Tadris Al-Arabiyyah: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab dan Kebahasaaraban is a peer-reviewed journal on Arabic education field and intended to communicate original research and current issues on the subject. This journal is published by the Arabic Education Department, Pascasarjana Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University of Bandung, in partnership with IMLA (Ittihadul Mudarrisii al Lughah al Arabiyyah). Editors welcome scholars, researchers and practitioners of Arabic Education around the world to submit scholarly articles to be published through this journal. Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension in Arabic remain problematic for students, necessitating innovative teaching methods. One potential solution is using technology-based learning media, such as the Assemblr Edu app that utilizes Augmented Reality (AR). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Assembly Edu app, based on Augmented Reality, in enhancing vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension in Arabic among eighth-grade students at MTsN 9 Majalengka. The research employs a quantitative and quasi-experimental method (non-equivalent group control design). Data were collected through observations, interviews, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis revealed that the average scores for vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension increased from 45.45 to 58.40 after using the app, marking a 24% improvement. This significant increase indicates that the AR application effectively enhanced both aspects compared to the control class that did not use the app. The findings have important implications for Arabic language education in Indonesia, particularly in integrating technology to improve teaching effectiveness. Recommendations for future research include exploring AR applications across different educational levels, developing app features tailored to student needs, and conducting long-term studies and comparative evaluations with other teaching methods.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis kemampuan siswa kelas 10 MA Miftahul Falah dalam memahami teks arab sebelum menggunakan media ChatGPT, menganalisis kemampuan siswa kelas 10 MA Miftahul Falah dalam memahami teks arab sesudah menggunakan media ChatGPT, menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan siswa kelas 10 MA Miftahul Falah sesudah menggunakan media ChatGPT, menganalisis dampak positif dan negatif penggunaan media ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran bahasa arab. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penellitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperiment. Peneliti menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes dan studi pustaka untuk mengumpulkan data yang dibutuhkan. Dan peneliti menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji t berpasangan dengan bantuan SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas 10 MA Miftahul Falah dalam memahami teks arab sebelum menggunakan media ChatGPT berada dalam level rendah, yang ditunjukan oleh nilai rata-rata yaitu 59,9. kemampuan siswa kelas 10 MA Miftahul Falah dalam memahami teks arab sesudah menggunakan media ChatGPT berada pada level sangat bagus yang ditunjukan oleh nilai rata-rata yaitu 83,2. Penerapan media ini berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks arab sebesar 0,5866 artinya ada peningkatan sebesar 58,6644%. Jadi penerapan media ini cukup efektif. Media ini juga memberikan dampak positif dan dampak negatif ketika diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa arab.

