Abstract

The global maritime industry is undergoing a fundamental paradigm shift driven by the wave of digital transformation. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the influence of integrating the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method into digital systems and implementing a Maritime Information System (SIMAR) on the digital transformation of ship safety management in Indonesia. Using a mixed-methods approach with a case study of the MT. Rosa XVIII vessel owned by PT. Bahari Nusantara Makassar, data were collected through questionnaires from 19 expert respondents (ship officers, engineers, SIMAR operators, and operational managers), supplemented by in-depth interviews and direct operational observations. Quantitative data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that, partially, FMEA integration has a positive and significant effect on digital management transformation, with a t-value of 2.835 (sig. 0.012). The Maritime Information System (SIMAR) has a highly dominant influence, with a t-value of 8.003 (sig. 0.000). Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly affect the dependent variable, with an F-value of 117.038 (sig. 0.000) and an Adjusted R Square of 0.936. This indicates that 93.6% of the variation in the digital transformation of ship safety management can be explained by FMEA integration and SIMAR optimization. This integrated model transforms conventional maritime safety management from a reactive and manual approach into a proactive, dynamic, real-time data-driven decision-support system that is essential for the safety of the national shipping fleet.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Social Media Marketing (X1) and Service Quality (X2) on the Purchase Intention (Y) of customers at PT Sucofindo (Persero) SBU Mineral. Employing a quantitative approach, data were gathered using Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 100 corporate respondents representing Key Account and Regular Account customers. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression executed through SPSS software. The instrument testing results confirmed that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable. Classical assumption tests verified that the regression model met the normality requirements and was free from multicollinearity. Partially, both Social Media Marketing and Service Quality proved to have a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention. Through a strong coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square), this research model is able to significantly explain the variance in customer purchase intention, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings emphasize the vital importance of integrating interactive digital communication activities and consistent technical operational service quality in maintaining customer preferences in the B2B mineral sector market

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effects of customer experience and service quality on customer satisfaction at PT Sucofindo (Persero) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Coal. Customer satisfaction is important in the coal inspection and testing industry because corporate customers expect reliable, accurate, responsive, and professional services. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 400 customers, with 200 respondents selected using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error and accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS, supported by validity, reliability, classical assumption, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analyses. The results showed that customer experience had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.256, t = 7.491, and p = 0.000. Service quality also had a positive and significant effect, with a regression coefficient of 0.146, t = 4.311, and p = 0.000. The Adjusted R² value of 0.474 indicated that customer experience and service quality explained 47.4% of the variation in customer satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of improving customer-oriented services, reliability, responsiveness, professionalism, and accuracy to maintain sustainable customer satisfaction.

