Abstract

The interest in learning among students, particularly in Arabic language classes, can be influenced by monotonous learning environments and the lack of media used during classroom instruction. This research aims to determine whether the use of taboo games as a medium affects the interest in learning Arabic among 10th-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Luqman Al-Hakim Limboto. In this study, the researcher employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest format and utilized questionnaires for data collection. The sample consisted of all 12 students in the 10th grade at Madrasah Aliyah Luqman Al-Hakim Limboto. Based on the data analysis results, it can be concluded that the use of taboo games has an influence on the students' interest in Arabic language subjects. This is evidenced by the paired sample t-test results, where the significance value (2-tailed) is less than 0.05, indicating a significant impact of taboo games on students' interest in learning Arabic.  This research can serve as a recommendation for teachers to use taboo games as a medium in teaching Arabic. The use of taboo games can be an effective tool to motivate students and increase their interest in learning Arabic, making the learning process more enjoyable and interactive.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of Pop Up Book media in learning Arabic in grade IV, especially in students' mastery of mufradat. The research was conducted at MIS Al-Mubarakah Mohiyolo by involving grade IV students as research subjects. The research method used is an experiment with a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, which can compare the conditions before and after the treatment. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test tests to measure students' mastery of mufrodat. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant influence of the use of Pop Up Book media on students' mastery of mufrodat. This can be seen from the results of the hypothesis test using the Mann-Whitney test obtained a significance value (2-tiled) < 0.05, so there is a significant influence on the experimental class. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and produce interactive educational media using Canva for Arabic vocabulary (mufrodat) learning for fourth-grade students at MIN 2 in Gorontalo Regency. The impetus for this research originates from noticing that technology is not widely integrated into the Arabic learning process, leading to less effective language acquisition and difficulties for students in understanding vocabulary. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, specifically following the ADDIE model, which includes the phases of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The methods for data collection included observation, interviews, and documentation, and the data were confirmed by specialists in media, content, and language. Trials were conducted with both small and large groups to evaluate the efficacy of the educational tools. The results indicate that the interactive educational media utilizing Canva is highly feasible, with validation scores of 96%, 92%, and 95% from media, content, and language experts, respectively. Trials with small and large groups yielded positive responses with average percentages of 81% and 84%. Analysis of pre-test and post-test data employing the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test indicated a notable enhancement in students' vocabulary comprehension after using the Canva-based learning media, with a Z value of -4.024 and a two-tailed asymptotic significance of 0.000. In conclusion, the Canva-based interactive learning media is effective in enhancing students' abilities in learning Arabic vocabulary.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' processes and perceptions of Arabic learning skills using the role-playing method. The population in this study was 18 grade 10th students at MAS Mamba'ul Ulum Jambi. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The researcher analyzed the data using triangulation techniques. The process is a teacher appoints 2 or 3 students to a group, divides the roles, and instructs other students to pay attention. The advantages are: a) students enjoy learning using the role-playing method, b) students easy to memorize vocabulary, and c) there is an increase in students' Arabic-speaking learning outcomes with a score of 62.77 increasing to 84.72 after learning using the role-playing method. However, the researcher also finds a drawback, namely that it takes a long time to implement and disturbs other classes because the class becomes noisier.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh melalui kritik sastra feminisme yang terdapat pada novel “The Girls Of Riyadh” karya Rajaa Al Sanea. Sumber informasi yang penulis pakai dalam penelitian ini adalah buku “The Girls Of Riyadh” karya Rajaa Al Sanea. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berbentuk kajian pustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik pustaka yaitu dengan menggunakan sumber tertulis. Langkah yang dilakukan dalam pengumpulan data ini yaitu dengan mencatat dan membaca.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga citra perempuan kontrafeminis yang membangun eksistensi stereotip perempuan antara lain: [1] citra diri perempuan sebagai tokoh pendukung [2] citra perempuan dalam internalisasi peran tradisional [3] citra sosial terkait stigma perempuan subordinat dalam novel The Girls of Riyadh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemahiran membaca dan memahami teks bahasa Arab siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Bolaang Mongondow. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi yang telah dilakukan, permasalahan tersebut diakibatkan oleh gaya mengajar guru yang kurang bervariasi dan monoton. Hal ini berakibat pada keaktifan dan semangat siswa dalam belajar, yang berdampak pada rendahnya pengetahuan siswa, terutama dalam keterampilan membaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan membaca peserta didik sebelum menggunakan metode PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) dan proses peningkatan keterampilan membaca setelah menggunakan metode PQ4R pada siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Bolaang Mongondow. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, di mana setiap siklus terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan. Proses PTK dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini merujuk pada model Kemmis & McTaggart, yang dalam alur penelitiannya meliputi langkah-langkah berikut: Perencanaan (planning), Tindakan (acting), Pengamatan (observing), dan Refleksi (reflecting). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A yang berjumlah 24 orang, terdiri atas 12 siswa laki-laki dan 12 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi, tes, dokumentasi, dan wawancara, dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif model interaktif oleh Miles dan Huberman, yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan membaca siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 Bolaang Mongondow meningkat dengan menerapkan metode PQ4R. Peningkatan tersebut dibuktikan dari persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa. Pada pra-siklus, hasil pre-test menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 20%. Setelah diterapkan metode PQ4R, persentase ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 45% pada siklus I, dan kembali meningkat menjadi 95% pada siklus II.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of the prediction guide method on the learning outcomes of grade VII students of MTs Al-Khairaat, Gorontalo City. The sample in this study consisted of two experimental groups of 20 students and a control group of 13 students. The experimental group is a group that carries out Arabic language learning using the Prediction Guide Method, while the control group is a group that carries out Arabic language learning without using the Prediction Guide Method. The instrument used is a test instrument (objective question test). Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the significance value or Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05, which shows that the use of the Prediction Guide method in learning Arabic has a positive effect on the learning outcomes of grade VII students of MTs Al-Khairaat Gorontalo City.