Abstract

Learning Arabic speaking skills still leaves problems in its implementation; problems with learning methods, media used, and a lousy learning environment are the root of the problem in this case. The same is true in class VIII MTs Al-Raudhah. Because there is no specific and continuous learning about Arabic speaking skills because mastering the skill of speaking Arabic cannot be obtained only by giving theory, but it takes practice and practice continuously. This study aimed to determine the improvement of Arabic speaking skills by applying the Shundūq Al-Asyyā (item box) language game. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (PTK), carried out at MTs Al-Raudhah Cileunyi. The subject of this study was grade VIII MTs Al-Raudhah students for the 2022/2023 academic year. The number of students studied was 28 students, 18 female students and 10 men. Data collection techniques in this study are Observation, Questionnaire, Interview, Test, and Documentation. The results of the study stated that in the first cycle, before applying the Shundūq Al-Asyyā (item box) game media, more precisely on the pretest results, the average speaking skill score achieved by students reached 60.04. After the first cycle, students' average speaking skills score increased to 77.32, although not perfect. (2) In the second cycle, precisely on the pretest, the results showed that the average score of students' speaking skills decreased to 70.46. After implementing the action, the average score of students increased to 87.43, and the average completion reached 89%. Therefore, using Shundūq Al-Asyyā game media in class VIII MTs Ar-Raudhah Cileunyi can improve students' Arabic speaking skills. So, applying this media can be an alternative for teachers to improve students' Arabic speaking skills with fun. Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh problematika bahwa mayoritas siswa tidak dapat memahami makna kosakata dengan baik saat guru memberikan latihan soal melalui pemahaman teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan membaca siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode qawā’id wa tarjamah dengan bantuan kamus Bahasa Arab berbasis mobile, mengetahui keterampilan membaca siswa sesudah menggunakan metode tersebut, serta untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan membaca menggunakan metode qawā’id wa tarjamah dengan bantuan kamus Bahasa Arab berbasis mobile. Peneliti dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode eksperimen dengan desain quasi eksperimen. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut; 1) Keterampilan membaca siswa kelas XI MAN 4 Tasikmalaya sebelum menggunakan metode qawā’id wa tarjamah dengan bantuan kamus Bahasa Arab berbasis mobile berada pada level rendah sekali, yang ditunjukan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 48,62. 2) Keterampilan membaca siswa kelas XI MAN 4 Tasikmalaya sebelum menggunakan metode qawā’id wa tarjamah dengan bantuan kamus Bahasa Arab berbasis mobile berada pada level sangat baik, yang ditunjukan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 82,46. 3) Penggunaan metode qawā’id wa tarjamah dengan bantuan kamus bahasa Arab berbasis mobile terdapat peningkatan yang sedang dan positif dalam keterampilan membaca siswa sebesar 0,6550 atau 65,50%, artinya penggunaan metode ini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca

Abstract

This research is motivated by students who still have difficulty learning to speak, especially when using the dialogue model. The aim of this research is to find out how the application of the audiolingual approach in Arabic language learning improves the speaking skills of 38 class IX students at Ibnu Sina Middle School, Purwakarta. This research was carried out from May to June 2023, the type of research was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out cyclically. The research data sources are teacher and student observations and evaluation of student abilities. Data collection techniques are observation and evaluation. Data analysis techniques determine individual completion, classical completion, and average scores. The results show that the audiolingual approach can improve student learning achievement in Arabic speaking skills. Growing student involvement in the learning process shows the effectiveness of the method, and the growing importance of learning outcomes reveals that the students' speaking skills in Cycle I was 77.96 (Fairly Good) and Cycle II was 80.59 (good), indicating the effectiveness of the results. Engagement rates ranged from 83.8% (good) in Cycle 1 to 89.1% (excellent) in Cycle 2.

Abstract

This study aims to identify syntactic and morphological errors in third-year students of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) Miftahus-sholihin and provide treatments to reduce these errors. Given the international popularity of Arabic, it is essential to conduct research focusing on improving students' understanding of all aspects necessary for mastering the Arabic language. This research focuses on errors in syntactic and morphological aspects, categorized into three subcategories in syntax: 1) final harakat determination, 2) i`rab characteristics, and 3) sentence structure; and two subcategories in morphology: 1) initial and final harakat determination, and 2) shigah determination, totaling five subcategories. The study introduces a new approach to addressing Arabic language errors in syntactic and morphological aspects through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) model. The findings highlight FGD's effectiveness in Arabic language education, particularly in reducing morphological shigah errors, with results showing a 5% reduction in error rates from 31% (170 errors) to 26% (141 errors). This research enhances Arabic teaching methods with FGD, promotes innovative strategies, and improves the curriculum. Further exploration of FGD and other innovative methods is recommended, along with longitudinal studies.

