Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of religious moderation as an effort to foster students' tolerance at SMK Negeri 3 Panyabungan. The background of this research is based on Indonesia's high level of religious diversity, which has the potential to trigger conflict if not accompanied by mutual respect, thus requiring an educational approach that instills tolerance values from an early age. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that religious moderation in the school environment is implemented through classroom learning, teachers' role modeling, inclusive school policies, extracurricular activities, and social interactions among students that emphasize fairness, respect for differences, and togetherness. This implementation has proven effective in fostering students' tolerance, as reflected in the freedom to practice worship, cooperation across religious backgrounds, and the creation of harmonious social relationships. Therefore, religious moderation can be regarded as an effective character education strategy in building students' tolerance and creating a peaceful, inclusive, and diversity-respecting educational environment

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of prophetic leadership on: 1) the work ethic of PAI teachers, 2) the formation of students' Islamic character, and 3) both simultaneously in Integrated Islamic Schools (SIT) in Mataram City. The research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The sample consisted of 80 respondents, including principals, PAI teachers, and students. The instrument was a questionnaire based on indicators of prophetic leadership (sidiq, amanah, tabligh, fathanah), work ethic, and Islamic character. Data were collected through surveys, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using multivariate regression tests. The results showed: (1) there is a significant influence of prophetic leadership on PAI teachers' work ethic (significance 0.001); (2) there is a significant influence on the formation of students' Islamic character (0.011); and (3) there is a significant simultaneous influence on both variables. The implication is that prophetic leadership, based on prophetic role modeling, plays a strategic role in improving teacher professionalism and strengthening students' Islamic character, making it worthy as a strategic leadership model in Islamic educational institutions

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effect of the Al-Qur'an tahfizh program on the character formation of students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Aziziyah Kapek. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving experimental and control groups. The sample consisted of 30 students (15 experimental, 15 control). A questionnaire was administered as the instrument during the pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using the Independent Samples t-test after normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed a significance value of 0.006 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of the tahfizh program on student character. The experimental group demonstrated higher character improvement compared to the control group. Systematic and sustained Qur'an memorization activities internalize spiritual and moral values such as discipline, responsibility, patience, and honesty. The implication is that the tahfizh program can serve as an effective strategy for character education in Islamic boarding schools. Optimizing the program through strengthening learning methods, continuous mentoring, and educator role modeling is essential to foster a generation with noble character and Islamic personality

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic religious teachers in instilling character education based on religious values and Sasak culture in sixth-grade students at SDN 5 Ampenan, Mataram City. Character education is a fundamental pillar in shaping students' personalities, and religious teachers occupy a strategic position in this process, especially within the context of the Sasak community, which is rich in Islamic values and local wisdom. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research subjects included the principal, the Islamic Education (PAI) teacher, and sixth-grade students. Findings reveal that religious teachers serve as: (1) educators and instructors of Islamic values; (2) moral role models grounded in Sasak culture; (3) motivators in the internalization of values such as tata krama (etiquette), titi (prudence), and tatas tuhu trasna (honesty, loyalty, and compassion); and (4) facilitators of religious and local cultural activities. Supporting factors include principal support, an Islamic school environment, and preserved local wisdom. Inhibiting factors include social media influence and a lack of Sasak culture-based learning resources. This study recommends the systematic integration of Sasak cultural values into the Islamic religious education curriculum at the primary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how responsible artificial intelligence (AI) literacy programs contribute to strengthening students' mental health. Using a qualitative research method with a case study approach at the Muthahhari Foundation, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation with students from various grade levels, starting from the early years of elementary school. The findings indicate that students are introduced from an early age to the smart use of mobile devices, basic coding, and the creative and productive utilization of AI-based applications. In parallel, the school also implements mental health reinforcement activities such as yoga, regular sports, outdoor learning, and "fun student hours" that support emotional balance and social interaction. The synergy between responsible AI literacy and mental health programs forms a holistic educational approach that prepares students to be not only technologically competent but also mentally resilient in facing the challenges of the digital era. This study recommends the development of an integrated AI literacy curriculum as well as continuous teacher training

