Abstract

The field of materials and technology has developed rapidly, various types of inventions have been developed and researched to obtain new materials that are suitable for use at low production costs. The potential of bamboo plants is promising where the availability is abundant and sustainable, the utilization of specimens is made with polyester binders reinforced with natural and synthetic fibers. The type of bamboo that will be investigated for the tensile strength and toughness of the specimen with the difference in fiber volume fraction is a reference for the combination of bamboo fiber and fiber-glass where the volume fraction of 25% SB:25% FG, 35% SB:15% FG and 40% SB:10% FG particles at a fixed resin volume is 50%. Of the three variations in the volume fraction, the highest tensile strength in a balanced fiber filler is 40% bamboo fiber: 10% fiber-glass with an average value of 80.907 MPa, with a tensile strain of 2.53 % The lowest tensile strength value is in the volume fraction of 35% bamboo fiber: 15% fiber-glass with an average value of 75.552 MPa, with a tensile strain of 2.09%. For the highest toughness value of the specimen is in the volume fraction of 35% bamboo fiber: 15% fiber-glass, i.e., 0.83 J〖/mm〗^2 With an absorbed energy of 43.73 joules. On the other hand, the lowest toughness value is in the volume fraction of 25% bamboo fiber: 25% fiber-glass with an average value of 0.24 J〖/mm〗^2. With an absorbed energy of 39.94 joules. The observation results showed that the fiber volume was good at a percentage of 40% SB with 15% FG suitable for combination as an alternative tensile material. The toughness value in the volume fraction of 40% SB:10% FG is very low. However, the observation of bamboo fiber fracture results has a strong enough ability for the application of manufacturing products and others.

Abstract

This study aims to digitize ulos, woven, songket and shawl fabrics spread across several districts and cities into a digital museum based on virtual tours and virtual guides. Digitization contains images of fabrics, then the patterns, symbols and motifs contained in each fabric will be explained as a learning of noble values, philosophy and history in each fabric as a cultural heritage based on local wisdom. The noble values, philosophy and historical meaning of the fabric are explained through the Indonesian digital museum platform as a form of love for museums with a cultural approach that contains meaning and significance. The Indonesian digital museum contains woven fabrics, songket, shawls and ulos used by the community, but few of them know the meaning, patterns and motifs contained in them. The focus of this research is a form of love for museums that are now starting to be abandoned. Departing from technological developments, a website-based Indonesian digital museum platform was designed and built that can be visited by the public online with a virtual tour experience and at the same time a guide (virtual guide). The method used in designing and building this Indonesian digital museum is the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method. The research stages begin with system requirements analysis, then interactive museum design and supported by program code implementation so that during testing and verification it is ready for use.

Abstract

This study examines the politicization of aid in the 2024 Legislative Election in Banda Aceh through the lens of patron-client theory, exploring how candidates or political parties use material aid to secure electoral support. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews with voters in Banda Aceh and a review of relevant literature. The findings reveal that material aid often functions as a transactional tool, with voters expected to reciprocate by voting for the candidates providing assistance. This reciprocal expectation significantly influences voter behavior, as many prioritize immediate material benefits over ideological or programmatic considerations. However, not all voters adhere to this transactional dynamic; some evaluate candidates based on their political qualities and programs, regardless of aid. Perceptions of candidates who abstain from providing aid vary—some voters see the absence of aid as a disadvantage, while others value the candidates' vision and integrity over material offerings. The study concludes that while aid politicization impacts electoral outcomes, maintaining voter trust and loyalty depends on candidates' fulfillment of political promises and long-term commitment. Balancing short-term aid strategies with genuine political accountability is essential for sustaining trust and upholding the integrity of the political system.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between the real-life Burning Sun scandal and its fictionalized portrayal in the Korean drama “Taxi Driver 2”, specifically focusing on the episode titled "Black Sun." Using the mimetic approach, the research investigates how the drama mirrors real societal issues, including violence, police collusion, celebrity involvement, sexual harassment, and drug use. The Burning Sun scandal, which involved a nightclub in Gangnam, South Korea, became notorious for its links to organized crime, drugs, sexual abuse, and the corruption of law enforcement. The study analyzes key scenes from “Taxi Driver 2”, drawing comparisons between the drama's depiction of the events and the actual incidents that occurred, such as drug use, police inaction, and violent assaults. By examining the dialogue and plot structure in the drama, the research highlights how “Taxi Driver 2” critiques the dark realities of the entertainment industry, particularly the exploitation and abuse within the nightlife scene. Additionally, the study explores the role of K-pop idols in the scandal, which is reflected in the characters portrayed in the drama. This research contributes to the understanding of how real-life events are translated into visual narratives, offering insights into the power of media in shaping public perception and raising awareness about social issues. The findings indicate that “Taxi Driver 2” successfully employs a mimetic approach to replicate key elements of the Burning Sun case, thereby providing a lens through which viewers can critically engage with the ongoing social problems illustrated by the scandal. This research fills a gap in the existing literature by bridging the connection between media representations and real-life societal phenomena, offering a novel perspective on the role of Korean dramas in reflecting social realities.

Abstract

Global warming has become a major challenge faced by all countries, including Indonesia. Deforestation is one of the causes that exacerbates global warming. Ujung Kulon National Park (TNUK) plays an important role in nature conservation and ecotourism, making sustainable ecosystem management in the TNUK area. This research aims to explore the application of green and blue economies in ecotourism management in TNUK and assess their impact on the welfare of the local community. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through document studies from various relevant sources. The research results show that although TNUK has been successful in conservation, such as the increase in the Javan rhinoceros population, the potential of ecotourism has not been optimized in boosting the local economy. This is due to the limited infrastructure and public facilities in the areas surrounding TNUK. As a result, despite TNUK's significant tourist appeal, its contribution to poverty and unemployment reduction remains limited. This research recommends improving infrastructure and fostering cooperation between the government and the community to optimize the benefits of ecotourism.
