Abstract

This study explores how consumers interpret green marketing efforts and how these interpretations shape their perceptions of environmental responsibility and brand value. The topic is important because growing environmental concerns and rising consumer demand for sustainability require companies to communicate their ecological initiatives clearly and authentically. However, issues such as greenwashing and vague environmental claims continue to create skepticism, making it necessary to understand how consumers assess the credibility of such messages. Using qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, this research investigates the cognitive, emotional, and social processes involved in consumer evaluations of green marketing. The findings indicate that authenticity, clarity, and evidence-based communication are essential for building consumer awareness and trust. Consumers respond positively to brands that demonstrate transparent, measurable environmental commitments and negatively to those perceived as exaggerating or misrepresenting sustainability claims. The study also reveals that emotional and ethical resonance strengthens brand loyalty, while social media discourse influences perceptions of credibility. These results highlight the importance of integrating environmental responsibility into brand strategy and ensuring transparent communication to enhance brand value. Overall, the research emphasizes that authentic sustainability practices are crucial for shaping informed, trusting, and loyal consumers.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of employee empowerment and job crafting on work performance within service industries adopting modern management practices. Using a quantitative research design and survey data from 350 service employees, the study examines the direct effects of empowerment and job crafting on performance, as well as the mediating role of job crafting in the empowerment–performance relationship. The results show that employee empowerment significantly enhances work performance and strongly predicts job crafting behaviors. Job crafting also demonstrates a substantial positive effect on performance, highlighting its strategic importance as a proactive work behavior that enables employees to adapt their roles to organizational demands. Mediation analysis confirms that job crafting partially mediates the relationship between empowerment and performance, indicating that empowered employees are more likely to redesign their work in ways that enhance effectiveness. These findings contribute to the integration of empowerment theory and job crafting frameworks, offering theoretical insights and practical implications for improving employee adaptability, motivation, and productivity in service organizations. The study emphasizes the need for empowerment-oriented leadership and organizational support for proactive job redesign practices to foster a resilient and high-performing workforce.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of corporate governance mechanisms on strategic risk management (SRM) and firm performance, with SRM examined as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from managerial-level respondents across firms operating in dynamic and high-risk environments. The results reveal that board independence and board expertise significantly enhance SRM practices, underscoring the role of effective oversight and domain knowledge in shaping strategic responses to risk. SRM is also found to have a strong positive effect on firm performance, demonstrating its strategic value in improving organizational resilience and competitive advantage. However, board independence, board expertise, and board size show no direct effect on firm performance, indicating that governance mechanisms influence outcomes primarily through risk management processes rather than direct governance intervention. Board size also exhibits no significant relationship with SRM, suggesting that capability and functional effectiveness matter more than structural characteristics. Furthermore, SRM significantly mediates the relationships between board independence and firm performance, and between board expertise and firm performance, confirming its role as a crucial conduit through which governance affects organizational results. Overall, the findings reinforce the importance of aligning governance quality with strategic risk practices to enhance firm performance in increasingly unpredictable business environments.

Abstract

This research explores the effect of hybrid learning on students' Grade Point Average (GPA) in the Management Study Program at Makassar State University, with interpersonal communication as an intervening variable. The Covid-19 pandemic has forced educational institutions to adapt to new learning methods, combining face-to-face and online learning. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the hybrid learning model in increasing GPA and identify the role of interpersonal communication in this process. Through a quantitative approach with descriptive methods, data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to active students from the 2021 to 2024 classes. The research results show that hybrid learning significantly increases students' GPA, and the effectiveness of interpersonal communication is proven to mediate the relationship between hybrid learning and increasing GPA. These findings emphasize the importance of clear and responsive communication in supporting the learning process, as well as encouraging the development of better communication strategies to achieve optimal academic results.