This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 230 MSME selected purposive sampling techniques. Data was analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results show that digital transformation and Innovation capabilities have a positive and significant effect on the strategic adaptation and competitiveness of MSMEs. In addition, strategic adaptation has a positive and significant effect on the competitiveness of MSMEs. Indirect effect test showed that strategic adaptation significantly mediated the relationship between digital transformation and the competitiveness of MSMEs and mediated the relationship between innovation capabilities and the competitiveness of MSMEs. The findings of the study confirm that increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs is not enough only through the adoption of digital technology and innovation development, but also requires the ability to adapt strategies, business models, marketing, operations, and human resource competencies to changes in the business environment. This study provides an implication that strengthening digital capabilities and innovation needs to be integrated with strategic adaptability so that MSMEs are able to build and maintain competitive advantages in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The development of digitalization and increasingly competitive labor markets require companies to attract qualified job applicants. In this context, Employer Branding and E-Recruitment are important factors that can shape applicants’ perceptions and increase their Intention to Apply. This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of Employer Branding and E-Recruitment on Intention to Apply, their effects on Corporate Reputation, and the role of Corporate Reputation as a mediating variable. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and survey method. The population consisted of Generation Z in Indonesia who were final-year university students or fresh graduates within a maximum of one year and were actively seeking or planning to seek employment. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, while data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that Employer Branding has a positive and significant effect on Intention to Apply (β = 0.196; p = 0.016) and Corporate Reputation (β = 0.369; p = 0.000). E-Recruitment also has a positive and significant effect on Intention to Apply (β = 0.314; p = 0.002) and Corporate Reputation (β = 0.471; p = 0.000). However, Corporate Reputation does not have a significant effect on Intention to Apply (p = 0.089) and does not mediate the effects of Employer Branding or E-Recruitment on Intention to Apply. Therefore, Employer Branding and E-Recruitment are direct determinants of Intention to Apply, while Corporate Reputation functions more as an outcome rather than a mediating variable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze implementation of the indemnity and contribution principles in handling duplicate klaim within Islamic health insurance in Medan, based on the DSN-MUI Fatwas No. 21/DSN-MUI/X/2001 and No. 53/DSN-MUI/III/2006. Utilizing a descriptive socio legal research method, document analyst and in depth interviews with management and claim analysts across three entities companies implementing a contribution mechanism. The results reveal a significant gap between the normative ideals of the fatwas and the operational realities on the ground. Although Company strictly implements an payment system and Company tightens preventive verification through notarized statements alongside amicable settlement schemes (shulhu), the principle of indemnity is not fouy upheld isn compromised in specific product lines. Policy loopholes in the hospital cash plan products at Company are frequently exploited by certain participants to obtain finamcial benefits excerding their actual medical expenses qiurngrise to elements of sepecullation (maisir). This lack of information transparency creates opportunities for illicit double claims using duplicate documents. This study concludes that genuine shariah compliance requires adaptive product design reforms and interconnected data systems to restore the true essence of Islamic insurance as mutual assistance (ta'awun).

Abstract

Indonesian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face digital disruption, volatile markets, and resource constraints that make innovation dependent on more than the possession of entrepreneurial or technological resources. This study qualitatively reviews how entrepreneurial capabilities, absorptive capacity, and innovative behavior are connected in SME research, with particular emphasis on Indonesia. A structured corpus of 27 peer-reviewed studies was coded by publication period, context, method, and focal construct. IBM SPSS Statistics was used only to summarize the coded corpus through descriptive frequencies and cross-tabulations, while the substantive analysis relied on qualitative thematic synthesis. The evidence converges on a three-stage process: entrepreneurial alertness/orientation, network capability, and digital capability expand opportunity sensing and access to external knowledge; absorptive capacity converts knowledge through acquisition, assimilation, transformation, and exploitation; and innovative behavior enacts converted knowledge through idea exploration, generation, championing, and implementation. Indonesian studies support the complementarity of absorptive, network, and digital capabilities, but inconsistent direct relationships indicate strong contextual dependence. The review proposes a sensing-absorption-enactment framework and distinguishes owner-manager innovative behavior from firm-level innovation capability. SME policy should therefore strengthen knowledge-conversion routines alongside digital and networking support.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing of cattle farming in Manis Village, Asahan Regency, using SWOT analysis within an Islamic economic framework. A descriptive method with a qualitative approach was employed. Purposive sampling was used for data collection, while data analysis was conducted using IFAS, EFAS, and SWOT matrices to identify internal and external factors affecting cattle marketing. The results indicate that the internal marketing conditions yielded an IFAS score of 2.256, while external conditions yielded an EFAS score of 2.296. Key strengths of the business include product quality that meets market needs, pricing commensurate with quality, a clean farming environment, and the use of social media for promotion. Identified weaknesses include limited livestock inventory, inadequate farming facilities, suboptimal promotion, and limited technological capabilities. Opportunities to be leveraged arise from increasing market demand and the growth of digital media, whereas threats include price competition, the risk of livestock disease, and distribution obstacles. Based on the SWOT analysis, recommended marketing strategies include enhancing digital promotion, expanding marketing networks, maintaining product quality, and improving farmers' technological capabilities—all while upholding Islamic economic principles such as honesty, fairness, trustworthiness, and responsibility. The study suggests that farmers strengthen digital-based marketing and seek government support through training, mentoring, and improved market access to enhance their business competitiveness.
