Abstract

Interaksi sosial antara muslim dan non-muslim diperbolehkan selama tidak menyangkut urusan ibadah atau tauhid, dengan berlandaskan nilai-nilai luhur dari Al-Qur’an dan Hadis. Sikap saling menghormati dan menghargai menjadi inti dalam menjalin hubungan kemasyarakatan, yang diwujudkan melalui saling mengenal, membangun budaya kompromi, berbuat baik, berperilaku adil, serta membantu satu sama lain demi tercapainya kemaslahatan bersama. Prinsip-prinsip ini mencerminkan ajaran Islam yang mengedepankan keharmonisan dan kedamaian dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.

Abstract

Education is an important aspect of life that plays a major role in producing a quality generation. One important part of Islamic education is teaching the Qur'an from an early age. The Tahfizh Weekend Program at SMP IT Wahdah Islamiyah Gowa is an effort to improve students' memorization of the Qur'an through an intensive approach involving memorization learning, daily worship, and social activities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the program using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model, focusing on context analysis, input components, process implementation, and the results obtained. The research method used is a descriptive approach with in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The results of the study showed that this program succeeded in improving students' memorization of the Qur'an, with 78% of students experiencing an increase in the number of memorizations. This program also has a positive impact on the formation of students' religious character, increasing discipline in worship, and strengthening social relationships between students. However, several obstacles such as limited facilities and environmental disturbances need to be considered. Parental support is also an important factor in the success of this program. This study suggests improvements in terms of facilities and time management to increase the effectiveness of the program in the future. The output of this study is expected to provide strategic recommendations for the development of similar programs in other schools.

Abstract

This article discusses the socio-cultural and economic transformation of Arab society from the era of Jahiliyyah to Islamic civilization under the leadership of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Before Islam, Arab society lived in a state of social disorder, characterized by a strong tribal structure, injustice, and idol worship practices. The arrival of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought fundamental changes through the teachings of monotheism, equality, and social justice. The migration to Medina marked the beginning of a more structured Islamic society, with the Charter of Medina serving as the first constitution that regulated inter-tribal relations and ensured harmony among different religious communities. This study employs the library research method. The findings reveal that Islamic teachings successfully transformed the social order of Arab society into one that is more just, harmonious, and civilized, significantly contributing to the development of world civilization.

Abstract

Al-Farabi, a great philosopher who lived in the 10th century, is known as the "Second Teacher" after Aristotle, and has a great influence on the development of Islamic philosophical thought. In his biography, Al-Farabi was born in the Farab region (now Kazakhstan) and received his education in various large cities such as Baghdad and Damascus. His thoughts cover various fields, including metaphysics, ethics, politics, and psychology. One of his main ideas is the concept of emanation (al-fawdah), where the world emerged from the all-perfect God, through a continuous process. Al-Farabi also developed a theory of the soul (al-nafs), where the human soul has various levels and can achieve happiness through achieving moral and intellectual perfection. In the field of prophecy, he stated that the prophet is a figure who has an extraordinary ability to receive revelation and provide guidance to humanity, thus enabling the achievement of a good life. His political theory, known as "al-madinah al-fadhilah" or the perfect city, emphasized the importance of a wise and just government, which could lead society towards a harmonious and virtuous life. Al-Farabi's thoughts made significant contributions to the Islamic philosophical tradition and have influenced subsequent schools of thought, both in the Islamic world and the West.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect literacy rates in Indonesia using a robust regression approach. The data used included data from 34 provinces, focusing on the dependent variables, namely the literacy rate and the independent variables, namely the average length of schooling, the number of teachers, out-of-school children, PDRB per capita, and the number of poor people. The results of the analysis show the equation Y ?=97.7766-0.41220PCA1-0.2886PCA2-0.000002x_4. where PCA1 = a combination of X1 and X2 and PCA2 = a combination of X2 and X5. Every 1 unit increase in PCA1 will reduce the literacy rate by about 0.4120 or 41.2%, an increase of 1 unit of PCA2 will reduce the literacy rate by about 0.2886 or 28.86%, while in x_4 it only affects about 0.00022%. The number of children who do not attend school, children who drop out of school and the number of poor people can significantly increase the illiteracy rate. Efforts that can be made by the government are to facilitate education so that all groups can access education and educate the public that education is very important and will be the foundation of the nation and state in the future..

