Abstract

The goal of this research was to determine how competence functions as a mediator between performance, training, and motivation. This study performed a multivariate analysis with a descriptive and explanatory quantitative strategy. The research sample consisted of 80 respondents selected by employing a proportional sampling technique. Data were collected through an instrument questionnaire and analyzed using the partial least squares (PLS) approach of structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that: Motivation and training both have a substantial impact on performance; Motivation and training both have a substantial impact on performance; Competence has a significant role in performance as a mediator variable, competence has a considerable ability to mediate the influence of motivation and training on performance. The results of the calculation of the square value of multiple correlations (R2) of 0.274 and 0.572 respectively show the strength of the competence dependent variable and employee performance.

Abstract

Merang mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) grows in rice tangaki (merang) after harvesting (crab). This research aims to find alternative growing media using cotton fiber (industrial waste), in an effort to solve the sustainability of the mushroom business due to the increasingly limited availability of merang.  The research was carried out with community groups who are used to trying to grow mushrooms, trying to spread seeds on cotton fibers that have been fermented with yeast bacteria using livestock manure, lime and bran. Through bio-engineering, cotton fiber waste, which was originally a waste material in the furniture industry and yarn spinning, can be used as a medium for growing merang mushrooms. Merang mushroom business actors are able to apply bio-technology engineering appropriately so as to produce merang mushrooms with excellent quality. The results of the economic analysis show that: The average production obtained was 227.21 kg with a revenue of Rp.4,771,500, after deducting production costs of Rp.2,858,928, so the income of merang mushroom farming was obtained of Rp.1,912,571, with an R/C of 1.65. This means that for each victim one unit of cost (Rp.1.00) in the process of merang mushroom farming will be obtained 1.65 units (Rp.1.65).

Abstract

One of the most crucial aspects of Islam's overall teachings is da'wah. Through da'wah, people can learn about, live out, and apply the principles of Islam from generation to generation. In the modern era of information globalization and the inevitable progress of technology, da'wah is essentially an endeavor to cultivate a predisposition and interest in calling someone to the teachings of Islam. Nothing can be hidden; everything is available, even things that are banned. If the missionaries don't quickly adjust to these developments, they will become obsolete. It's necessary for missionaries to be adept in social media. Islam is no longer the domain of clerics in this millennium. People can learn Islam in a variety of methods and places at any time. Modernization is a necessary step on the journey through space and time that all people must take. A shift in the dai's method of preaching ought to counterbalance this amazing shift in society. Da'wah shouldn't be conducted in a certain location or with just traditional means (lectures). Da'wah needs to be innovative, forward-thinking, and energetic. Da'wah and Islamic communication are two examples of the many patterns of scientific progress that have arisen from the world's rapid flow of knowledge and technology.
