Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of qiyas in responding to legal and ethical challenges arising from technological advancements. The method used is a reference study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data type used is secondary data, obtained through a literature review of books, scholarly journals, and classical and contemporary Islamic legal documents discussing the concept of qiyas. Content analysis techniques are applied to identify key themes related to the application of qiyas in modern Islamic law.The findings show that qiyas has the potential to be a flexible method for addressing contemporary legal issues not specifically regulated in the Qur'an and Sunnah, such as bioethics and personal data protection. The application of qiyas in this context requires a deep understanding of relevant legal analogies and integration with other principles, such as maslahah (public interest) and istihsan (legal preference), to produce adaptive decisions.The study also finds that, while qiyas can be applied to some cases involving modern technology, there are limitations in interpreting the law on certain issues that require a renewal of approach. Therefore, it is recommended to adopt a more combinatory Islamic legal approach to maintain legal relevance in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and work discipline on employee job satisfaction at the Regional Education Office of North Sulawesi Province. The research employed a quantitative approach, utilizing primary data collected through questionnaires. The findings indicate that the work environment has a significant partial effect on employee job satisfaction. Additionally, work discipline also significantly influences job satisfaction. Simultaneously, the work environment and work discipline collectively have a significant impact on employee job satisfaction at the office. These findings highlight that fostering a conducive work environment and enforcing effective work discipline can enhance employee satisfaction. This research provides valuable insights into human resource management, particularly in creating a positive workplace atmosphere and improving employee discipline levels to achieve optimal job satisfaction

Abstract

Photojournalism with social and environmental issues (Sosial dan Lingkungan) used by photographers as a tool to convey stories and messages about the social life of the community and river pollution. One example is the indiscriminate dumping of garbage into the river in the Jati Bunder area, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, which depicts the reality of the condition of residential areas surrounded by garbage. Based on this background, Garry Andrew Lotulung documented the description and situation and environmental conditions in the area. The purpose of  this  study  is  to  determine the semiotic meaning  of  the photojournalism of the river "A Million Trash". This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained from documentation and non-participant observation. In this study, the photographs studied used Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method, which emphasizes the meaning of signs in works of art (photography) through three stages, namely: denotation, connotation (Trick Effect, Pose, Object, Photogenia, Aesthetic, Syntax), and myth. These stages are interpreted or given meaning by researchers according to their background and abilities. The results of this study indicate that these photographs depict the condition of a river filled with garbage. The denotative meaning shows the condition of the river environment that is scattered without engineering, while the connotative meaning describes the condition of the residents' settlements that reflect  poverty  and  a  lack  of  awareness  and  attention  to  environmental cleanliness. From the analysis of the meaning of myth, the dirty and garbage- filled environmental conditions are the result of human actions themselves. This study found that the photographs effectively convey a strong message about pollution. The significance of this study lies in increasing public awareness of the impact of pollution on quality of life. The suggestions produced include the need for environmental education programs to increase awareness and preventive measures against pollution.

Abstract

The phrase "Alhamdulillah," meaning "Praise be to Allah," holds significant meaning in Islam as an expression of gratitude for blessings and acceptance of divine will. This research explores how the frequent use of this phrase plays a role in fostering harmonious relationships in Muslim marriages. Using a qualitative approach, the study examines how couples incorporate the expression of gratitude into their daily interactions and the impact it has on their relationship dynamics. The findings suggest that regular utterance of "Alhamdulillah" strengthens emotional bonds, promotes positive communication, and enhances mutual understanding, all of which contribute to a peaceful and harmonious marital life. This paper highlights the importance of this spiritual practice as a tool for building lasting harmony in Muslim households.

Abstract

Love is a fundamental need in a couple's relationship that not only affects the quality of marital life but also the psychological well-being of individuals. This study aims to understand how couples perceive and fulfill the need for love in their relationship, as well as its impact on marital harmony, from a psychological perspective. Using a qualitative method, in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 couples who have been married for more than three years. The results show that couples who understand and meet each other's love needs have better communication, more harmonious relationships, and greater resilience to conflicts. Furthermore, the study identifies the importance of emotional communication and empathy in maintaining relationship stability. These findings provide insight into how fulfilling the need for love can strengthen long-term relationships.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a crucial driver of economic growth, especially in developing countries, playing a significant role in empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This article explores how MSMEs’ adoption of digital technology accelerates economic inclusion, enhances competitiveness, and fosters sustainable growth. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study identifies key factors influencing successful digital transformation, including access to technology, digital literacy, and policy support. The analysis reveals that MSMEs adopting digital transformation experience increased productivity, expanded market reach, and greater access to financial resources. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and digital skill gaps remain significant barriers. This study provides strategic insights for policymakers and industry players to optimize the benefits of digital transformation in the MSME sector as a primary driver of inclusion and economic growth

