Abstract

Education is the most important pillar of national development, and innovation of learning methods is the key to improving the quality of education. Currently, the development of information technology has a great impact on the world of education. As the use of technology in learning increases, there is a growing need to assess the effectiveness of technology on student learning outcomes. Quizizz is one of the popular platforms that incorporates gaming elements in learning, offering various features such as interactive online quizzes This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Quizizz platform as a tool for evaluating students' learning outcomes. The method used by the author in this study is a literature study method where the author collects various library data sourced from journals that have been indexed by Sinta. Based on the results of the analysis, the use of the Quizizz platform is very helpful and makes it easier for educators to carry out online-based evaluations. With easy access anywhere and anytime, flexibility and efficiency that is unlimited by space and time. And with all the complex features that have been presented by Quizizz, in fact, it has been able to improve the results of student evaluations, while still upholding integrity and honesty as intellectuals. From the literature analysis, it was found that the utilization of Quizizz as a learning evaluation tool offers advantages in interactivity, flexibility, and user-friendliness. Features such as avatars, music, and rankings enhance student engagement. Although challenges such as technological readiness and security concerns exist, efforts such as technology training can help address them.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is: to see the development of students' collaboration skills in learning mathematics through the Lesson Study approach in the Mathematics Education Study Program. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Halu Oleo University, who were enrolled in the Kapita Selecta Mathematics course. The implementation of this research consists of 3 cycles, and each cycle consists of 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The method used in this research consists of 3 stages, namely plan, do, and see. Data collection techniques in this study include two kinds of instruments, namely the main instrument and supporting instruments. The data analysis technique follows the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana analysis model, consisting of three activities that occur simultaneously: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of this research is the development of students' collaboration skills in learning mathematics through Lesson Study approach in Mathematics Education Study Program. Generally, there is an increase in student learning outcomes in mathematics learning with the Lesson study approach, namely for Cycle 1, average 83.0; Cycle 2, average 78.0; and Cycle 3; average 85.0.

Abstract

The development of school video profiles is not just a trend, but an urgent need in an increasingly competitive and technology-based world of education. The purpose of this research is to create a video profile of one of the PAUD Muhammadiyah schools in Kendari City. The Villamil-Molina method is divided into five phases: development, preproduction, production, post production, and delivery. The video profile developed by the school has been qualified to be a school promotion medium with results as a 2 minute 45 second video in MP4 format and has been saved on google drive. Based on the information expert test, an average score of 88.33% can be interpreted as indicating that the information presented in this profile video is already in line with the conditions of the school. The information shown in this video is the school vision, school mission, school facilities, and the number of teachers and educators. The media expert test results obtained an average percentage score of 85.75% that can be interpreted that the video of the school profile developed is well qualified and meets media evaluation indicators that focus on text and image synthesis, video quality, video presentation, and video editing techniques.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to find out whether the Transformational Leadership Style of School Principals influences the Performance of State Vocational School Teachers in Bireuen Regency (2) to find out whether Work Discipline influences Teacher Performance. State Vocational School teacher in Bireuen Regency. (3) find out whether Job Satisfaction influences the performance of State Vocational School teachers in Bireuen Regency (4) determine the simultaneous influence of the Principal's Transformational Leadership Style, Work Discipline, Job Satisfaction on the Performance of State Vocational School Teachers in Bireuen Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach method, a population of 227 people with a sample of 145 people with a proportional random sampling technique using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, data collection techniques likert scale questionnaires and multiple linear regression analysis data processing techniques using SPSS 25. Hypothesis testing results Research using the t test shows that there is no significant influence of transformational leadership style on the performance of State Vocational School teachers in Bireuen Regency. This is indicated by the calculated t value < t table (1.436 < 1.976) and with a significant value of 0.153 > 0.05. Meanwhile, there is a significant influence of work discipline on the performance of State Vocational School teachers in Bireuen Regency. This is shown by the calculated t value > t table (3.477 > 1.976) and with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, teacher job satisfaction influences the performance of State Vocational School teachers in Bireuen Regency with a calculated t value > t table (3.483 > 1.976) and with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. And the results of the f test show that there is a significant influence of transformational leadership style, work discipline and teacher job satisfaction on the performance of State Vocational School teachers in Bireuen Regency. The calculated f value > f table (32.052 > 2.668) with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that improving teacher discipline must be further improved, in order to increase teacher performance scores.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: (1) Describe the mathematical problem-solving skills of SMK Negeri 2 Kendari grade X students who are taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model with assistance from Geogebra; and (2) ascertain the impact of the Problem Based Learning learning model with assistance from Geogebra on the mathematical problem-solving skills of SMK Negeri 2 Kendari grade X students. The participants in this study were all SMK Negeri 2 Kendari grade X students enrolled in the 2022–2023 academic year. The experimental class in this study was the X TMA class, and the control class was the X TM B class. The findings demonstrated that: (1) the experimental class students' mathematical problem-solving ability, taught using the Geogebra-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model, are in the following categories: excellent, comprising up to 8 students with a percentage of 29.6%; good, comprising up to 9 students with a percentage of 33.3%; sufficient, comprising 6 students with a percentage of 22.2%; poor, comprising up to 3 students with a percentage of 11.1%; and very poor, comprising 1 student with a percentage of 3.7%. The analysis's findings lead to the conclusion that, when it comes to the two-variable linear inequality system, the experimental class's descriptive mathematical problem-solving ability, which was taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model in conjunction with Geogebra, outperformed that of the control class, which was taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model alone. The value of t hitung = 2.591 was acquired from the hypothesis testing findings. It is evident that when tcount is high, H0 is disproved. In summary, students taught using the Geogebra-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model had an average greater level of mathematical problem solving skill than students taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model.

