Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of basic table tennis skills in fifth-grade students at SDN 7 Pinembani. Basic table tennis skills in this study were measured through six types of tests: a 30-second bouncing test, a 1-minute forehand stroke test, a 1-minute backhand stroke test, and a 10-time service test. The study subjects were 10 fifth-grade students at SDN 7 Pinembani who were selected as the research sample. The results showed that no students (0%) were in the Very Good category, this was because most students had not been able to master the basic techniques thoroughly and correctly. A total of 3 students (30%) were in the Good category, influenced by their habit of playing table tennis regularly both at school and outside of school. Five students (50%) fell into the Moderate category, characterized by a standard score, where students mastered only one test item well but were weak on the others. Two students (20%) fell into the Poor category, due to low scores on almost all test items and the lack of sports facilities and infrastructure at school, such as limited table tennis rackets, balls, and nets. Furthermore, two students (20%) fell into the Very Poor category, influenced by their low interest in table tennis. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the level of basic table tennis skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 7 Pinembani is mostly in the Moderate category (50%), thus requiring improved learning and the provision of adequate facilities and infrastructure to support basic table tennis skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

The crime of motor vehicle theft with violence is a criminal phenomenon that is very disturbing to the community because it not only threatens property, but also the safety of life. This study aims to analyze the factors causing the crime of motor vehicle theft with violence, and law enforcement efforts based on (Study of Decision Number 651 / Pid.B / 2025 / PN Tjk) the mechanism of criminal law enforcement against perpetrators of theft with violence and evaluate the implementation of law enforcement in achieving the value of legal certainty and justice. The problems in this study are: the factors causing the crime of motor vehicle theft with violence based on decision number 651 / Pid.B / 2025 / PN Tjk. and criminal law enforcement against perpetrators of motor vehicle theft with violence based on decision number 651 / Pid.B / 2025 / PN Tjk. The research method uses a normative juridical and empirical juridical approach. The normative juridical approach is taken through a literature study by examining relevant laws and regulations, doctrines, and legal literature. Meanwhile, an empirical approach is carried out by interviewing parties involved or directly understanding the case in order to obtain a factual picture regarding the application of the law in the field. The results of the study indicate that the factors causing this crime come from internal aspects in the form of economic factors, education, religion, personality as well as external aspects which include the influence of family, environment, culture or habits. Regarding law enforcement, it has been carried out appropriately, and in accordance with the mechanisms of criminal procedure law. This can be seen from several aspects: the fulfillment of all elements of Article 363 paragraph (1) 4.5 of the Criminal Code, the Public Prosecutor assesses that the elements of the crime have been completely proven, and states that the perpetrator consciously committed his actions as a perpetrator of motor vehicle theft, the Panel of Judges issued a verdict based on the belief obtained from evidence, evidence and statements from witnesses and the perpetrator. The suggestion from this study is that law enforcement officers increase their accuracy in conducting examinations and eradicating criminal acts such as theft.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the historical norm in Y.B. Mangunwijaya’s novel Ikan-ikan Hiu, Ido, Homa using a qualitative method. The primary data consist of the novel Ikan-ikan Hiu, Ido, Homa, while secondary data include books, journals, and articles related to historical norm. The analysis was carried out through intensive reading and interpretation of the text’s empty spaces (leerstellen) to identify the relation between reality and fiction. The findings show that the novel presents historical norms related to the Ternate Kingdom and its relations with other North Maluku kingdoms, the arrival of foreign powers (Portuguese and Dutch), and the Banda massacre. By reconstructing these elements, Mangunwijaya creates a humanistic reflection and a critique of power. The novel thus serves as a dialogic space between text and reality, between history and human consciousness.

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the implementation of character education focused on discipline and religious values at SDIT Bina Bangsa in the city of Serang. The research methodology employed in this study was qualitative and descriptive. Data collection for this study involved observational data, interviews, and documentation, all of which involved teachers and students. The results indicate that performing the Dhuha prayer regularly can enhance students’ disciplinary and religious attitudes. These disciplinary attitudes are demonstrated by students’ adherence to existing rules, fulfillment of their responsibilities, and awareness of the importance of performing religious duties independently. Synergy between the school and parents, supportive school policies, and teacher role modeling contributed to the success of this initiative. Thus, performing the Dhuha prayer can serve as an effective method for instilling a disciplined attitude in elementary school students grounded in Islamic values.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence (EI) plays a crucial role in students’ character development and academic success. In the context of Islamic education, religious habituation such as Dhuha prayer is viewed not only as a spiritual practice but also as a means of strengthening self-regulation and emotional management. This study aimed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and participation in Dhuha prayer at the classroom level in an Islamic junior secondary school (Madrasah Tsanawiyah). The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design. The population consisted of all students of MTs Muhammadiyah 04 Purbalingga, with a sample of 113 students selected through convenience sampling. Emotional intelligence was measured using the Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS), while data on Dhuha prayer participation were obtained from class attendance records. Data analysis was conducted at the classroom level by calculating the mean EI scores and average Dhuha prayer participation, followed by Spearman correlation analysis. The results revealed a very strong positive association between mean emotional intelligence and Dhuha prayer participation across classes (ρ = 1.00; N = 3). This association reflects a consistent pattern at the class level and should be interpreted cautiously due to the limited number of analytical units and the correlational nature of the study.  This research contributes theoretically to the literature on emotional intelligence and religious practices and provides practical implications for strengthening character education through structured religious habituation programs in schools.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Pancasila values and Islamic teachings in civic education from the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith, and its implications for educational participation and gender equality in Bangka Regency. The study is motivated by the need to strengthen civic education through a value-based approach that aligns national ideology with religious principles. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, drawing on scholarly journal articles and normative sources, including the Qur’an and Hadith. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify conceptual relationships and thematic patterns. The findings indicate that Pancasila values, such as divinity, humanity, and social justice, are substantively aligned with Islamic teachings, particularly in promoting equality, justice, and moral responsibility. The Qur’anic perspective emphasizes the equality of all human beings regardless of gender, supporting equal access to education as a fundamental right. The integration of these values in civic education contributes to strengthening moral awareness and encouraging active participation in education. However, the study also identifies challenges in implementation, including socio-cultural barriers and limited contextual understanding of religious teachings, which may hinder gender equality in educational access and participation. The study concludes that a more systematic and contextualized approach is needed to effectively integrate these values in civic education. Further empirical research is recommended to explore practical implementation and its impact at the local level.
