Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Influence of Multiplication Board Media on Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Grade III Students of SD YPK Elim Sorong City. This type of research uses Quantitative Research with the research design used is a pre-experimental design  with the type One-Group Pretest-posttest. The population is class III A students with a total of 19 students with a sampling technique carried out by nonprobability sampling, namely purporsive sampling. The instruments used are observation sheets and essay tests to measure student learning outcomes, while the results of the analysis of student learning completeness on the average posttest score are 83.84. The reliability test results obtained by Cronbachs Alpha for student responses amounted to 0.852 which means it has a high level of reliability with the normality test of student posttest learning outcomes  having a significance level of 0.028 > 0.05. The hypothesis test  obtained tcount of 7.001 with df = n – 1 (19-1=18) obtained ttable of 1.729. Based on the results of the analysis of value data, namely tcalculate > ttable (-7.001> 1.729), with a magnitude of significance level of 0.05, the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of Multiplication Board Media on the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Grade III Students of SD YPK Elim Malanu in Sorong City.

Abstract

This research is inspired by the lack of students' ability to solve math problems, especially in fraction material. This can be seen from the results of the daily test of fraction material which is still under the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of the inquiry learning model on students' mathematical problem solving ability on fraction material in Class IV of YPK Elim Malanu Elementary School in Sorong City. This research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The data collecting techniques that were used were observation, test, and documentation techniques. The instrument used in this research is a test, which is divided into pre-test and post-test. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the average learning outcomes of mathematics that were taught using the inquiry learning model from 47.78 became 73.77. Furthermore, the results of inferential analysis using SPSS show that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of mathematics that were taught using the inquiry model. The calculation result of sig value = 0.98 is less than a = 0.05 (0.98 < 0.05) which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The Social Sciences Learning Model in Character Formation is a learning approach that allows students both individually and in groups to actively seek, explore and discover concepts and principles holistically and authentically and allows students to uphold morality, truth, goodness, strength and attitudes. someone who is shown to others through actions. This research aims to find out how social studies learning is implemented in developing characteristics in students at SMP 2 Pungging, Mojokerto Regency. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the role of social studies in the formation of student character at SMP 2 Pungging School, Mojokerto district. Data analysis uses Miles & Huberman which consists of Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Display (Data Presentation), Drawing Conclusions. Findings (1) Social studies learning at SMP 2 Pungging, Mojokerto Regency provides opportunities for students to understand and apply social values ​​such as honesty, tolerance, cooperation, responsibility and justice (2) Social studies learning also focuses on students' understanding of their rights and obligations as citizens (3) Social studies learning also involves teaching about cultural, religious and ethnic diversity.

Abstract

Abstract

Literacy is a vital aspect of education to ensure students' abilities in comprehending, interpreting, and interacting with various forms of texts. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of festival activities as a strategy to enhance students' literacy at SD Negeri Grogol Utara 09. A case study method was utilized to analyze the impact of festival activities on literacy skills, with 50 students from grades IV and V participating. Festival activities included film screenings, poetry readings, and dance performances, with data collection conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaires before and after the events. Data analysis revealed a significant improvement in students' reading, writing, and speaking skills after engaging in festival activities. Additionally, students' interest in literacy and creative expression also increased positively. These findings affirm that festival activities can serve as an effective means to expand students' literacy beyond conventional curricula, providing a meaningful contribution to holistic education.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) What is the mathematics learning achievement of class IV MIN 1 Dairi students, (2) What is the teacher's role in the mathematics learning achievement of class IV MIN 1 Dairi students, (3) Why teachers have an important role in students' mathematics learning achievement class IV MIN 1 Dairi. This research uses qualitative research methods in the form of written or oral data from related people. The subjects of this research were the homeroom teachers of class IV C and students of class IV C. In the data collection process this research used three natural methods, namely: observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is carried out by: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results reveal that (1) Learning achievement is the level of humanity possessed by students in accepting, rejecting and assessing information obtained in the teaching and learning process. Learning achievement is a real skill that can be measured by knowledge, attitudes and skills as an active interaction between learning and learning objects during the teaching and learning process to achieve learning outcomes or goals. (2) Teachers must position themselves actively and position themselves as professionals, in accordance with the demands of a developing society and the demands of science and technology that are global. Teachers have the responsibility to bring students to achieve their desired goals. (3) Teachers need to understand the principles of learning because each individual has different conditions. Good student conditions will facilitate the learning process in class. So teachers must arouse readiness, motivate, provide goals, perceptions, understand individual differences, carry out transfers, arouse cognitive and affective skills, arouse students' psychomotor skills, and carry out evaluations to facilitate learning and provide benefits to what has been learned in learning.