Abstract

The study of ilm al-balaghah (rhetoric) among university students often faces challenges in understanding rhetorical concepts deeply, primarily due to the theoretical nature and lack of contextualization in the teaching materials used. This study aims to analyze the impact of using an ilm al-balaghah textbook based on hadith qudsi on improving students' understanding in the Arabic Language Education (PBA) program at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo. This research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The population consists of PBA students at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, with the sample selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument consists of a pre-test and post-test measuring students' understanding of ilm al-balaghah before and after using the textbook. Data analysis was conducted using statistical tests to evaluate the differences in students' understanding before and after the intervention. The findings indicate that the use of an ilm al-balaghah textbook based on hadith qudsi significantly contributes to improving students' comprehension. The textbook facilitates a more contextual and practical understanding of ilm al-balaghah concepts. Statistical analysis revealed a significant increase in students' comprehension scores after applying the textbook in the learning process. Therefore, this book is recommended as an alternative teaching material for rhetoric studies in higher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tindak tutur ilokusi dalam Surah Luqman dalam Al-Qur’an. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan menggunakan Al-Qur’an sebagai data primer dan sumber-sumber sekunder yang relevan. Analisis tindak tutur ilokusi dilakukan untuk memahami tujuan komunikatif yang terkandung dalam ayat-ayat Surah Luqman. Hasil kajian menunjukkan adanya berbagai jenis tindak tutur ilokusi dalam Surah Luqman. Salah satu jenisnya adalah tindak tutur asertif, yang terkait dengan pernyataan yang bersifat netral. Contoh ayat yang mengandung tindak tutur asertif adalah ayat 6 yang mengingatkan tentang bahaya percakapan kosong yang menyesatkan manusia dari jalan Allah. Selain itu, tindak tutur ilokusi lain yang ditemukan dalam Surah Luqman adalah tindak tutur direktif, komisif, ekspresif, dan deklaratif. Setiap jenis tindak tutur ilokusi memiliki implikasi dan pesan yang tersirat yang penting untuk dipahami dalam konteks terjemahan Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami makna dan pesan dalam Surah Luqman serta menggambarkan berbagai tindak tutur ilokusi yang terdapat dalam surah tersebut. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengkajian lebih lanjut tentang pragmatik Al-Qur’an dan pemahaman kontekstual dalam memahami ayat-ayat kitab suci Islam.

Abstract

Pentingnya kemampuan menulis bahasa arab dalam kehidupan sosial menjadi dasar dalam penelitian. Metode imla menjadi salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tesebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana penggunaan metode imla' mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa kelas tujuh di MTs Masyariqul Anwar dalam menulis (maharah kitabah). Metode yang digunakan adalah metodologi kuantitatif dengan sampel berjumlah dua puluh siswa dalam penelitian ini. Tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment. Hasil temuan menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang baik antara kemampuan menulis siswa dan pendekatan imla' dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,72. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa, penggunaan pendekatan ini menyumbang 72% dari peningkatan kemampuan menulis. Skor rata-rata total kemampuan menulis siswa adalah 77,3, yang dianggap tinggi, sementara skor rata-rata imla' mereka adalah 75. Studi ini menunjukkan nilai metode imla' sebagai strategi yang berhasil untuk meningkatkan kemahiran siswa tingkat madrasah dalam menulis bahasa Arab
