Abstract

A novel is a literary work created by an author in the form of a long prose essay and contains a series of stories of a person's life that emphasizes his character and behaviour. The study aimed to describe the structural and existential elements of gender inequality in Eka Kurniawan's novel Cantik itu Luka. The study used two theories: structure theory and literary criticism of feminism that focuses on women as readers. Intrinsic elements of the novel will be examined using structural theories while feminist literary critique theories are used to examine gender inequality in the novel. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study showed that (1) the structure in the novel Cantik itu Luka in the form of themes, plots, characters and strengthening, background, point of view, and mandate, (2) gender inequality that arises is in the form of gender inequality towards women through the perspective of feminism that leads to subordination that subordinates women, vulnerable to violence, negative stigma against women, and marginalization of women. This study suggest that a male writer must really understand women’s behaviors before writing about them.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) mengetahui hubungan antara kepribadian dengan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman; 2) mengetahui hubungan antara penguasaan kosakata dengan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman; 3) mengetahui hubungan antara kepribadian dan penguasaan kosakata dengan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman mahasiswa. Tipe penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober- Desember 2023 dengan jumlah sampel 15 responden. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari mahasiswa yang telah mengambil mata kuliah produktive Sprechfertigkeit A2.2 pada Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Jerman, universitas Pattimura dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel kepribadian dan penguasaan kosakata sebagai variabel bebas dan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman sebagai variabel terikat. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan tes keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman yang terstandarisasi GeR (Gemeinsamer europäischer Referenzrahmen) dan tes penguasaan kosakata pada level kebahasaan A2. Data kepribadian dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Persyaratan analisis statistik menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas dan liniearitas. Kemudian, data dianalisis menggunakan analisis korelasi sederhana dan uji korelasi ganda menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) adanya hubungan signifikan antara kepribadian dengan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman, diperoleh nilai p= 0,011 dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 5% dan koefisien korelasi r sebesar 0,632; 2) adanya hubungan signifikan antara penguasaan kosakata dengan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman yang ditandai dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,623 dan nilai p= 0,013; 3) adanya hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan antara kepribadian dan penguasaan kosakata dengan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman, dimana nilai sig. F change sebesar 0,015 sehingga nilai sig. F change < 0,05 dan R = 0,711.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a syllabus that focuses on developing German language skills at the Senior High School (SMA) level. In its development, student needs, learning objectives, effective teaching methods, and relevant learning materials must be considered. The development of a German language syllabus must be able to provide opportunities for students to interact actively in German. The proposed syllabus is designed to improve students' abilities in speaking, listening, reading and writing in German, as well as integrating content relevant to everyday life and German culture. Syllabus development methods include literature reviews, consultations with German language experts, and hands-on trials in the classroom environment. The development of this syllabus can increase students' learning motivation and help them achieve the learning targets that have been set. It is hoped that this research can make a positive contribution to German language learning at the high school level, by providing a solid foundation for effective and enjoyable teaching, and a positive contribution to improving the quality of German language learning in high school.

Abstract

Dialek dapat menjadi cerminan sejarah dan kecerdasan sosial suatu masyarakat. Sebagai salah satu bahasa dengan jumlah penutur terbanyak di dunia, bahasa Indonesia menunjukkan kemewahan dan perbedaan kata yang meningkatkan ekspresi dan pemahaman. Dalam situasi ini, kata-kata awal dari bahasa Jerman adalah sudut pandang yang menarik untuk diselidiki. Intuitif antara Indonesia dan negara-negara berbahasa Jerman, baik melalui pertukaran, pengajaran atau budaya, telah membentuk dasar yang kuat untuk proses peminjaman kata ini. Pembahasan dimulai dengan menggali sejarah hubungan antara bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jerman, terutama pada masa kolonialisme Belanda di Indonesia. Peran penting tokoh-tokoh Indonesia yang belajar di Jerman dalam menyebarkan kata-kata serapan serta pemahaman budaya Jerman yang kemudian diadopsi dalam bahasa Indonesia akan menjadi fokus utama. Selain itu, pembahasan juga mencakup analisis pola serapan dan adaptasi kata-kata dari bahasa Jerman ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Bagaimana kata-kata tersebut berubah bunyi, struktur, dan maknanya sesuai dengan tata bahasa dan konteks sosial budaya Indonesia akan menjadi sorotan penting. Kata serapan dari bahasa Jerman berperan penting dalam memperkaya kosakata bahasa Indonesia, terutama dalam bidang-bidang yang memerlukan istilah teknis dan ilmiah. Penggunaan kata serapan ini juga mencerminkan dinamika globalisasi dan pertukaran pengetahuan antarbangsa. Dengan memahami asal-usul dan adaptasi kata serapan dari bahasa Jerman, kita dapat lebih menghargai keragaman linguistik dalam bahasa Indonesia.Peran dalam Pengayaan Kosakata Kata serapan dari bahasa Jerman berperan penting dalam memperkaya kosakata bahasa Indonesia, terutama dalam bidang-bidang yang memerlukan istilah teknis dan ilmiah. Abstract

