Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, motivation, and compensation on the work spirit of employees at the Sungai Penuh Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Sungai Penuh District. The main issue addressed in this research is the low work morale of employees despite the fact that these factors have been relatively well-managed. The method used is a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires and documentation. The sample consists of employees at the Sungai Penuh Health Center, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results indicate that competence, motivation, and compensation have a weak relationship with work spirit, with significance values greater than 0.05. Multiple linear regression analysis shows that these three variables together explain only 21.7% of the variation in employee work spirit. These findings suggest that other factors not identified in this study may have a greater influence on employee morale at the Sungai Penuh Health Center.

Abstract

Social media has now transformed into a digital public space that not only presents information and entertainment, but has also become an arena of invisible competition. Within it, scattered standards of achievement, lifestyle, and physical appearance form false perceptions about ideal life. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze how Islamic values taught in Islamic Religious Education can serve as guidelines for self-protection in facing psychological pressures caused by social media standards among junior high school students. The method used is field research conducted at a junior high school with a qualitative approach that is descriptive-analytical in nature. The primary data sources are Islamic Religious Education teachers and 9th-grade students, while the secondary data sources consist of homeroom teachers and relevant journal articles. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques involve data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this research show that social media brings significant impact on the mental health and spirituality of adolescents. This is reinforced by the opinions of Islamic Religious Education teachers and homeroom teachers, who assess that today's teenagers are more bound to the digital world than to transcendental relationships with God. To address this issue, Islamic Religious Education values such as tauhid, iffah, and tawazun have proven effective as guidelines for protecting oneself from social media pressures. These three values build spiritual awareness, self-control, and balance in living digital life. Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources has become a primary focus in national development towards Indonesia Emas 2045. One of the key strategies is the transformation of the compulsory education policy, which initially mandated nine years of schooling, later expanded to twelve years, and is now directed towards thirteen years with the integration of Early Childhood Education (PAUD). Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping children's readiness for primary education while simultaneously reducing literacy gaps from an early age. This article aims to analyze the urgency of expanding compulsory education to thirteen years from the perspective of national human resource development and Indonesia's commitment to Target 4.2 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. This study employs a qualitative approach based on literature review of national policy documents, academic studies, and research findings. The results indicate that integrating PAUD into the compulsory education system will strengthen school readiness, enhance equitable access to education, and establish a strong foundation for literacy, numeracy, and character development among Indonesian children. To realize this policy, it is necessary to expand access to quality PAUD services, strengthen national regulations, and foster multi-stakeholder collaboration. Through these efforts, thirteen years of compulsory education will serve as a strategic foundation for developing superior and globally competitive Indonesian human resources.

Abstract

Taxes are a primary source of state revenue but, on the other hand, can be a burden for companies as they reduce net profit. Therefore, an appropriate tax management strategy is needed to legally minimize the tax burden. This study aims to analyze the tax planning strategies implemented by PT XYZ, a company engaged in human resource solutions. This research employs a qualitative approach through interview techniques to obtain relevant data. The results show that PT XYZ has applied various tax planning strategies, including: deferring revenue recognition for projects that are not yet substantially completed, accurate and complete documentation of tax withholdings, careful management of input and output VAT, grouping non-deductible expenses to avoid tax corrections, optimizing the recognition of deductible expenses, and using the services of tax consultants. All these strategies are carried out in compliance with the prevailing tax regulations in Indonesia, thereby not only reducing the company’s tax burden but also improving its tax compliance.

Abstract

The advancement of technology in the digital era has significantly transformed the educational landscape, including at the elementary school level. While students today grow up surrounded by technology, many still lack the awareness and skills to use it wisely and productively for learning. This study aims to explore the integration of technology and collaborative learning models in enhancing the digital literacy of elementary school students. A qualitative approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews and literature review as data collection methods. The findings reveal that integrating technology into learning creates a more interactive environment and fosters the development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Collaborative learning models have proven effective in increasing student engagement, social skills, and digital competence. Teachers’ strategies for integrating technology include the use of educational applications, project-based learning, and the incorporation of digital ethics. Despite challenges such as limited infrastructure and varying levels of digital literacy, a comprehensive approach involving teachers, students, and parents can optimize the benefits of technology-enhanced collaborative learning. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of relevant educational policies and teaching practices in the digital.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the teaching strategy preferences implemented by male and female English teachers at senior highs bb School, focusing on how gender affects the choice of teaching strategies. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through observations, teaching strategy checklists, anecdotal notes, and in-depth interviews with English teachers at the school. The findings show that male teachers mostly use student-centered strategies such as direct explanation and exercises with training on learning strategies, including social-affective learning strategies, projects, problems, discovery, active learning, integrated learning, and flipped learning. Meanwhile, female teachers tend to adopt more contemporary and student-centered strategies such as project-based learning and the use of varied media, assignments, and female teachers use more cognitive and metacognitive strategies, but the application of other strategies such as project-based learning, active learning, flipped learning, and competency-based learning and differentiated learning is still very limited. This difference suggests that gender plays an important role in shaping teaching strategy preferences, with male teachers more willing to try different methods, especially technology-based and collaborative ones, while female teachers tend to choose contemporary and more interactive strategies. The study concludes that recognizing and understanding these gender-based differences can inform curriculum development and professional growth for teachers, ultimately supporting more effective English language teaching and learning in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This activity aimed to examine the mathematical problem-solving abilities of elementary school students. The low level of problem-solving skills must be a key focus when designing instructional materials. High-quality learning tools can help students develop strong problem-solving skills. This study employs a descriptive research design using a qualitative approach. The initial observation in this study aims to enhance students' problem-solving abilities, particularly in mathematics, by investigating the teaching materials currently used and developed by teachers, and whether these materials require further development. This includes whether there is a need to develop problem-based learning (PBL) materials grounded in real-life situations to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Initial observations at SDN 03 Bunga Tanjung and SDN 04 Kajai reveal the following: (1) The learning process is still predominantly teacher-centered, (2) Only a small number of students are actively involved in the learning process, with many appearing distracted or playing with peers, (3) During lessons, teachers are not using student worksheets that match the students' characteristics; instead, they rely solely on standard textbooks. Based on these findings, further research is needed to develop problem-based learning materials for elementary school students.
