Abstract

This study examines students’ memory ability through the use of prompt-based artificial intelligence (AI) in learning. The background of this research is the increasing utilization of AI by students to complete academic tasks, which may reduce their attention to teachers’ explanations and lead to superficial learning processes. The main problem identified is the declining interest of students in independently training their memory skills, resulting in suboptimal long-term cognitive development. Therefore, this study aims to identify implementation strategies of AI in learning and to analyze the effect of prompt-based AI usage on students’ memory ability. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 72 students selected from a population of 319 students at SMA Negeri 1 Kedungadem through probability random sampling. Data were collected through observation, pre-test and post-test instruments, documentation, and Likert-scale questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The findings reveal that prompt-based AI media significantly improved students’ memory ability in sociology learning for classes XI-7 and XI-8. The mean pre-test score increased from 59.56 to 69.42 in the post-test, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the research hypothesis was accepted. The novelty of this study lies in highlighting the role of prompt-based AI not only as a learning support tool but also as a medium to enhance concentration, strengthen memory retention, and promote students’ learning independence. Thus, AI can be utilized as a balanced learning medium that integrates technology, cognitive function, and social interaction.

Abstract

The Bugis poem Anaq Maseri is a significant oral literary heritage rich in formulas and formulaic expressions. This study aims to identify the formulaic structures within Anaq Maseri through a corpus analysis using AntConc software, uncovering the linguistic patterns that constitute thematic repetitions, and interpreting the cultural expressions underlying these formulas. Data were collected via transcriptions of oral texts, word frequency and bigram analysis, and collocation networks to map the relationships between formulas. The research also involved interviews with five Bugis cultural practitioners and observations of oral literary performances. The results indicate that Anaq Maseri possesses strong formulaic patterns in the repetition of keywords such as muitaka (mirroring), matinro manuq-manuq (sleeping like a bird/light sleep), and langi (sky), which form a semantic network concerning self-reflection, life journeys, and Bugis cosmology. The analysis demonstrates alignment with the Parry-Lord theory of oral-formulaic composition while simultaneously revealing local cultural constructions within Bugis symbolism. This study enriches the interdisciplinary understanding of Nusantara oral literature and opens opportunities for educational applications based on formulaic analysis.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of maintaining employee performance amid increasing work demands and the evolving dynamics of modern work patterns, particularly in digital service companies. High workload and an imbalance between work and personal life are considered key factors influencing employee performance. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work life balance on employee performance at PT XYZ Yogyakarta. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to a total of 77 respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on employee performance. The results show that workload has a significant negative effect on employee performance, while work life balance has a significant positive effect. Simultaneously, both variables also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.337 indicates that 33.7% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by workload and work life balance, while the remaining 66.3% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. This study implies that organizations need to manage workload proportionally and enhance employees’ work life balance to improve overall performance.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively identify and analyze various challenges in the implementation of integrated social studies instruction at the elementary and secondary education levels. The method used was a literature review involving the identification, screening, and selection of articles. Of the 148 articles identified, 15 met the inclusion criteria for further analysis. Data collection was conducted using keywords related to challenges, difficulties, and the implementation of integrated learning in social studies. The results of the study indicate that the main challenges include low priority in the curriculum, suboptimal integration of interdisciplinary content, limited instructional time, and insufficient resources and teaching materials. Additionally, teachers competencies in adapting to changes and utilizing educational technology still need to be improved. Internal and external factors related to students also influence learning difficulties, while the utilization of the environment and global issues as learning resources remains suboptimal. In conclusion, the success of integrated social studies learning requires strong curriculum policy support, enhanced teacher professionalism, and innovation in strategies and the utilization of contextual and adaptive learning resources.

Abstract

The Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy established through the Circular Letter of the Regent of Bengkulu Tengah Number 000.8.3/0014/B.7/1/2026 introduces a flexible working arrangement for civil servants (ASN) within the Bengkulu Tengah Regency Government, stipulating that civil servants are required to work from office for three days per week while being permitted to work from any location for the remaining two days. This study examines two principal legal issues: first, the conformity of the WFA policy with the hierarchy of civil service regulations in Indonesia, and second, its implications for the fulfilment of public service obligations toward the community from the perspective of excellent public service principles. The research employs a normative legal method with statute and case study approaches. The findings indicate that although the Regent possesses attributed authority to establish internal personnel policies, the Circular Letter does not occupy a formal position within the statutory hierarchy, thus limiting its binding force to the internal scope of the agency. Furthermore, the three-day office work scheme carries a risk of reduced public service accessibility and responsiveness if not accompanied by adequate service substitution mechanisms. The study recommends strengthening the legal foundation through a Regent Regulation and establishing an integrated quality assurance system for public services during WFA implementation.