Abstract

This research was triggered by the lack of scientific literacy content in textbooks used by students at school. Therefore, research was carried out and preparation of science learning materials focused on scientific literacy. The aim of this research is to describe the validity of junior high school science teaching materials based on scientific literacy on the topic of earth layers and disasters, evaluated through assessments from experts. The research approach applied is research and development (R&D) using a modified four-D (4D) model. In this research, there are three validation phases, namely defining, designing, and developing. Respondents in this research and development consisted of three validators who work as academics. The data collected is quantitative in the form of product validation scores from questionnaires. The study results show that the module validity level reaches 90%, with an average validity value of 3.59, without any revisions. Meanwhile, the validity of the scientific literacy module reached 95%, with an average validity value of 3.71, without revision. Hence, it can be concluded that the developed teaching materials meet validity criteria and are suitable for use in the context of the learning process.

Abstract

Handball sport is a team sport where in one team there are seven players including 6 players and one goalkeeper and has the aim of putting the ball into the opponent's goal as much as possible and is played in two categories of men and women. In the sport of handball, arm muscle explosiveness is needed when shooting and also passing. This study aims to determine the effect of load training using bench press on the explosive power of the arm muscles of handball athletes. This research is a quasi experimental study with a one group design conducted an initial test and final test (one group pretest posttest design), this study uses the VBT metric application to make it easier to analyze the training program. The subjects in this study were 14 male athletes from Lamongan Regency with age categories 16 - 23 years and body weight between 52 - 85 kg, and Body Mass Index (BMI) found 11 athletes with normal weight, 1 athlete with less weight, and 2 athletes with excess weight. The instrument used in this study was the two hand medicine ball push test. The data collected from the results of this study were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The results showed the value of t count = 16.369> t table 2.160 or the significance value of ρ of 0.000 <0.05 and there is a difference in the average value of 1.2179. So the conclusion that can be drawn is that weight training using bench press can provide a significant influence on increasing the explosive power of the arm muscles.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes in geography through the application of essay evaluation questions on lithosphere materials. Data collection was carried out from January-February 2023, at SMAN 61 Jakarta. The research method used by the researcher is a quantitative method with true experimental approach, and pretest-posttest control group design, where the researcher acts as a teacher in class, assisted by subject teachers as collaborators. The instrument used is a formative test on lithosphere material in the form of essay questions consisting of 8 questions. The results show that the application of evaluation questions through essay form in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes in geography has a varied range of measurable cognitive level results, from C1 to C6. Students have freedom to express their thoughts and explore in choosing answers, which allows for a broader and more complex measurement of cognitive thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of school principals in improving the teaching quality of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers through academic supervision activities in schools in remote areas. In this study the authors describe their research about the effect of school principals' academic supervision activities on the teaching quality of Islamic Religious Education teachers. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study type of research. In accordance with the results of research in academic supervision activities, it succeeded in increasing the value of lesson planning by 37%, and the value of the implementation of learning by 28% with the results of achieving an average score of 48.57 for PAI teachers in lesson planning activities in semester I (odd), then after academic supervision activities in semester II, the value of the lesson plan increased to 85.71. This value is the average value of the seven aspects assessed by the principal in the academic supervision activity assessment sheet. Furthermore, the results achieved for the implementation of learning activities in the first semester (odd) were 46.96 and after carrying out academic supervision activities in the second semester, the value of the implementation of learning activities increased to 74.78. This value is the average value of the seven aspects assessed by the principal in the academic supervision activity assessment sheet. By looking at these results, the academic supervision activities carried out by the principal for PAI teachers were successful and could improve the quality of teaching for these teachers.