Abstract

It is not enough for learners to be knowledgeable, but they must also have critical thinking skills. The problem in the research comes from the lack of critical thinking skills of class VIII-A students in Civics subjects at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Kamal. Students tend to be passive, lack of understanding of the material, lack of courage in expressing opinions or questions about the subject matter taught. This problem requires a flipped classroom learning model that aims to test the effectiveness of the learning model on students' critical thinking. This type of research uses exploratory with a quantitative approach. The data analysis shows that the application of the flipped classroom model has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills. The results of hypothesis testing in this study also resulted in H1 being accepted and obtained a value of 6.265> 2.042, so the t-count > t-table hypothesis formulated in this study is accepted, which means that the flipped classroom learning model is effective on students' critical thinking skills. The results in this study show the effectiveness of this learning model is supported by the flipped classroom learning model in Civics subjects can create learning in the classroom more actively and can encourage students to think critically optimally. In addition, it helps teachers in learning in the classroom more effectively so that it facilitates the process of evaluating learning on students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education as a human effort to grow and develop talents and potentials that are owned from birth. To understand science, mathematics education needs to be mastered by students to help them digest the sciences that will come later at a higher level. Based on data released by Worldtop20.org, Indonesia's education ranking in 2023 is ranked 67th out of 203 countries in the world, this shows that interest in learning in Indonesia is still relatively low. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the TGT (Team Games Tournament) model assisted by Photomath interactive learning media on Algebra material. The results of descriptive statistics show that the application of the TGT (Team Games Tournament) learning model assisted by Photomath interactive learning media on Algebra material has met the indicators of completeness. It can be concluded that math learning is efficient from the implementation of the TGT (Team Games Tournament) model assisted by Photomath interactive learning media on Algebra material in class VII-A SMP Negeri 1 Socah which is observed through student learning outcomes, student responses, and student activities. This can be seen through the results of data analysis which overall reached a value of ≥75 or can be said to exceed the target set.

Abstract

The development of school profile videos is becoming an increasingly essential aspect of technology. Making a school profile video is an effort to convey information about educational institutions, including academic programmes, facilities, and student life in an attractive visual form. The purpose of this research is to create a video profile of SMP Nusantara Kendari. The research method used is the Villamil-Molina method. The stages in the Villamil-Molina method are divided into five parts, namely development, preproduction, production, post production, and delivery. SMP Nusantara Kendari profile video The school profile video has been developed according to the Villamil-Molina method and produced a video with a duration of 3 minutes 14 seconds. This school profile video consists of information on facilities and infrastructure, number of teachers, learning activities and school excellence. The results of the media expert test obtained an average percentage value of 78.33% which can be interpreted that the school profile video developed is feasible and meets the media assessment indicators that focus on the integration of text and images, video shooting quality, video presentation, and video editing techniques.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges of teaching geometry in Indonesian secondary schools by developing innovative instructional materials that integrate Islamic Art and scouting methods. This research adopts an Educational Design Research approach, focusing on the final assessment phase to develop and test geometry learning tools in junior high schools. These tools include modules, teaching materials, and student worksheets that incorporate Islamic Art from local mosques in Kendari City and employ the scouting method, which emphasizes experiential learning and group collaboration. The study demonstrates that integrating Islamic Art and scouting methods enhances students' competencies in alignment with the Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P3) program, which aims to develop character traits such as faith, global diversity, independence, cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity. Field testing in two schools showed that students using these materials achieved high average scores across all P3 indicators, affirming the approach's effectiveness. This research highlights the potential of context-based, culturally relevant instructional materials to improve geometry education and foster essential character traits in students. Future studies should further explore broader applications of these methods to validate their effectiveness in diverse educational settings.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively, especially in mathematics, is highly needed today for the development of science in the 21st century. However, many Indonesian students still find it difficult to develop creativity in solving problems related to relations and functions. This research aims to identify the level of creative thinking ability of eighth-grade students at SMPN 5 Kendari in the material of relations and functions. The methodology used is qualitative. The instrument used is 4 essay questions on mathematical creative thinking ability in the material of relations and functions. These questions include indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The results of the study show that most of the eighth-grade A students have good fluency skills, but their flexibility skills still need to be improved. Originality and elaboration skills are also still very low. Meanwhile, the level of mathematical creative thinking ability of eighth-grade A students at SMP Negeri 5 Kendari is in the medium category with 21 students (70%). Based on the results of the above descriptions, it shows that students' mathematical creative thinking abilities based on the distribution of questions are not fully owned and need to be improved.