Abstract

Financial administration is an important aspect of managing organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies, as it relates to the processes of planning, organizing, implementing, recording, supervising, and accounting for the use of financial resources. Proper and systematic financial management is necessary to ensure that financial resources are utilized effectively, efficiently, transparently, and accountably in order to support the achievement of organizational goals. Therefore, understanding the fundamental principles of financial administration is essential for organizational managers so that they can perform financial management functions appropriately and responsibly. This article aims to explain the basic concepts of financial administration and their application in various organizational contexts. The method used in this study is a library research method, which involves examining various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, and official documents related to financial administration. The data obtained are then analyzed descriptively to provide a comprehensive overview of the definition, functions, principles, and implementation mechanisms of financial administration in organizational practice. The results of the study show that financial administration includes several important activities, such as budgeting, managing revenues and expenditures, recording financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and conducting supervision and evaluation of budget utilization. In practice, financial administration must be based on the principles of good financial management, including transparency, accountability, effectiveness, efficiency, and responsibility. The application of these principles aims to prevent the misuse of funds, increase stakeholder trust, and ensure that every financial activity is carried out according to the planned objectives. Furthermore, the proper implementation of financial administration also contributes to improving the quality of organizational management, particularly in terms of program planning, decision-making, and the control of operational activities. With a well-structured financial administration system, organizations are able to monitor cash flow more accurately, prepare clear financial reports, and conduct periodic evaluations of financial usage. Ultimately, this helps organizations achieve their goals more effectively and sustainably. In conclusion, financial administration does not merely function as a process of financial recording but also as a management system that supports the optimal utilization of resources. Therefore, every organization needs to understand and consistently apply the principles of financial administration in order to establish good, transparent, and accountable financial governance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how fresh graduates perceive marriage after watching Marriage is Scary content and how the discourse within the content constructs fear of marriage. This research employs a qualitative approach using discourse analysis. The subjects of this study are fresh graduates in Banjarmasin City who have watched the Marriage is Scary content. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using Michel Foucault’s perspective, which views discourse as power relations that produce knowledge and shape how individuals understand reality. The findings reveal that Marriage is Scary content does not merely present personal experiences but also reproduces particular discourses about marriage. These discourses shape fresh graduates’ perceptions through narratives of domestic conflict, gender role inequality, emotional burdens, and fear of physical and personal changes after marriage. The fear of marriage that emerges is not natural or inherent; rather, it is constructed through power relations embedded in social media discourse. Therefore, this study concludes that the discourse within TikTok content Marriage is Scary plays a significant role in shaping fresh graduates’ perceptions of marriage.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the readiness of EFL students across different grade levels to utilize ChatGPT as a supportive tool in English language learning, based on the RAIS framework, in response to the lack of empirical investigation into students’ preparedness in terms of technology self-efficacy, student interaction, and ethical awareness as a foundation for effective and responsible AI integration in secondary education. This study aimed to investigate the readiness of EFL students to use ChatGPT in English learning at one of the publics Senior High Schools in North Bali. This research employed a quantitative survey method, in which data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using statistical techniques. The population of this study consisted of EFL students at One of the publics Senior High Schools in North Bali, with samples drawn from students in grades 10, 11, and 12. The results of the study revealed that (1) The overall level of readiness of EFL students at One of the publics Senior High Schools in North Bali to use ChatGPT in English learning was high. These findings indicate that students are capable of accessing and utilizing artificial intelligence-based technology and possess adequate attitudes, self-confidence, and ethical awareness to integrate ChatGPT into their English learning process. (2) Differences in readiness levels among EFL students in grades 10, 11, and 12 at One of the publics Senior High Schools in North Bali showed no statistically significant differences. This finding indicates that readiness to use ChatGPT as a supporting tool for English learning is relatively uniform across grade levels, suggesting that contextual and pedagogical factors, such as consistent curriculum, institutional support, and exposure to technology-integrated learning, play a more critical role than grade level or academic progression in shaping students’ technology readiness. Future researchers are recommended to expand the scope of the study by involving multiple institutions, employing mixed-method approaches, and examining the relationship between students’ AI readiness and actual English learning outcomes to provide a more comprehensive understanding of effective ChatGPT integration in secondary education.
