Abstract

The culinary industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth with the emergence of many new restaurants and cafes, making competition in this sector increasingly tight. Sirkey Cafe and Resto is one of the players in the culinary industry that tries to attract consumers with different concepts and services. This study aims to analyze the competitive system faced by Sirkey Cafe and Resto through an industry analysis approach, competitor identification, and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis. The results of the analysis show that Sirkey Cafe and Resto has advantages in terms of unique concepts and service quality, but faces challenges in price and location competition that can affect its competitiveness. Competition comes from local restaurants, premium cafes, to fast food restaurants, each of which offers advantages in terms of price, menu variety, and convenience. Opportunities that can be utilized by Sirkey are the trend of healthy food and the development of delivery services through digital platforms. However, threats such as rising raw material prices and increasingly tight competition need to be faced with a strong differentiation strategy. This study provides insight for Sirkey Cafe and Resto managers to optimize internal strengths, minimize weaknesses, and utilize existing opportunities to maintain competitiveness in the culinary market.

Abstract

Social media has become an inseparable part of Gen Z's daily life. However, despite its benefits, exposure to negative content on social media can adversely affect mental health. This study aims to analyze the extent to which exposure to negative content influences Gen Z's mental health. The research employs a quantitative approach by surveying 300 respondents aged 18–25 in Indonesia. The findings reveal a significant correlation between exposure to negative content, such as cyberbullying, fake news, and body shaming, and higher levels of anxiety, depression, and stress. This article provides insights for policymakers and society to create a healthier social media ecosystem, emphasizing the importance of digital literacy, content moderation, and stricter regulations to mitigate harmful content exposure.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of PowerPoint visual communication media in delivering learning in the Islamic Counseling Education Program during the third semester. With the increasing need for engaging and interactive teaching methods, PowerPoint was chosen as a tool to enhance student understanding and participation. The research method employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with lecturers and students, as well as analysis of the learning materials presented using PowerPoint. The research sample consisted of third-semester students and the lecturers teaching the courses. The results indicate that the use of PowerPoint significantly increasees students' interest and motivation to learn. The attractive visual features and structured information delivery help students comprehend the concepts being taught. Additionally, the interactions that occur during PowerPoint presentations contribute to enhancing student engagement in the learning process. However, the study also found that the effectiveness of PowerPoint is highly dependent on the lecturer's ability to design and deliver the material. Lecturers who are skilled in using PowerPoint can create a more dynamic and interactive learning environment. Therefore, training for lecturers in the use of digital learning media is highly recommended. In concusion, PowerPoint is an effective visual communication media for delivering learning in the Islamic Counseling Education Program, provided that its use is supported by adequate lecturer competencies. This study offers recommendations for enhancing lecturer training in the use of PowerPoint to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article discusses the effect of digital advertising on consumers' purchasing interests, focusing on Angkringan Sedulur in Pekanbaru. This study shows that informative, attractive, and easily accessible digital advertising can increase consumers' purchasing interest, although its influence is still relatively weak compared to other factors. Through a case study of Shopee and Tokopedia users, it was found that effective digital marketing strategies can increase brand awareness and encourage purchasing. Therefore, Angkringan Sedulur is advised to develop innovative and relevant digital advertising, as well as utilize social media to reach more customers. This study emphasizes the importance of regular evaluation of the effectiveness of digital advertising to increase sales and customer loyalty.

Abstract

This research is titled “The Influence of Host Live Streaming Message Exposure on Product Purchase Decisions (A Quantitative Study on the Influence of Host Live Streaming Messages from Rahsa Nusantara on the Purchase Decisions of Members of the Rumah Tumbuh Bersama Community). This study aims to determine the significance of the influence of persuasive messages from the Rahsa Nusantara live streaming host on purchase decisions. The method used in this research for data analysis is multiple linear regression. The number of respondents in this study is 28 individuals selected through probability sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to members of the Rumah Tumbuh Bersama Community. The results of the study indicate that message exposure, which include message content, message structure, and message format, have a positive influence on purchase decisions. However, the dimensions of the sub-variables of message structure and message format do not significantly affect purchase intention. The largest sub-variable influencing purchase decisions is the message content sub-variable.

