Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of character education according to Imam Al-Ghazali, as well as its relevance in the context of education in Indonesia today. The research method used is a literature study by collecting and analysing written sources, such as books, journals, and scientific papers on Al-Ghazali's thoughts on character education. The results show that Al-Ghazali defines character education as the formation of morals through good habits instilled from an early age. He emphasised the importance of character education that is oriented towards getting closer to Allah SWT and achieving happiness in this world and the hereafter. The methods recommended by Al-Ghazali include giving examples, training, and habituation, as well as advice that has high psychological weight. The implementation of character education is expected to produce individuals with good character and spiritual toughness. In conclusion, character education initiated by Al-Ghazali can be a solution in shaping a whole person, faithful, and morally good.

Abstract

In science learning, scientific literacy has a very important role because it prepares students who are qualified, reliable and able to compete internationally. To be able to create and develop scientific literacy in science learning, teachers need to create learning conditions that involve student activity. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of scientific literacy in science learning in elementary schools. The methods used in this research are literature review/literature study and field observations and interviews. Data processing and analysis was carried out qualitatively with descriptive explanation. It is known that the results of this research are that the implementation of scientific literacy can develop students' thought patterns and behavior and build human character to care, be responsible for themselves, society, the universe and the problems faced by modern society today. Scientific literacy also has an important role in building the welfare of society now and in the future.

Abstract

This article discusses effective strategies for building a successful career as an out-of-school educator. This article identifies several important qualities and skills that successful out-of-school educators should possess, such as a passion for the outdoors, the ability to teach and mentor others, and good communication skills. This article also discusses the importance of networking with other professionals in the field of out-of-school education and engaging in ongoing professional development.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the First Principle of Pancasila at Budisatrya Medan High School in shaping student character. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews with students and teachers. The research results show that the implementation of the First Principle of Pancasila at Budisatrya Medan High School is quite effective in shaping student character. This can be seen from students' habits of praying, participating in religious activities, and trying to act honestly, fairly, and responsibly. The school has also carried out various programs to implement the First Principle of Pancasila, such as express Islamic boarding schools, congregational prayers in prayer rooms, providing religious extracurricular activities, and providing prayer rooms for Muslim students.

Abstract

Educational goals are goals to be achieved through comprehensive educational efforts. In the educational process at school, learning activities are the most basic activities. This means that the success or failure of achieving educational goals depends a lot on how the learning process is experienced by students as students. Processes are activities carried out by students to achieve teaching goals, while learning outcomes or better known as achievements are the abilities that students have after receiving their learning experience. This research aims to find out what causes the low assignment scores of students at SMPN 13 MEDAN. The method we use is qualitative research, where this research requires going directly into the field and requires clear factual data by relying on several sources of informants to confirm the previous analysis.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the problems found in science learning at SDS AT-TAUFIQ Medan. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through interviews. The results of this research show that there are still many problems related to science learning at Attaufiq Medan Private Elementary School. The basic problem is the lack of motivation and enthusiasm of students in the learning process. The lack of facilities and infrastructure is also a problem in science learning at SDS At-Taufiq Medan. By making innovations such as applying learning media, you can create a comfortable and enjoyable learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of teachers in encouraging student innovation through project-based learning methods in junior high school. This study uses a descriptive research approach to understand the experiences and views of teachers and students. The data used is qualitative data. The subjects of this research are Madrasah teachers, namely junior high schools, namely MTsS SA Al-Mukarrim. Data collection techniques and instruments through interviews, observations, and document studies. Based on the research, the findings show that teachers have an important role as facilitators, mentors and supervisors in the learning process. Teachers encourage students to experiment, identify problems, and design problem solving. The application of learning approaches is very effective for teachers in developing students' creativity, critical thinking, and innovation through project-based learning methods.

Abstract

Education in elementary schools (SD) seeks to build students' social and moral character in addition to their academic skills. The Scout movement is one of the extracurricular activities that have a significant impact on character development. This research aims to examine how Scout activities are carried out at SDN 050712 Hinai Kiri, including elements of activity planning, implementation, and assessment. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data obtained through interviews, observation, and literature review. The results of the research show that overall the implementation of Scout activities at SDN 050712 Hinai Kiri went well. Scout extracurricular activities at SDN ‎‎050712 Hinai Kiri are packaged in an interesting way and make a positive contribution to the world of education. However, there are several obstacles in implementing Scout activities at SDN 050712 Hinai Kiri, namely the difficulty of scout leaders in leading classes, the program not running, and the low level of student discipline in participating in Scout activities. It is believed that the findings of this research will help schools and other related parties in improving program standards and effectiveness

Abstract

Health habbit development (healthy living habits) is healthy behavior that is carried out repeatedly without going through a thought process because this behavior is a response to something that is generally an everyday action. The aim of developing healthy habits is to improve the quality of life and individual well-being through implementing a healthy lifestyle. This coaching covers various aspects, such as a balanced diet, regular physical activity, adequate sleep, stress management and personal hygiene. This research examines how health habits are fostered at the Vania Anak Indonesia Orphanage Jln. Captain M. Jamil Lubis, Medan Estate, Deli Serdang, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra 20371. The aim of this research is to find out what the healthy living habits of orphanage children at the Indonesian Vania Anak Orphanage are. This research uses a qualitative approach and a case study type of research. The subjects of the research were orphanage managers. This research data was collected using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data is processed by data reduction, data presentation, as well as conclusions and verification. The results of the research show that the implementation of healthy living habits in Indonesian children's orphanages has not been implemented well, therefore the research team was present to provide guidance on health habits (Healthy Living Habits).

Abstract

Frequent emergence of problems faced by students in social studies learning activities problems experienced by students caused by many factors, both internal and external factors. Social studies learning at the junior secondary level is given or presented in an integrated manner to be more easily understood and learned by students. Because social studies is an integration of several branches of social sciences are simplified. The focus of research in writing this thesis is: (1) What are the problems of students in learning social studies class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung?, (2) What causes the emergence of problems experienced by students in learning social studies class VIII Smp Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung?, (3)How can teachers overcome the problems experienced by students in social studies class VIII of Smp Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung?. The objectives of the study are: (1) to describe the problems in social learning experienced by students of Grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung, (2) to describe the causes of the emergence of problems in social learning experienced by students of Grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung, (3) to describe how teachers overcome problems in social learning experienced by students of Grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung. This research is categorized in qualitative research. with data collection techniques conducted by observation, interviews, and documentation with the research site at SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung. The subjects in this study were social studies teachers and eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ngunut Tulungagung. The results showed that: (1) problems experienced by grade VIII students in social studies, namely students who have minimal or less reading interest in social studies subjects. Availability of package books and worksheets for students is limited. The methods and learning media used by class teachers are less varied. The teacher is not in control of the class. (2) the cause of students experiencing problems in social science learning is that students do not have books and worksheets as companion books in social studies learning. Students are allowed to bring cellphones to school. The teacher's voice is less loud and clear when teaching. Many students are crowded during the class learning process. (3) how teachers overcome Student Problems in social studies learning is class management. Variety of learning (methods, media, and tasks). The teacher's attitude is firm. Outdoor learning.