Abstract

Marriage determines the status of a child, so a child will depend on the marriage between his mother and father. A child who is born into the world will automatically get a man as his father and a woman as his mother, both biologically and legally. The consequences of the divorce have an impact on the child, especially when the child is still in the care of his parents. The problem is how to raise a child if both parent divorce due to a legal or illegal marriage. The research method used is the descriptive-normative method, by explaining, describing, analyzing problems regarding the upbringing of children from divorced parents. The results of the study explain that the consequences of divorce have an impact on children, especially when the child is still in the care of his parents. Islamic law has explained the solution if there is a divorce between the two parents, namely that the child gets his rights such as the right to receive a living and the right to receive inheritance and other custody rights as befits a person who has human rights that must be fulfilled. The applicable law actually provides provisions regarding the upbringing of children due to the divorce of both parents, but Islamic law provides a detailed explanation both regulated in the Qur'an, the Hadith and fiqh. Divorce is meant either because of a legitimate marriage or because of an illegitimate marriage.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental right of every citizen, yet not all segments of society have equal access to formal education. This is where the Community Learning Center (PKBM - Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat) emerges as a grassroots solution, bridging the educational gap in Sukabumi Regency. PKBM was born from the spirit of community cooperation, by the community, and for the community. This institution not only focuses on literacy eradication but also serves as a platform for skill development and equivalency programs that adapt to local needs. The uniqueness of PKBM lies in its flexibility in reaching those who are 'marginalized' from the conventional education system. To understand the dynamics and effectiveness of PKBM in Sukabumi Regency, an in-depth study was conducted using a qualitative approach. The research methodology combines various data collection techniques, including direct field observations, in-depth interviews with stakeholders, and comprehensive documentation of learning activities. The Sukabumi Regency Government recognizes PKBM's potential as a catalyst for social change. Through a comprehensive approach oriented towards community empowerment, the local government strives to optimize PKBM's role as a strategic partner in educational development. This initiative reflects the local government's commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable educational foundation, with the hope of creating positive transformation in the educational landscape of the Sukabumi region

Abstract

Non-Muslim leadership in Muslim-majority societies is a complex and dynamic topic, involving debates between classical and modern scholarly perspectives. The main issue addressed in this study is the differing views on the permissibility of non-Muslims holding leadership positions in Muslim societies and the relevance of leadership criteria in Islam. This study aims to explore the views of classical and modern scholars regarding non-Muslim leadership and to analyze the leadership criteria outlined in Islamic literature. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with a library research approach. Data were gathered from various literary sources, including books, journals, and academic articles, and were analyzed in depth.The findings show that classical scholars generally reject non-Muslim leadership based on explicit prohibitions in religious texts. In contrast, modern scholars provide a contextual interpretation, stating that such prohibitions apply only in times of conflict or hostility. In peaceful and democratic contexts, non-Muslim leadership is considered acceptable. Additionally, this study highlights Islamic leadership criteria, which include faith, piety, physical and spiritual health, honesty, competence, justice, professionalism, responsibility, and trustworthiness.The conclusion of this study is that the debate on non-Muslim leadership requires an inclusive and contextual approach, given the social-political complexities of modern societies. Meanwhile, the criteria for Islamic leadership remain relevant in ensuring that leaders possess the integrity and capability to meet the needs of society justly and effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze hypersexuality as the basis for granting polygamy permits in the decision of the Jember Regency Religious Court No. 1775/Pdt.G/2023/PA Jr. and understand the legal and social implications of the decision in the context of Islamic law in Indonesia. The research method uses a qualitative approach with case studies, collecting data through analysis of verdict documents, interviews with related parties, and literature reviews on polygamy law in Islam and the medical condition of hypersexuality. The results of the study showed that the court recognized hypersexuality as a legitimate medical condition for granting a polygamy permit, taking into account medical evidence and expert testimony and ensuring the conditions of justice for all wives. This decision shows the flexibility of Islamic law in responding to sexual health issues while still paying attention to the principle of justice. The implications of this decision are significant in the practice of Islamic law in Indonesia, could set a precedent for similar cases in the future, and demand strict scrutiny to avoid abuse. Socially, this decision sparked a discussion about the balance between individual needs and justice for all parties in polygamous marriages.