Abstract

The editorial titled “Soal IKN, biar Prabowo yang putuskan” from The Jakarta Post discusses the development of the Nusantara capital (IKN), emphasizing that this process should be conducted calmly, with focus and without haste. The study employs Pan and Kosicki's framing analysis to examine the narrative structure of the editorial text, concentrating on syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical elements. The analysis reveals that the editorial frames the national issue of capital city development, highlighting the challenges, conflicts of interest, and the necessity for strategic planning. Full trust is placed in Prabowo Subianto, the elected president for the 2024-2029 period, to continue the IKN development project. The editorial also sharply criticizes the previous president for rushing through the implementation of programs. Arguments are presented with logical reasoning, accompanied by hopes for the future of IKN.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) with the aim of determining the coding classification system for storing dynamic archives, obstacles, and solutions to the dynamic archive storage system. This research design uses descriptive qualitative research and a case study approach to provide a comprehensive picture of the manual archive storage system in the correspondence system. The unit of analysis in this study is employees in the Property and General Division, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) who often store dynamic archives manually which are archived in the archive warehouse. Data collection techniques are carried out using several methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the coding classification system for storing archives manually uses a system based on their respective divisions. For storing the archives, they are archived in the archive warehouse, namely the PGN Mas Warehouse and the BGR Warehouse, which are located very far from the head office, so that in storing the archives manually, there are obstacles, namely the difficulty of finding the archives again when the archives are needed. One solution to overcome these obstacles is by communicating between the archivist and the division that needs the letter and the archivist will make a simple index. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to be suggestions and input regarding the manual archive storage system in the correspondence system for future improvements.

Abstract

The E-Payment one-stop service program is an electronic tax payment designed by the regional revenue agency to make it easier for the public to make land and building tax payments. However, this program faces various challenges, including a lack of public understanding of the existence and mechanism of using the E-Payment program in utilizing devices such as smartphones to access the E-Payment website or application, as well as network constraints that often cause system disruptions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the E-Payment one-stop service program in supporting the PBB collection in Karimun Regency. By using Sutrisno's theory (2010) with indicators of program understanding, target accuracy, timeliness, goal achievement, and real improvement. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that, first, the E-Payment program by regional revenue agencies shows significant progress in modernizing public services, by involving the community and focusing on ease of access.

Abstract

This study analyzes the comparative use of journalistic language in two morning news programs on Indonesian national television: Selamat Pagi Indonesia on TVRI and Berita Pagi on RCTI. The research aims to explore the differences and similarities in the journalistic language employed by both programs, considering factors such as the institutional context and target audiences. By utilizing a literature review approach, this study examines how the two stations adapt their journalistic strategies to meet audience needs. The analysis reveals that while TVRI uses a more formal and educational language style, RCTI opts for a more flexible, dynamic approach. This comparative analysis highlights the role of journalistic language in shaping audience perception and enhancing program credibility.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how Pelangi Bunda Medika Clinic builds a positive corporate image through effective corporate communication strategies. A strong corporate image is very important, especially in the health sector, to increase patient confidence in the services provided. In this context, Pelangi Bunda Medika Clinic uses a planned communication approach through various channels, such as social media, website and customer service, to create a professional, safe and friendly impression in the eyes of the public. Through the implementation of integrated corporate communications, this clinic has succeeded in building an image as a caring, affordable and educational health service provider. This research also identified the obstacles faced, such as difficulties in updating information on digital platforms and competition with other clinics, as well as improvement steps taken by the clinic to increase communication effectiveness. The research results show that effective communication strategies can increase the number of patients and strengthen relationships with the community, as well as expand the dissemination of health service information. Recommendations include increasing digital presence, developing a patient loyalty program, and communications training for staff to increase the consistency of messages delivered. This research concludes that planned and professional corporate communications play an important role in strengthening the image and reputation of the Pelangi Bunda Medika Clinic.
