Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is a pre-experimental research which aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of the crossword puzzle learning strategy on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students on science learning content at Gunung Sari 1 elementary school, Rappocini District, Makassar City. The independent variable in this study is the crossword puzzle learning strategy, while the dependent variable is the student learning outcomes in science learning content. The population and sample in this study were fourth grade students of Gunung Sari 1 elementary school, Rappocini District, Makassar City, with a total of 26 students. The research data obtained by giving a test of learning outcomes on the theme of caring for living things, sub-themes of animals and plants in my home environment in the form of pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the pretest score is in this good category because the mean value of overall learning outcomes is 80.19 while from the posttest it is also in the good category because based on the overall mean value of learning outcomes is 83.27 while The results of inferential statistical analysis after the normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test with pretest and posttest data are normally distributed and the results of hypothesis testing using the paired sample T-test whose probability value is 0.000 <0.05, which means that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected because the test criteria are if the probability value greater than the significance level of 0.05, Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, in other words, the pretest and posttest data have a significant difference. It can be concluded that the crossword puzzle learning strategy has a significant effect on the fourth grade learning outcomes of science learning content at SDN Gunung Sari 1 Rappocini District Makassar City.                                          Keywords: learning strategies, crossword puzzle, learning outcomes

Abstract

The problem behind this research is the low reading literacy skills of students in grade 1 A UPT SPF SDN KIP V Bara-Baraya Makassar City. This study aims to describe the use of Flash Card media to improve early reading literacy skills of grade 1 A UPT SPF SDN KIP V Bara-Baraya Makassar City students. The research used is classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles, each cycle consists of 4 meetings with the stages of activities in the form of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The focus of this research is the use of Flash Card media to improve students' early reading literacy skills. The research subjects were students of class 1 A UPT SPF SDN KIP V Bara-Baraya Makassar City in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year, totaling 16 students. Data collection techniques in this study used tests, observations, and documentation. The collection instrument qualitatively used an observation sheet and quantitatively used a preliminary reading skill test. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative descriptive data analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in early reading literacy skills in the learning process, as evidenced by the class average score of the pre-action was in the sufficient category (C), in the first cycle it increased but was still in the sufficient category (C) while in the second cycle experienced an increase and was in the good category (B). The improvement is based on the process of early reading literacy skills using Flash Card media so that the early reading literacy skills of grade 1 A UPT SPF SDN KIP V Bara-Baraya Makassar City students can increase.

Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of experimental research in the form of Quasi Experimental Design. This study aims to: (1) find out the description of the use of word cards in class 1 of SD Inpres Barombong II, Tamalate District, Makassar City, (2) find out how to describe initial reading skills using Word Card media for grade 1 SD Inpres Barombong II, Tamalate District. Makassar City, (3) found a significant effect of the use of word card media on the beginning reading skills of grade 1 Inpres Barombong II Elementary School, Tamalate District, Makassar City. The independent variable in this study was word card media while the dependent variable was reading skills. The population in this study were all grade 1 students of SD Inpres Barombong II, Tamalate District, Makassar City totaling 2 classes of 38 students, while the sample was class I A students totaling 21 students as an experimental class, then class IB as a control class totaling 17 students. The data collection technique used in this study was observation of the implementation of the learning process, reading tests were carried out twice, namely pretest and posttest and documentation in the form of learning tools and research documents. Research data analysis techniques using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis, it showed that the reading skills of the experimental class students differed from those of the control class. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of using word card media on students' initial reading skills. This is proven because there is a significant difference between the experimental class using word card media and the control class that does not use word card media.

Abstract

This research discusses the effect of the application of the problem based learning model on the science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of UPT SDN 104 Tontonan. This type of research is an experimental research using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The independent variable in this study is a problem based learning model. The dependent variable in this study is the student's natural science learning outcomes. The population used is all students of class V as many as 17 students and using a sampling technique that is saturated sample. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, observations, and documentation. The instrument used in this research is multiple choice questions, totaling 15 questions. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the description of the application of the problem based learning model at the first meeting was running effectively and the second meeting was running very effectively. The achievement of learning outcomes shows an increase when using the problem based learning model, this is proven by the posttest average value being higher than the pretest average value. The results of hypothesis testing using Paired Sample t-test showed a significant value less than 0.05 and the results of T Count > T Table, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means that the application of the problem based learning model has an effect on the science learning outcomes of 5th grade students at UPT SDN 104 Tontonan,  Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency.

Abstract

This research examines the following problems: (1) How is the description of the classroom management of SDN 156 students in Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency? How is the learning motivation of SDN 156 students in Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency? (3) Is there a relationship between classroom management and student motivation at SDN 156, Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency? The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) To determine the description of the classroom management of SDN 156 students, Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency; (2) To determine the learning motivation of students of SDN 156, Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency; (3) To find out whether there is a relationship between classroom management and student motivation at SDN 156, Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency. This research approach is quantitative with the type of ex-postfacto research. This research design is correlational. The sample selection in this study using purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The normality test used the KolmogrovSmirnov Normality Test with the results of a questionnaire that was normally distributed. Hypothesis testing uses 2 methods, namely the correlation test and the coefficient of determination test. An overview of the class management of SDN 156 students in Kalaena district, East Luwu district, is in the Hight category. As for the description of student learning motivation when it is in the sufficient category too. The conclusion of the study shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between classroom management and student motivation in SDN 156, Kalaena District, East Luwu Regency.

