Abstract

Interfaith education and pluralism have increasingly been recognized as strategic approaches to counter radicalism and extremism in contemporary society. This study aims to analyze the role of interfaith education that respects religious diversity in reducing tendencies toward radicalism. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study explores the implementation of structured interfaith education programs and examines their influence on individuals’ perceptions of other religions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed thematically within the framework of pluralism theory. The findings reveal that well-designed and sustained interfaith education fosters deeper understanding of religious values, promotes attitudes of tolerance and mutual respect, and significantly reduces the inclination to adopt radical ideologies. These programs also contribute to strengthening social cohesion and intercultural dialogue. The study implies that interfaith education plays a crucial role in educational and social management as a preventive and deradicalization strategy, offering a transformative perspective on the role of religion in addressing contemporary social challenges and promoting peaceful coexistence in plural societies.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on students' critical thinking skills, with collaborative ability acting as an intervening variable, in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum for the Database subject in vocational education. This research was conducted at SMKN 6 Kupang involving 60 eleventh-grade students of the Software and Game Development (PPLG) program. A quantitative approach was employed using path analysis to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings of Model 1 indicate that the PjBL model has a significant positive effect on students' collaborative ability (β = 0.390, p < 0.05), explaining 15.2% of the variance. Furthermore, Model 2 reveals that the PjBL model significantly influences students' critical thinking skills both directly and indirectly through collaborative ability. Collaborative ability was found to have a significant effect on critical thinking skills and partially mediates the relationship between PjBL and critical thinking. These results suggest that PjBL not only directly enhances students' critical thinking skills but also strengthens them indirectly by fostering effective collaboration during project implementation. Therefore, the integration of PjBL in vocational learning, particularly in Database subjects, is effective in supporting the development of critical thinking and collaborative competencies required in 21st-century learning and the Merdeka Curriculum framework.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Star Jump games on children’s gross motor skills from an educational management perspective, particularly in managing physical activity learning in early childhood education. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was employed, involving 28 children divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through structured observation using a gross motor skill assessment instrument focusing on body balance and movement accuracy, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the Mann–Whitney U Test. The results revealed a significant improvement in gross motor skills among children in the experimental group after the implementation of Star Jump games compared to the control group. These findings indicate that well-planned and systematically managed movement-based learning activities effectively enhance children’s balance and movement precision. From an educational management perspective, the study underscores the importance of organizing, implementing, and evaluating engaging physical activity programs to support gross motor development. Therefore, Star Jump games can be considered an effective and enjoyable alternative for managing physical activity learning in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and work–life balance on job satisfaction, with work overload as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among employees in the fast-food industry as an empirical context to generate broader insights for educational management. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, with data were collected through online questionnaires distributed via Google Forms. A total of 150 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and mediation analysis to investigate the relationships among variables. The results indicate that work overload significantly mediates the relationship between HPWS and job satisfaction, suggesting that the implementation of high-performance work practices influences job satisfaction through workload intensity. However, work overload does not mediate the relationship between work–life balance and job satisfaction, indicating that work–life balance affects job satisfaction through alternative pathways beyond workload pressure. These findings imply that educational institutions should carefully design high-performance management systems while maintaining balanced workload structures to enhance job satisfaction among teachers and educational personnel. The study underscores the strategic importance of workload management in supporting sustainable human resource management within educational organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of character education for students with disabilities in inclusive elementary schools, with a focus on the application of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating functions. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis involving school leaders and classroom teachers. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that character education management is implemented through an integrated yet gradual application of the POAC framework. Inclusive planning emphasizes core character values such as religiosity, empathy, tolerance, responsibility, and discipline, although these values are not yet supported by formal written documentation. Organizing is conducted flexibly through role distribution among school personnel, while implementation relies on role modeling, habituation, and adaptive daily learning activities. Evaluation focuses primarily on observing individual behavioral changes through informal communication with parents. The study implies that strengthening written planning and structured evaluation mechanisms is essential to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of character education management for students with disabilities in inclusive school settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze school principals’ strategies for improving educational quality through the development of teaching personnel in vocational secondary education. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that principals implement teacher development strategies through competency enhancement via training programs and the dissemination of training outcomes, reinforcement of discipline and continuous performance supervision, as well as the provision of support, recognition, and a collaborative work environment. These strategies contribute to increased teacher professionalism and improved learning quality. Nevertheless, challenges persist, including limited training quotas, inadequate learning support facilities, and restricted access to technology. To address these constraints, schools apply internal knowledge-sharing mechanisms, encourage teacher self-directed learning, and establish sustainable collaborations with industry partners and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The study underscores the critical role of strategic and effective school leadership in fostering teacher development as a key driver for enhancing the quality of vocational education and offers practical insights for educational leaders and policymakers in designing sustainable professional development initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine internal quality assurance as an ideology constructed through instrumental rationality and to analyze its implications for educational management, pedagogical practices, and student learning experiences. Employing a qualitative approach within an interpretive paradigm, this study explores how quality assurance is socially constructed and enacted in school management. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with school leaders, teachers, and administrative staff, participatory observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns related to managerial rationality, quality discourse, and pedagogical consequences. Trustworthiness was ensured through source and method triangulation, informant verification, and contextual interpretation. The findings reveal that internal quality assurance is predominantly framed as an administrative and symbolic mechanism to achieve institutional legitimacy. Quality management practices emphasize documentation, reporting, and quantitative indicators, while pedagogical depth and student learning experiences receive less attention. This technocratic orientation constrains teacher autonomy, limits pedagogical innovation, and creates tensions between managerial accountability and instructional responsiveness. The study highlights the need to reform quality assurance systems in educational management by balancing administrative compliance with pedagogical development, empowering teachers, and repositioning student learning experiences as the core objective of quality improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of packaging design and digital marketing management on purchase decisions in educational culinary ventures, with brand image serving as a mediating variable. The research is grounded in an educational management perspective, particularly in understanding how the managerial implementation of marketing-related competencies within educational-based culinary enterprises contributes to consumer decision-making. A quantitative approach with a causal associative design was employed. Data were collected from 140 consumers of culinary products produced by educational culinary ventures in Pangkalpinang using structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares approach (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that packaging design and digital marketing management have significant positive effects on brand image. Furthermore, digital marketing management and brand image significantly influence purchase decisions. Packaging design does not exert a significant direct effect on purchase decisions; however, its effect becomes significant when mediated by brand image. Brand image emerges as the most dominant factor influencing purchase decisions. The structural model explains 57.1 percent of the variance in brand image and 59.3 percent of the variance in purchase decisions, demonstrating strong predictive power. These findings imply that effective educational management of culinary ventures should emphasize the integration of packaging design and digital marketing within entrepreneurship learning programs, as brand image plays a critical role in translating educational-based marketing practices into sustainable consumer purchasing behavior.
