Abstract

The acceleration of industrial and economic growth, along with increasing population mobility, has contributed to the continuous expansion of business activities each year. This development pushes companies in Indonesia to advance toward industrialization, often resulting in extended working hours to meet production demands. Consequently, work fatigue has become a common issue in industrial environments, influenced by various factors, including external environmental conditions. This study aims to analyze the relationship between external environmental factors and work fatigue among production workers at PT X. The research employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The study involved 49 respondents from the erema production unit. Data were collected through interviews using the IFRC questionnaire to measure subjective fatigue levels, complemented by direct workplace observations. Bivariate analysis was conducted using binary logistic regression, while multivariate analysis employed ordinal logistic regression. The results indicated that environmental temperature and lighting significantly affected work fatigue, whereas working hours, workload, humidity, and noise showed no significant relationship. Among all variables, lighting was identified as the most dominant factor associated with work fatigue (p-value = 0.011; P < 0.05)

Abstract

According to secondary data from the WHO and the Ministry of Health, Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the diseases with a high prevalence. Airports are convergence points for people from various regions and countries, making them high-risk locations for transmitting infectious diseases like TB. Therefore, primary prevention is needed to increase public knowledge at airports, particularly among porters, drivers, and cleaning service staff, which can be achieved through health promotion related to TB. Objective: To determine the influence of health promotion using booklet media about tuberculosis on the knowledge level of porters, drivers, and cleaning service staff at the Tjilik Riwut Airport post, working area of Health Quarantine Center Class II, Palangka Raya. Methods: This research employed a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest type. The sample consisted of 47 porters, drivers, and cleaning service staff at the Tjilik Riwut Airport post, selected through accidental sampling. The data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The Wilcoxon test results showed a p-value of 0.000 (p< 0.05), indicating a significant effect of health promotion about tuberculosis using booklet media on the knowledge level of porters, drivers, and cleaning service staff at the Tjilik Riwut Airport post, working area of Health Quarantine Center Class II Palangka Raya. Conclusion: This research concluded that health promotion using booklet media was proven effective in increasing the knowledge of porters, drivers, and cleaning service staff, as it encouraged workers to actively engage in literacy and information sharing actively, thereby enabling them to solve problems. It was recommended that partnerships be established with health facilities for the routine provision of health promotion regarding tuberculosis.

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) negatively impacts maternal and fetal health, causing risks such as low birth weight and impaired fetal growth. Key contributors include inadequate nutrient intake and limited household food availability. To assess the relationship between nutrient adequacy and household food availability with CED risk in pregnant women at Pataruman Health Center. A cross-sectional study involved 60 pregnant women from Citapen Village selected by simple random sampling. Independent variables were nutrient adequacy (energy, protein, carbohydrate intake) and household food availability, with CED incidence as the dependent variable. Data were collected via questionnaires and anthropometric measurements and analyzed using multiple logistic regression. Normal pre-pregnancy BMI significantly reduced CED risk (OR = 0.14; 95% CI: 0.03–0.77; p = 0.020). Adequate energy intake lowered CED risk by 93% (OR = 0.07; 95% CI: 0.01–0.53; p = 0.005), and sufficient protein intake also provided protection (OR = 0.26; 95% CI: 0.08–0.84; p = 0.005). Food-secure households showed lower CED risk (OR = 0.08; 95% CI: 0.02–0.40; p = 0.001). Carbohydrate adequacy was not significantly associated with CED (OR = 2.6; 95% CI: 0.4–11.7; p = 0.230) but acted as a confounder. No significant interaction effects were found among variables. Adequate pre-pregnancy BMI, energy and protein intake, and household food security protect against CED. Carbohydrate intake should be accounted for as a confounding factor. These findings support integrated nutrition and food security interventions to enhance maternal health.

Abstract

Work stress is one of the factors that influence the decline in performance of healthcare workers. Stress coping, as an adaptation mechanism to work pressure, plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality of healthcare services, particularly in remote areas such as the Seba Community Health Center in Sabu Raijua Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 50 healthcare workers selected by simple random sampling from a population of 101. Data were collected using a stress coping and performance questionnaire, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 0.05. Most respondents used emotion-focused coping strategies (58%), while the remainder used problem-focused coping (42%). Healthcare workers' performance was generally in the fair (56%) and good (44%) categories. Statistical test results showed a significant relationship between stress coping and performance (p= 0.004). The findings indicate that healthcare workers who use problem- focused coping tend to have better performance. Active and solution-oriented coping strategies support work effectiveness amidst work pressure, compared to strategies that only focus on emotional control.

Abstract

Delays in submitting reimbursement claims for chronic drug result in deferred payments, adversely affecting hospital cash flow. This financial strain leads to delays in employee compensation and challenges in ensuring adequate chronic drug availability for patients. This study aims to analyze how chronic drug claim processing delays impact the quality of healthcare services delivered by hospitals. This study utilizes a systematic literature review methodology, searching the PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases for publications from 2015-2025. The search strategy employs the following keywords: "chronic drug claims delay," "healthcare service quality," "chronic medication reimbursement," "hospital cash flow," and "pharmaceutical claims processing." The literature selection process follows the PRISMA guidelines. Based on the analysis of six selected articles, this study identifies the multidimensional impact of delayed chronic drug claims on hospital healthcare service quality across four key dimensions: Competency Dimension:delayed claims create hospital revenue instability, which adversely affects funding for human resource development and staff competency training programs. Service Effectiveness Dimension: claim processing delays necessitate changes in hospital budget allocation and strategic planning policies, resulting in suboptimal service delivery. Safety Dimension:delayed reimbursements lead to medication shortages, causing delays in providing essential chronic medications to patients and potentially compromising patient safety. Service Comfort Dimension:claims processing delays negatively impact pharmaceutical inventory management, affecting medication availability and overall patient comfort during treatment. Conclusion: Based on the analysis of six research articles published between 2015-2025, delayed chronic drug claims significantly impact hospital healthcare service quality across multiple dimensions, including competency, service effectiveness, safety, and service comfort.