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic economics in promoting the implementation of green economy in Indonesia. Using a library research method with a qualitative approach, this study analyzes various literatures, policy documents, and official reports related to Islamic economics and environmental sustainability. The findings indicate that Islamic economics plays a significant role through three main pathways: (1) theological foundations consisting of principles such as khalifah (stewardship), amanah (trusteeship), mizan (balance), and maqasid al-shariah which provide an ethical basis for environmentally friendly activities; (2) Islamic financial instruments such as green financing from Islamic banking, green sukuk, and the allocation of ZISWAF (zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf) funds for environmental programs; and (3) supporting policies such as the OJK Regulation on Sustainable Finance, the Master Plan of Islamic Economy, and regional regulations in various provinces. However, its implementation still faces challenges including low literacy levels, the absence of a uniform green shariah certification standard, limited economic incentives, and a consumptive culture among the public. This study recommends strengthening regulations and standardization, enhancing human resource capacity, developing green products and incentives, as well as fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration to realize a sustainable green shariah economy in Indonesia

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine (1) the effect of financial literacy and (2) the effect of trust on the interest of the millennial generation in using sharia insurance. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the community that belongs to the millennial generation who use sharia insurance. Sampling was conducted using a non probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. This study uses primary data sources with data collection through online questionnaires/Google forms. Data analysis in this study uses Smart PLS 3.2.9. The data analysis methods used in this study include validity tests, reliability tests, coefficient of determination (R2), hypothesis testing, and path analysis. The results of the study indicate that financial literacy does not have a significant effect on the interest of millennials in using sharia insurance, while trust has a significant effect on the interest of millennials in using sharia insurance. Financial literacy and trust can explain the interest in using sharia insurance by 35.9%, while the remaining 64.1% is explained by other variables that were not studied. It is hoped that future research will include more independent variables, so that the influence of other variables on the interest in using Islamic insurance among millennials can be determined.

Abstract

This study examines K.H. Yasin Asmuni's interpretation of the concept of calamity (muṣībah) in QS. An-Nisā’ verse 79 through his work Tafsir Mā Aṣābaka. Employing a qualitative library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, this research aims to explore the theological and ethical constructs within this local pesantren exegesis. The findings reveal that K.H. Yasin Asmuni interprets ḥasanah (goodness) as God’s grace and bounty, while sayyi’ah (evil or calamity) is understood as a consequence of human actions, sins, or negligence. This interpretation integrates the perspectives of Ahlus Sunnah and Mu’tazilah, emphasizing both divine will and moral responsibility. The work heavily references ar-Rāzī’s Mafātīḥ al-Ghayb and is presented in Arabic with Pegon script (Javanese written in Arabic characters), reflecting the acculturation of Islam with local Nusantara culture. The main contribution of Tafsir Mā Aṣābaka to the treasury of Indonesian exegesis lies in its reinforcement of a balanced theological understanding between God’s decree and human agency as well as its relevance as spiritual education and mental reinforcement for communities frequently facing disasters.

Abstract

The integration of the Turos Curriculum and the National Curriculum at Ma’had Aly Nurul Jadid represents a strategic effort to address the demands of contemporary Islamic education, which emphasizes a balance between mastery of classical Islamic knowledge and modern academic competencies. This study aims to analyze the process and outcomes of integrating these two curricula in shaping students’ character based on the values of Trilogi Santri and Panca Kesadaran Santri. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving administrators, lecturers, and students as research subjects. The findings indicate that curriculum integration is implemented through the synchronization of Islamic and general subjects, habituation of religious practices, and the strengthening of students’ social and organizational activities. The novelty of this study lies in positioning Trilogi Santri and Panca Kesadaran Santri not only as moral values but also as epistemological and pedagogical foundations. Thus, curriculum integration is understood as a process of value internalization and character formation, producing students who are religious, possess strong integrity, demonstrate intellectual competence, and are adaptive to social dynamics and contemporary developments

Abstract

Risk management is an important aspect in maintaining the sustainability of Islamic financial institutions, particularly in muḍarabah financing, which is characterized by profit-sharing but also involves risks of loss and uncertainty. This study aims to analyze the risk mitigation strategies implemented by USPPS BMT An-Nawawi Berjan Purworejo in managing muḍarabah financing. The research method employs a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, utilizing documentation, interviews with managers, marketing staff, and employees, as well as references from reliable sources. Data analysis techniques include reduction, display, and verification, while data validity is examined through triangulation. The findings indicate that risk mitigation strategies are effective, as evidenced by the annual decline in non-performing financing (NPF). The main strategy applied is reconditioning in risk management. Internal obstacles include employees’ lack of focus in analyzing prospective customers, while external obstacles arise from muḍarib customers who demonstrate poor intentions in fulfilling their obligations. Overall, the implementation of risk mitigation strategies at USPPS BMT An-Nawawi Berjan can be considered successful, as it minimizes problematic financing and supports the sustainability of muḍarabah products
