The researcher use data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing in data analysis techniques. The results of the research show that the implementation of the sorogan method is carried out by students first reading the book that has been determined by the ustadz or teacher, then the ustadz or teacher listens, pays attention, and provides comments. Supporting factors in implementing the sorogan method are the presence of ustadz or teachers who have the qualities or are competent in applying the sorogan method, the existence of books that are available, the existence of a structured schedule, and students who have a basic knowledge of nahwu sharaf. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are limited time and the lack of uniformity in students' understanding of the science of nahwu sharaf. Through this sorogan method, an ustadz can provide direction, control the reading and be able to determine the students' ability to master nahwu sharaf as a tool to improve the students in reading kitab kuning. Keywords: Reading Ability, Kitab Kuning, Sorogan Method Abstrak Mempelajari dan membaca kitab kuning bukanlah hal yang mudah karena diperlukan ketekunan dan metode yang tepat dalam pengajarannya. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui implementasi metode sorogan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan baca kitab kuning di Pondok Pesantren Islahuddiny Kediri Lomnbok Barat dan faktor pendukung serta penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif bersifat deskriptif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan metode sorogan dilakukan dengan cara santri membaca terlebih dahulu kitab yang telah ditentukan oleh ustadz atau tuan guru kemudian ustadz atau tuan guru mendengarkan, memperhatikan, memberikan komentar. Faktor-faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan metode sorogan yaitu adanya ustadz atau tuan guru yang memiliki kualitas atau berkompeten dalam menerapkan metode sorogan, adanya kitab yang telah tersedia, adanya jadwal yang terstruktur, dan santri yang memiliki dasar ilmu nahwu sharaf. Sedangkan yang menjadi faktor penghambat yaitu keterbatasan waktu dan ketidakseragaman pemahaman santri dalam memahami ilmu nahwu sharaf. Melalui, metode sorogan ini dapat memungkinkan seorang ustadz dapat memberikan arahan, mengontrol bacaan serta dapat mengetahui kemampuan santri dalam menguasai nahwu sharaf sebagai alat untuk memperbaiki bacaan santri dalam membaca kitab kuning. Abstract

Abstract The main objective of this study was to determine how the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning strategy affects the scientific learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of Poja II Elementary School, Sumenep Regency. Quantitative methods and pre-experimental designs, more specifically, quasi-experimental designs were used in this study. There were twelve fourth-grade students of Poja II Elementary School, Sumenep Regency who were used as research subjects. Information on students' learning outcomes in class was included in the data on learning achievement. Assessment of learning outcomes and observation sheets were used for data collection, and T-tests and descriptive statistical methods were used for data analysis. The findings of the study showed that students' science learning outcomes increased rapidly when the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model was used. The initial pretest average score was 59 and then increased to 83 in the posttest. The Jigsaw learning model can affect science learning outcomes, based on the findings of the study. In addition to encouraging student participation, the jigsaw learning model makes learning fun and interesting, making it easier for students to understand the subject. The results of the study showed that the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of Poja II Elementary School, Sumenep Regency were positively affected by the application of the Jigsaw learning model

Abstract

The Islamic boarding school is still often underestimated by society, particularly regarding the non-academic profiles of its graduates, especially in leadership. The purpose of this article is to convey the understanding that Islamic boarding school is not solely focused on Islamic religious education but also serves as an educational institution capable of producing excellent future leaders. This study uses a literature review method, critically examining various relevant sources. Through this literature review, the research finds that the pesantren environment, which emphasizes discipline, responsibility, and cooperation, is an effective platform for training students to become individuals capable of leading and contributing to society. Thus, Islamic boarding school not only produces knowledgeable scholars but also leaders with an empowering leadership style.

Abstract

The position of teachers in the world of teaching is very important. Teachers are the determining factor for the success of quality learning. Teachers as managers have the task of managing time and classroom conditions from the initial activities to the end of learning. Comfort for students while in class is important to find formulations for teachers according to the objectivity of their students. So before the learning process takes place, the teacher manages the class properly. Here the teacher is required to be sensitive to the condition of the classroom and find the character of students. The problem found at SMPN 4 Bukittinggi is how to shape the spiritual intelligence of students through the application of the managerial concept of PAI teachers. The research method uses descriptive qualitative method. The result of this study is that SMPN 4 Bukittinggi City in shaping students' spiritual intelligence conducts religious activities including conditioning Islamic schools, teachers as role models for students, and teachers help students to formulate life missions. And also by following several ways exemplified by the Prophet in terms of learning activities.

Abstract

This research discusses the transformation of Islamic education during the Umayah period in the contemporary era. With a literature-based qualitative approach, this research reviews the history of the establishment of Daulah Umayah, the role of Islamic thinkers in the development of Islamic education, and the implementation steps of the transformation of Islamic education institutions in the contemporary era. Data were obtained from analyzing relevant scientific literature. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper insight into changes in Islamic education and its adaptation to social and technological changes.