Abstract

The subjective well-being of scavengers is often influenced by constrained economic and social circumstances; nonetheless, they may experience contentment in everyday life due to social support and resilience. This research employs a qualitative methodology using a case study technique to investigate the subjective wellbeing of a scavenger with over 25 years of experience at Kp. Tenggilis Mustika Jaya, via comprehensive interviews and direct observation. The study's findings indicate that despite economic hardships and adverse living situations, scavengers may sustain a positive subjective well-being, bolstered by cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions that enhance their life satisfaction. This welfare is reinforced by positive attitudes, flexibility, and social support from the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi dan kinerja dosen di universitas borneo tarakan, dengan pengembangan karir sebagai variabel moderator. Dengan pengumpulan data dan analisis yang baik penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana motivasi mempengaruhi kinerja dosen. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana pengembangan karir dosen memoderasi hubungan antara motivasi dan kinerja mereka. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang dinamika hubungan antara faktor-faktor tersebut di lingkungan universitas, dengan potensi memberikan wawasan yang lebih baik bagi atasan pembuat kebijakan dalam meningkatkan kinerja dosen di universitas borneo tarakan. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti terkait denagan fenomena ini. riset dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dimana variabel diukur dan dianalisis berdasarkan prosedur statistik. Variabel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari: Motivasi, Pengembangan Karir, dan Kinerja Pegawai. Output wajib kegiatan riset ini adalah artikel ilmiah nasional yang terakreditasi dan sarana prasarana penunjuang kegiatan pembelajaran pada Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Borneo Tarakan

Abstract

Productive language skills, which include speaking and writing, are vital components of communication literacy. This study aims to explore the role of productive language skills as a key pillar in the context of communication in general. Through descriptive qualitative methods with literature review, this research finds that speaking skills enable individuals to express ideas and feelings clearly, as well as enhance confidence in social interactions. Meanwhile, writing skills contribute to the organization of thoughts and systematic information delivery, which is crucial in the professional world. This study is expected to provide deeper insights into the importance of productive language skills in enhancing communication effectiveness across various aspects of life.

Abstract

The birth of hadith is directly related to the personality of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, as the source of hadith, where he had indeed guided his people for approximately 23 years, and that period was the period of revelation (the Qur'an), along with that the hadith also came out. The birth of hadith during the time of the Prophet was an interaction of the Prophet as Mubayyin (giver of an explanation) regarding the verses of the Qur'an to his friends or to other people, in order to convey the message, and also because of various life problems that were being faced by the people and were in great need of solutions or solutions from the Prophet SAW, then his friends understood and memorized what they had received from the Prophet SAW. The results of this study show that First, the reasons for the prohibition of writing hadith were not due to the ignorance of Muslims in writing activities at that time, in fact they had known writing since the beginning of Islam, even before Islam. Second, the dominant factor in the prohibition of writing hadith was the fear of mixing the Qur'an and asSunnah. In addition, so that the project of writing the Qur'an is not disturbed by the writing of the hadith. Third, there is no contradiction between the hadiths about the prohibition and the permission of writing hadith, because the hadiths about the prohibition appeared first and when the reasons for the prohibition disappeared, the hadith about the permission of writing appeared. Fourth, the activity of writing hadith in the time of the Prophet Muhammad had existed as evidenced by the existence of hadith records in some of the companions known as 'as-Sahifah', but this activity was only individual and on a small scale, while the activity of writing and collecting hadith on a large scale began during the time of the caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz.

Abstract

Metalinguistic awareness plays a crucial role in language acquisition, particularly in academic contexts where precise language use is essential. This study investigates the metalinguistic awareness of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students, focusing on word-specific orthographic awareness. The research explores the current state of students' awareness and identifies factors influencing their ability to recognize and correct orthographic errors in academic writing. Employing a think-aloud protocol and interviews, the study examines students' cognitive processes while engaging in word-specific orthographic tasks. Findings indicate that students demonstrate varying levels of awareness, categorized into intuition, noticing, meta-awareness, and understanding of underlying rules. Key factors influencing their awareness include linguistic background, exposure to English, and academic experience.
