Abstract

The low learning outcomes of class XI students at SMAN 3 Tasikmalaya in economics prompted the author to conduct this research. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the group investigation learning model on student learning outcomes. By using quantitative research methods, quasi-experimental methods with non-equivalent control group design. Class XI IPS 1 as the experimental class and class XI IPS 2 as the control class are the research samples used in the study. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000 and more than (<0.005). That there is a positive influence between the group investigation learning model on learning outcomes. Likewise, the average score of the experimental class learning outcomes is greater than the control class. So, it can be concluded that the application of the group investigation learning model in the subject of economics, international trade material, has a positive effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The main problem related to this research is the low learning outcomes of students in economics subjects. This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes before and after treatment as well as differences in increased student learning outcomes in the experimental class with the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by Word Wall media and the control class with the conventional model after treatment. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method. Data analysis techniques used the SPSS 25.00 program, namely paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test with a significant level of 5% or 0.05. Based on the research results, the sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 so that it can be concluded that there are differences in the increase in learning outcomes of students in the experimental class using the cooperative model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by Word Wall media after being given treatment with the control class using conventional learning models after completing learning.

The problem in this study is that students often engage in academic cheating behaviors while pursuing their studies in college. This research is conducted to determine the influence of pressure, opportunity, rationalization, capability, and arrogance on academic cheating behavior among students majoring in Economics Education from the 2020, 2021, and 2022 cohorts, both partially and simultaneously. This study utilizes a quantitative method in the form of a survey with an explanatory survey design. The population of this study consists of all students from the Faculty of Teacher Tarining and Education, from the 2020, 2021, and 2022 cohorts. The sampling technique used is Probability Sampling with the Proportionate Startified Sampling method, which resulted in sample size of 188 students. Data collection is done through questionnaires, and data analysis is conducted using the SPSS 26.0 for Windows software. The research findings are as follows: 1) There is significant influence of pressure on academic cheating behavior with a significance value of 0,046. 2) There is a significant influence of opportunity on academic cheating behavior with a significance value of 0,001. 3) There is a significant influence of rationalization on academic cheating behavior with a significance value of 0,000. 4) There is a significant influence of capability on academic cheating behavior with a significance value of 0,000. 5) There is a significant influence of arrogance on academic cheating behavior with a significance value of 0,030.

Abstract

The rise of various symptoms of financial problems among students has serious impacts. Poor financial planning is indivisible from the impact of emotional intelligence and the level of money related proficiency. Financial planning must be managed properly and planned to achieve the desired life goals, so that financial planning can be said to be healthy. In this regard, a study investigating strategy was utilized with a quantitative approach, using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. From the results of the study it was found that there was a positive and significant influence between emotional intelligence on financial literacy, financial literacy on financial planning, and also emotional intelligence on financial planning. In addition, financial literacy is considered capable of mediating the impact of emotional intelligence on financial planning. And for the contribution of the indirect effect, which was 40%, it was greater than the direct effect, which was 28.6%. For further research, additional variables such as financial attitudes can be used, where this financial attitude is a person's discipline regarding how to manage finances which can later complement models that affect financial planning in expansion to the autonomous factors utilized in this way of thinking.

Abstract

Kampus Mengajar is one of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education programs (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka), which provides a platform for students to be independent in determining their future by learning outside the classroom. On this platform, students become teacher partners in the learning process in the fifth-grade class. The students accomplished the program activities at school for 108 working days or five months, starting from August to December 2022. One of the learning programs is to improve Literacy and numeracy learning at the basic education level. Methods of strengthening literacy learning are selecting particular reading texts for the elementary level, basic literacy concepts, good practice of literacy strategies, and the School Literacy Movement. The method of implementing reinforcement for numeracy is to provide good practice of numeracy strategies through games and media to improve students' numeracy. The learning outcomes were based on the result scoring test of the Minimum Class Competency Assessment students at the 5th grade elementary in the target school.

Abstract

Unemployment among educated people makes a significant contribution. One of the triggers is the low interest in entrepreneurship among students. This is indicated by students' low participation in activities related to entrepreneurship since they were in college. After graduation, students prefer careers as employees or civil servants rather than entrepreneurs. This study aims to determine the extent to which self-efficacy, family support, and entrepreneurship education affect the interest in entrepreneurship either simultaneously or partially. This study uses a quantitative survey method with an explanatory survey design. The research population is students of the Department of Economics Education, Siliwangi University, Class of 2020. The sampling technique is saturated sampling, which totals 112 students. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, and the data analysis technique uses the SPSS 25.0 for Windows program. The results showed: 1) There is a significant influence between self-efficacy on the interest in entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.030; 2) There is no significant effect between family support on the interest in entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.405; 3) There is no significant effect between entrepreneurship education on interest in entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.321 4) There is a significant influence between self-efficacy, family support and entrepreneurship education on interest in entrepreneurship with a significance value of 0.000.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate using chatbot media in the direct instruction learning model to improve student learning outcomes in economics subjects and using a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used pretest and posttest in the form of multiple choice questions. The research population was all class X IPS SMAN 7 Tasikmalaya students, totaling 208 students. The sample was taken based on a purposive sampling technique, so class X IPS 5 was obtained as the experimental class and class X IPS 2 as the control class. Data analysis techniques used paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test with a significance level of 5% or 0.05. The results of the hypothesis testing show: (1) There is an increase in student learning outcomes in the experimental class with an average pretest score of 41.82 and a posttest score of 81.56. (2) There is an increase in student learning outcomes in the control class, with an average pretest score of 35.29 and a posttest average of 76.74. (3) There is a difference in the increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class, with a comparison of the n-gain average value of the experimental class being greater than that of the control class, equal to 0.69 and 0.63. So, using chatbot media in the direct instruction learning model can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The author is interested in researching the development of education from ancient Greece and Rome to the Middle Ages in Europe. Education, as a form of human effort, aims to benefit individuals and remains an integral part of human life. Over time, science has rapidly evolved, with early recognition of Greece as the birthplace of Western culture. Greek civilization, influenced by both Eastern and Western cultures, contributed to the emergence of three distinct nations: Aegae-Creta, Aryans, and Dorians. During Roman times, education aimed to cultivate loyal and courageous citizens, prepared for sacrificial service to their homeland. However, with the rise of Hellenism and the influence of Greek philosophers, a cultural shift occurred, leading to an increased awareness among the Romans of the importance of knowledge. Consequently, the educational goal evolved to focus on shaping well-rounded individuals.