Abstract

Based on the results of the preliminary study observations in MA Islamiya Malo for class X there are 4 classes of 5 classes that have a lack of learning motivation more precisely in class X-2 there are still many students who are passive in learning, it is characteerizad by the number of students that are quiet and passive during the learning process, seen from the patteern of student interaction during learning, students tend not to pay attention to the teacher when the teacher explains the material in class. Increasing student learning motivation is a crucial component of learning succes. One alternative to increasing students’ desire to learn in today’s technology era is to use interactive learning media. The focus of this research is to find out how effective the use of interactive learning media based on Sevima EdLink against the learning motivation of students to learn at the eye of lessons Akidah Akhlaq fase E in MA Islamiyah Malo. The study involved all the students in the Malo Islamiyah MA X class, which totalled 135 people. The sample consited of 44 people, who were divided into two classes: one trial class with Sevima EdLink and one control class with books as the learning medium. The research data was collected through documentation, interviews, obsevations, and questionnaires of motivation statements for learning. Results of t-tedt data analysis show That There is a significan differenc betwen student learning motivation in the experiment class and the conrol class. This can be seen from the significance value of 0,023, which means<0,05 (sig<0,05). The average value of a student;s learning motivation questionnaire in an experimental class is 99,95, while the control class score is only 94,86. Study results show that Sevima EdLink improves students’ motivation to study phase E academic subjects in Malo’s Islamic MA. Students can improve their motivation for learning by using Sevima EdLink Which can make lessons more understandable and interesting.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a clear and appropriate direction for the implementation of moral faith learning through  the contextual teaching and learning model  so that it can increase students' learning motivation. The character of students in the contemporary era demands learning innovations that accommodate their needs so that they can survive in the era of globalization. This study uses a type of qualitative research with primary data through interviews with teachers of moral beliefs in MAN 1 Kendari. Data is collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques, then described, reduced, selected, and analyzed. The results of this study show that the innovation of learning moral beliefs in MAN 1 Kendari through  the contextual teaching and learning model can activate students, provide learning through the process of acquiring and adding new insights that can encourage students to analyze every problem presented by the teacher so that they do not just memorize the material but reach the level of understanding and application in life on a daily basis. The learning of the contextual teaching and learning model in the subject of moral beliefs is organized through reflection journals, research projects, case studies, open-ended questions, and group discussions.

Abstract

Yanmu NW Praya Islamic Boarding School is the first Islamic boarding school in West Nusa Tenggara that uses foreign languages ​​(English and Arabic) as the language of instruction/daily communication in the boarding school. The courage of the Islamic boarding school is certainly inseparable from the purpose of the Islamic boarding school itself in preparing their students to face an era that demands mastery of foreign languages. This study uses a qualitative research type with data collection carried out through several stages, such as observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses several stages, namely data reduction, presenting data and verification. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The language training design used by Yanmu NW Praya Islamic Boarding School is a modification of Dick & Carey. The training program includes English programs; a) 24hours-English, b) word deposit, c) story telling, d) virtual session. Arabic Language Program; a) muhadatsah b) Drill/ilqo’ mufrodat, c) Course, d) Masrohiyyah, e) art creation, d) ability, e) El-Syarif method course, f) Ayyami writing. (2) implementation of the language training program includes several stages such as the planning stage, organizing stage, actuating stage, controlling stage and evaluating stage.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to analyze how Islamic education in Egypt and Indonesia responds to the challenges of modernization in the context of Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method sourced from various literatures, such as books, scientific articles, and related official documents. Through content analysis of the collected literature, this study found that the modernization of Islamic education in Egypt emphasizes more on maintaining traditional or classical learning while adopting modern technology and curriculum. Meanwhile, in Indonesia modernization is more integrative, where traditional elements and educational innovations are adaptively combined. This study is expected to provide new insights into how Islamic education can develop contextually amid the demands of global modernity.

Abstract

This article discusses the relevance of Al-Ghazali's educational thought in the context of modern Islamic education, focusing on the balance between intellectual and spiritual aspects. In the face of issues currently confronting Islamic education, such as moral crises, the influence of globalization, and tendencies toward secularism, this research aims to highlight how Al-Ghazali's educational concepts can offer effective solutions. This is a kind of qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The data analysis technique used is content analysis, including Al-Ghazali's works and contemporary writings on Islamic education.  The study’s results indicate that Al-Ghazali emphasizes the importance of balancing intellectual and spiritual development to produce intelligent and moral individuals capable of facing modern challenges. His thought not only strengthens the integration of knowledge and religion but also equips younger generations with the character and ethics necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern world. Thus, Al-Ghazali's ideas are highly significant and relevant to developing a quality, competitive Islamic education.
