Abstract

The Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Learners project is a project-based learning that is implemented to achieve the profile of Pancasila learners, namely faith, devotion to God Almighty and noble character, mutual cooperation, independence, global diversity, critical reasoning, and creativity. These dimensions indicate that the Pancasila learner profile does not only focus on the cognitive domain, but also instills attitudes and behaviors that are in accordance with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila learner profile strengthening project (P5) in Islamic religious education and ethics subjects to foster students' mutual cooperation and independent characters and factors that hinder its implementation. This research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type and a field research approach. Research data were collected using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis uses interactive techniques of Milles and Huberman, and Saldana models which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification or conclusion drawing, then testing data validity using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study revealed that i) The development of students' mutual cooperation character is carried out through the formation of activity groups as an effort to strengthen student cooperation in making waste banks, regarding this matter, all students work together to clean the school environment. ii) The development of students' independent character is shown by the continuation of student behavior after making a waste bank, namely students independently dispose of garbage in its place. iii) Factors inhibiting student character development such as the habit of littering behavior, differences in individual character, lack of supervision and guidance from educators and education personnel, and the non-implementation of sanctions for violators.

Abstract

Gender equality is one of the main pillars in the sustainable development goals. Gender inequality is still a problem, especially in access to education, employment opportunities, and participation in decision-making. This study aims to analyze the effect of poverty rate, economic growth, high school enrollment rate, illiteracy rate, labor force participation rate, and early marriage on gender development index and gender empowerment index. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression of panel data. The results showed that partially, only the poverty rate variable had a significant effect on the gender empowerment index. Meanwhile, simultaneously, all independent variables have a significant effect on the gender empowerment index. This finding indicates that gender empowerment is affected by various socioeconomic factors collectively. The implications of these results indicate the importance of integrated multisectoral policies to promote women's empowerment through poverty reduction, increased access to education, and prevention of early marriage.

Abstract

Creative reasoning and cognitive load management are two essential aspects in learning mathematics because they directly affect students' ability to understand concepts, develop solving strategies, and produce innovative solutions to mathematical problems. This study aims to explore the relationship between extraneous cognitive load and creative reasoning ability of elementary school students in solving geometry problems.  This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects were 27 elementary school students who have learned the material of building space. Data were collected through extraneous cognitive load questionnaire, mathematical creative reasoning test, and interviews. Data analysis was done descriptively and thematically with reference to three indicators of creative reasoning, namely mathematical foundation, plausibility, and novelty, as well as five indicators of extraneous cognitive load: split attention, redundancy, transiency, advanced learner, and inadequate prior knowledge. The results showed that the higher the extraneous cognitive load experienced by students, the lower the creative reasoning score they achieved. Students with low extraneous cognitive load were able to understand information, develop logical strategies, and produce original solutions. In contrast, students with high extraneous cognitive load had difficulty understanding instructions, made mistakes in choosing strategies, and did not show flexible thinking skills. These findings reinforce the importance of learning design that takes into account students' cognitive working capacity. The implication of this research leads to the importance of teachers designing geometry lessons that have minimal instructional load, using effective visual media, and composing questions that are in accordance with students' abilities so that the creative thinking process can develop optimally.

Abstract

The amaliyah tadris program is implemented to identify and develop the competence of teachers or ustadz early on, through learning practices carried out by students. This is important to improve the quality of teaching in modern boarding schools, which has a direct effect on the progress of santri (student) education. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of amaliyah tadris activities as a teacher education provision program for santri. The research method in this study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection in this study used observation, interview and documentation techniques, data analysis in this study used Miles & Huberman interactive analysis techniques which included data collection, data condensation, data presentation and verification or conclusion drawing, checking the validity of the data in this study using triangulation techniques. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of amaliyah tadris activities is effective in building the pedagogical competence of santri as prospective educators. This activity succeeds in preparing santri well through a combination of knowledge, theory, and direct practice, so that they can be better prepared to become ustadz or teachers in the future. Significantly, amaliyah tadris activities also contribute to honing the mentality of santri as educators, improving their ability to use foreign languages (Arabic and English) in learning, and strengthening their skills in managing discussions and responding more actively to learning dynamics. This implication shows that amaliyah tadris not only equips santri with knowledge, but also prepares them practically to carry out their role as professional educators. The new finding of this study is that amaliyah tadris activities not only serve as theoretical provision, but also equip santri with practical skills in managing learning that involves the use of foreign languages and increased interaction with learners.