Abstract

This research aim to find out the effect of Think,Talk,Write (TTW) Learning Model Toward On Ability to Solve Math Story Questions in IV grade at SD Negeri Tidung Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. The Problem of this research were (1) How was the description of implementation Think,Talk,Write (TTW) Learning Model ? (2) What was the extend of the effect of Think,Talk,Write (TTW) Learning Model Toward On Ability to Solve Math Story Questions?. The purpose of this research were (1) to know the description of implementation Think,Talk,Write (TTW) Learning Model (2) to know the extend of the effect of Think,Talk,Write (TTW) Learning Model Toward On Ability to Solve Math Story Questions. The approach used in this research was quantitative  with the type of experimental  research. The research design used quasi experiment. The research variables consist of independent variables were Think, Talk, Write (TTW) learning models and the dependent variable was the ability to solve Math Story Questions. Data collection techniques using tests, observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that: (1) The implementation of Think, Talk, Write (TTW) models on teacher observation activities took place very effectively and observations of student activities took place effectively. (2) Think, Talk, Write (TTW) learning model significantly influences the ability to solve Math Story Questions for IV grade students of SD Negeri Tidung Rappocini District, Makassar City. The effect can be seen from the differences in posttest results between the control group and the experimental group. The conclusion in this research was the use of Think, Talk, Write (TTW) learning model there is significant influence Toward On Ability to Solve Math Story Questions in Fourth Grade in SD Negeri Tidung Rappocini District, Makassar City

Abstract

This study is an experimental study that aims to see whether there is an effect of using video media on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects for class IV SD Negeri 91 Soreang. The research design used is the None Equivalent Control Design. The independent variable of this research is video media. The dependent variable is learning outcomes. The study population was 36 students with 21 males and 15 females consisting of two classes. The sampling technique used is purpose sampling. The instrument that the researcher uses is in the form of multiple choice questions, totaling 20 questions. Data collection techniques are tests, observations and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using independent sample T-test. The results of the hypothesis test showed that video media had an effect on learning outcomes. The application of video media in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 91 Soreang is in the very good category. Student learning outcomes in social studies subjects in the control and experimental classes were in the good category. The conclusion of this study is that video media has an effect on social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students of SD Negeri 91 Soreang.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low success in expressing income experienced by students in the learning process. From these problems, there is a goal to be achieved in the research, namely the application of a moral reasoning model to increase the courage to express opinions in class V at SDN 047 Inpres Baurung, Polewali Mandar Regency. The approach used is a qualitative approach and this type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles and each cycle is carried out in two meetings. The stages of activities carried out include the planning stage, the implementation stage, the observation stage, and the reflection stage. Data collection techniques and procedures used are observation and documentation. The subjects of this study were class V teachers and 22 students consisting of 10 boys and 12 girls. The data analysis used is quantitative and descriptive qualitative. The results showed that there was an increase in teacher activity The first cycle of the first meeting was in the adequate category and the second meeting was in the sufficient category while in the second cycle the first meeting was in the good categoryand the second meeting was in the good category and in the first cycle of student learning activities the first meeting was in the less category and the second meeting was in the sufficient category while in the second cycle the first meeting was in the good category and the second meeting was in the good category. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the moral reasoning model can increase the courage to express students' opinions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) To describe the application of movie learning strategies to learning class IV UPT SPF SD Negeri III Sudirman Kecamatan Ujung Pandang Kota Makassar. (2) To describe the picture of learning motivation in student’s class IV UPT SPF SD Negeri III Sudirman Kecamatan Ujung Pandang Kota Makassar. (3) To find out whether there is an influence of the application of movie learning strategies on student learning motivation class IV UPT SPF SD Negeri III Sudirman Kecamatan Ujung Pandang Kota Makassar. The method is  experimental research using quasi-experimental design and quantative approaches.  The population in this study was all class IV UPT SPF SD Negeri III Sudirman Kecamatan Ujung Pandang Kota Makassar with a total of 53 students, while the sample was students of the IVA class as an experimental class with 27 students and class IVB as a control class with 26 students. The research data was obtained by providing a learning motivation questionnaire in the form of pre-test and post-test as well as an observation sheet for the implementation of movie learning strategies. Data analysis techniques are descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the help of the IMB SPSS statistics version program. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of movie learning strategies can increase student learning motivation class students IV UPT SPF SD Negeri Sudirman III Kecamatan Ujung Pandang Kota Makassar.

Abstract

This research conducted of the problems found in elementary school related to writing skills, there are still some students who have difficulty in writing narrative essays. The purpose of this research is to know the description of flashcard media implementation, to know the description of students narrative essay writing skills, and to determine the effect of using flashcard media on narrative essay writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students of UPT SDN Unggulan Bontomanai. The type of research conducted in this research is quantitative experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design, with pretest, treatment, and posttest stages. . The population and sample in this study were fifth grade students of UPT SDN Unggulan Bontomanai, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency with a total of 54 students and determined by simple random sampling technique with a sample of 48 students. The data were using the writing skills test, observation sheets and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the use ofmedia flashcard at the first meeting was sufficient with a percentage of 64% and at the second meeting it went very well with a percentage of 89%. The improvement of students' narrative writing skills in the experimental group was 42% and the control group was 4%. The results of inferential analysis used independent sample t-test showed a probability value of 0.00 < significance level of 0.05 and T count of 5.675 > Ttable of 2.012. So it can be concluded that there is a effect on the use of flashcard media on the narrative essay writing skills of the fifth grade students of UPT SDN Unggulan Bontomanai, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency.