Abstract

Learning Arabic vocabulary (mufradāt) often faces challenges in achieving effectiveness, particularly in motivating students to actively participate and deeply understand the material. Many conventional methods have significantly failed to improve students' listening and speaking skills. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the Aural-Oral Approach in teaching Arabic vocabulary (mufradāt). The Aural-Oral Approach, which emphasizes intensive listening and speaking skills, can enhance students' vocabulary acquisition in Arabic. This study was conducted at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) Ar-Rahman Bogor using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 60 students divided into two groups: the experimental group using the Aural-Oral Approach and the control group using conventional methods. Data were collected through interviews and vocabulary tests before and after the intervention. The results of the data analysis showed a significant increase in Arabic vocabulary skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. This study's novelty lies in applying the Aural-Oral Approach in the context of Arabic language learning at the MDT level, which has not been extensively explored before. These findings indicate that the Aural-Oral Approach effectively improves Arabic vocabulary mastery. Therefore, it is recommended that this method be more widely implemented in Arabic language teaching to maximize student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Poetry is one literary form that requires comprehension. Therefore, this study examines the lexical, grammatical, and referential meanings of the poems in Ila Ummi. By summarizing the data gathered, this study employs descriptive qualitative research methodology. The poem Ila Ummi by Mahmoud Darwish, which can be found in his poetry collection Aasyiq Min Filastiin, serves as the primary data source for this study. Books, journals, and other supporting materials make up the secondary data. The study's findings indicate that Ila Ummi's poetry has referential, grammatical, and lexical semantic meanings. Grammatical meaning is the meaning of a sentence that varies due to structural changes, as opposed to lexical meaning, which is the meaning stated in a dictionary or refers to the real meaning. Furthermore, this paper investigates the role of figurative language, metaphor, and symbolism in conveying the emotional depth of longing in "Ila Ummi." The poet's use of metaphors, such as the land as a mother, and symbols, like the olive tree, are explored to unveil the layers of meaning that these elements contribute to the overall semantic structure of the poem. This study contributes to the understanding of Mahmoud Darwish's work as a literary and cultural artifact that transcends individual sentiment and embodies the collective experience of longing for a homeland. By employing a semantic approach, the paper highlights the poem's ability to evoke many emotions and associations, making "Ila Ummi" a profound representation of longing that resonates with readers on both personal and universal levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur tata bahasa dalam kitab " Ta’līm al-Muta'allim " karya Sheikh Burhan al-Din al-Zarnuji. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis sintaksis dan morfologis teks, mengungkapkan pola konstruksi kalimat dan penggunaan kata dalam konteks pendidikan dan pembelajaran Islam. Melalui pendekatan linguistik, penelitian ini menyelidiki bagaimana struktur bahasa Arab digunakan untuk menyampaikan konsep pendidikan dalam karya tersebut. Metode analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi nuansa bahasa dan makna dalam teks, memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang kontribusi Sheikh al-Zarnuji dalam bidang pendidikan Islam dan linguistik Arab. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam " Ta’līm al-Muta'allim ", struktur tata bahasa Arab yang digunakan secara konsisten dan teratur untuk menyampaikan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Analisis sintaksis dan morfologis mengungkapkan kekayaan bahasa yang digunakan Sheikh al-Zarnuji untuk mengkomunikasikan ide-ide kompleks dengan jelas dan efektif.Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pendekatan linguistik yang digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi teks klasik Islam. Dengan menerapkan metodologi analisis kualitatif, studi ini membuka pintu bagi pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang hubungan antara bahasa Arab dan konsep-konsep pendidikan dalam konteks keagamaan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah untuk meluaskan cakupan analisis ke karya-karya lain dari tradisi pendidikan Islam serta untuk mempertimbangkan pengaruh dan relevansi konsep-konsep yang dijelaskan dalam "Ta’līm al-Muta'allim" dalam konteks pendidikan modern

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of using digital media as online learning media in the Industry 4.0 era. This study aims to describe the video development process using the kinemaster application as Arabic learning media to increase creativity and innovation for educators in developing online learning media. The Kinemaster application is software on a smartphone that can be a solution in developing today's online learning media. This research uses the research and development method (Research and development) using the ADDIE instructional model; the development model has five stages, namely (a) analysis, (b) design, (c) development, (d) implementation, and (e) evaluation. However, this research is still in the ADD stage: analysis, design, and development. This research describes video editing using the kinemaster application as an online learning medium. The results of the limited trial research on 20 Class VI elementary school students, with a percentage of 85%, were excellent. The final results show that 1) kinemaster applications in Islamic Religious Education subjects is feasible to use in the online learning process; 2) creative and innovative video viewing can increase learning understanding for students.