Research on the Culture Responsive Teaching (CRT) learning approach aims to ensure that in the learning process the educators or teachers focus not only on improving students' learning achievements, but also on helping students accept and strengthen their cultural identity. This research is semi-qualitative research with the research subjects being students of the German Department with 20 respondents . In this research it is used Integration of CRT aspects in learning among others Content Integration, facilitating Knowledge construction, Prejudice Reduction, Social Justice and Academic Development. As instruments used were questionnaires and interviews. The research results show that students have a high tendency towards the facilitating Knowledge construction aspect with a score of 95%, followed by other aspects, namely Prejudice Reduction (94%), Academic Development (92), Content Integration (89), Social Justice (89). It means that cultural elements are very important in the learning process because they can help students understand reading texts well, because teachers can provide explanations using local culture. So it can be concluded that this CRT approach needs to be applied at various levels of education

Abstract

Speaking skills as one of the speaking skills has a high frequency of use because it is inevitable in daily activities. The application of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) model in language learning is one way to encourage students to learn language and content (Sprache und Fach) in a balanced manner. This study aims to describe the effect of using CLIL method on students' speaking ability at niveau A2. The research method is an experiment conducted at the German Language Education Study Programme. The research sample was students who attended the A2.1 Productive Sprachfertigkeit course. The data were collected through a speaking test by referring to the A2 test used by the Goethe Institut. Based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that the application of CLIL method in learning contributes positively to students' speaking ability. This conclusion is based on the results of statistical calculations which show that the calculation value of t= (5.17) is more significant than Ttab (1.82) at the 0.05 level of significance. On the basis of these findings, it is hoped that the CLIL method can be considered as an alternative in learning German, especially to improve speaking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the embodiment of the Pancasila student profile at SMA Negeri 2 Ambon in the context of 21st century education, as well as describe the impact of the Pancasila student profile on the national identity of students at SMA Negeri 2 Ambon in the educational era of the 21st century. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method. This method involves collecting descriptive and interpretive data, such as observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research results show that the profile of Pancasila students at SMA Negeri 2 Ambon reflects the school's commitment to producing individuals who are not only academically intelligent, but also have high national awareness, relevant 21st century skills, and a passion to contribute to building a better society. Good. The positive impact seen in students' national identity, such as strengthening national identity, forming a strong nationalist character, increasing multicultural awareness, readiness to face global challenges, and forming quality future leaders, shows that the implementation of Pancasila values has great relevance in responding to the demands of 21st century education. This research provides an important contribution to our understanding of the manifestation of the Pancasila student profile at SMA Negeri 2 Ambon and its impact on the national identity of students in 21st century education. The findings from this research can be a basis for developing more effective educational strategies and policies in the future, as well as providing inspiration for other schools in strengthening the realization of the Pancasila student profile at SMA Negeri 2 Ambon and its impact on the national identity of students in 20th century education. -21.

Abstract

This qualitative research using descriptive analysis techniques aims to find out students' knowledge about suffixes forming nouns and adjectives and how the modification of suffix derivation forms nouns and adjectives. The sample of this research is in the form of test results from 19 students who have taken the Microlinguistics course. The results of this study are (1) Suffixes -e, -er, -keit, -schaft, -ung, -tät, -ion, -nis, -chen as noun formers in German are not well mastered by students of German Language Education Study Program. The average mastery of noun-forming suffixes is only 48%. The use of the suffix -e is the most (63%), while the use of the suffix -schaft is the least (37%) chosen by students as noun formers. While the average mastery of adjective marker suffixes -los, -bar, -ig, -sam, -lich, -al is only 47% with the suffix -los occupying the highest choice (63%) as an adjective marker suffix, and the suffix -al occupies the lowest choice (31%) in forming adjectives. (2) In the analysis of derivation modification, it is found that the modification of verb-derived derivation into nouns and adjectives is still poorly mastered by students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) analyze the intrinsic elements of the poem Erlkönig by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. (2) describe the results of the analysis of the poem. (3) outline the theme of the poem. In this study, the author used qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. Researchers focus on the instrinsic elements that exist in this poem. This research method is divided into three stages, namely the data collection stage, the data analysis stage and the data presentation stage. The results of data analysis show that in this poem there are intrinsic elements of poetry including theme, character and characterization, setting, plot, language style and diction, atmosphere, and structure. The poem also contains a deep meaning, about “Erlkönig” can be seen as a manifestation of the disease suffered by a child and describes the struggle between life and death. Erlkönig can be considered a metaphor for the inevitability of death.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the process of internalizing the values of Kebhinnekatunggalikaan and Pancasila at SMP Negeri 4 Ambon, a school with a high ethnic and religious diversity background. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research collected data through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions (FGDs). The findings show that SMP Negeri 4 Ambon has successfully integrated these values into the curriculum and various school activities. The interactive approach and collaborative projects applied by teachers proved effective in facilitating the understanding and application of the values of Kebhinnekatunggalikaan and Pancasila among students. Teachers and school staff play a key role as role models and mentors. However, challenges still exist, especially in relation to the different backgrounds of the students, which sometimes give rise to exclusionary attitudes. Nonetheless, this internalization program has improved harmony among students and built a harmonious school climate. The study recommends further development of the character education curriculum, improved teacher training, collaboration with the local community, and adequate resource support for program sustainability. The findings provide valuable insights for the development of character education practices in other schools and education policy in Indonesia.
