Abstract

This article examines wasatiyya through the eyes of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). In terms of current religiosity in Indonesian society, most people are polarized into two extreme patterns, namely the extreme right and the extreme left. The role of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) is demonstrated by demonstrating the concept of Islamic wasatiyya taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The emergence of radicalism and liberalism was undoubtedly influenced by several factors, including religious exaggeration or, conversely, taking religious matters lightly. This article specifically seeks to answer two questions. First and foremost, how did the MUI come to be? Second, how does the MUI view the concept of wasatiyya da'wah? Third, what is the role of the Indonesian Ulema Council's (MUI) fatwa for the Indonesian people? As a result, we can see that the MUI, a semi-official institution in Indonesia, plays an important role in religious matters for Indonesian society, including preventing the emergence of extreme right and extreme left views. Until we believe MUI has carried out a religious moderation movement, also known as Wasatiyya al-Islam. Keywords: MUI, Preaching, Radical, Wasatiyya.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the extent to which the religious moderation model was developed by the author of TK B textbooks. Researchers used library research with qualitative research as a type of research. Sources of data studied, namely; Kindergarten B textbooks totaled seven books. To examine the text and images contained in TK B textbooks, researchers used Content Analysis. Content Analysis is a scientific analysis of the contents of a communication message. Technically, the scope of content analysis substance includes; classification of signs used in communication, using criteria as a basis for classification, and using certain analytical techniques as predictors. The results showed that the religious moderation model in TK B textbooks was introduced through local wisdom and national commitment. Local wisdom is represented by; relics of the past, such as; temples, statues, chariot wheels, jugs, pinisi boats, swords, temple gates, temple banners, traditional houses, traditional dances, traditional clothes, and names based on local traditions. While the national commitment is represented by the red and white flag and its pole, flag ceremonial activities, and the Garuda bird in the palace. Abstract

Tulisan Ini membahas bagaimana akar moderasi beragama sudah ditanam menjadi akar pondasi budaya islam oleh Rasulullah Saw, menanamkan pondasi ke diri kaum muslimin saat itu, hingga sekarang masih bisa kita rasakan betapa kuatnya pengkaderan yang dilakukan oleh Rasulullah terhadap umatnya yaitu Kuatnya pondasi ini karena dimulai dari sosok Rasulullah sendiri, dengan digladi langsung oleh Allah Swt, Rasulullah Saw, dari semenjak masih muda merupakan seorang yang mandiri.Sikap Rasulullah yang bijak dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Kita bisa melihat saat beliau belum diangkat menjadi Rasul, bagaimana beliau menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam meletakkan hajar aswad kembali ke tempat semula Semangat dan sikap gigih Rasulullah Saw, dalam memperjuangkan Islam. Beliau tidak pernah terlena dengan bujuk rayu. Entah berupa harta, tahta ataupun wanita.Lebih mengedepankan umatnya daripada diri beliau sendiri. Kita bisa melihat bagaimana rasa sayang beliau terhadap umatnya, sehingga diperintahkan untuk hijrah.Menjadi sosok pemimpin yang selalu dirindukan. Sebagaimana perkataan orang Khajraz “Bangsa kami telah lama terlibat dalam permusuhan. Mereka benar – benar merindukan perdamaian. Semoga Tuhan mempersatukan mereka kembali dengan perantaraan engkau dan ajaran – ajaran yang engkau bawa. Oleh karena itu, kami akan berdakwah agar mereka mengetahui agama yang kami terima dari engkau ini”. Rasulullah melakukan sebuah pembai’atan. Yaitu janji setia penduduk Madinah terhadap Rasulullah. Padahal waktu itu belum ada hal demikian. Meniggalkan Ali di Madinah untuk menyelesaikan urusan beliau. Hal seperti ini merupakan pelajaran akan sebuah tanggungjawab yang diajarkan langsung oleh Rasulullah. Bahwasanya jika seorang pemimpin harus bisa mencari wakilnya apabila ingin meninggalkan tempat. Membangun masjid bukan hanya sebagai pusat Ibadah, tapi juga sebagai tempat penyelesaian masalah

Abstract

The National Islamic Economic Literacy Index is 16.3% in 2021. As a concrete form of the above description, the existence of this conflict is due to other aspects such as political, social and economic factors, but an understanding of religion cannot be separated in minimizing this conflict. Sentiment from the emergence of various different religious understandings also triggers conflicts in society when there is a clash of religion, culture, social, economy and politics. Religious moderation is needed in the process of community literacy so that literacy has a positive impact on Islamic Economics. The concept and practice of Islamic Economics still requires development and is not free from deficiencies that make it not fully in accordance with Islamic law. Islamic Higher Education has a big role in the development of Islamic Economics. Education, research and service activities as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education make a very large contribution. Many findings and ideas about Islamic Economics were born in universities. Apart from that, there are also many new experts and practitioners of Islamic Economics who have emerged from universities. Economic justice in Indonesia can be realized by the spread of the Islamic economic system which has a moderate nature when compared to the capitalist system (dominance of capital owners) or socialist (state dominance). People who have good Islamic economic literacy (well literature) will behave in a moderate manner, namely accepting the idea of Islamic economics with its various shortcomings while still trying to push towards a better direction.

Abstract

Abstrak: Islam wasathiyah menjadi tolak ukur normatif umat Islam dalam menjalankan moderasi beragama di tengah bangsa multikultural. Toleransi merupakan sikap yang mesti diterapkan dalam menghadapi kehidupan bangsa multi religi. Namun kenyataannya, hal tersebut sangat sulit diwujudkan akibat adanya penyebaran paham radikalisme dan ekstremisme secara masif di media sosial. Habib Ja’afar adalah salah satu pendakwah milenial yang sering melakukan dialog lintas agama di media sosial. Dialog tersebut dikemas dalam konten dakwah dan senantiasa mengedepankan prinsip Islam Wasathiyah. Artikel ini mengkaji nilai-nilai syiar Islam dalam konten Youtube “Jeda Nulis” milik Habib Ja’far dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi living hadith. Penelitian ini merupakan hasil kajian lapangan bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan observasi serta dianalisis dengan teknik content analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hadis-hadis tentang Islam wasathiyah telah hidup dalam dakwah Habib Ja’far. Melalui media Youtube, Habib Jaa’far menghidupkan nilai-nilai hadist Islam wasathiyah melalui tiga tradisi. Pertama, tradisi lisan yakni melalui konten podcast dan ceramah. Kedua, tradisi tulisan yakni quotes bertajuk moderasi beragama. Ketiga, tradisi praktik yakni melalui dialog lintas agama dengan menghadirkan berbagai sudut pandang dan perspektif. Adapun kontribusi penelitian ini ialah sebagai ikhtiar dakwah Islam wasathiyah di era digital, terutama di platform media sosial Youtube. Abstract

Radicalism is one of the common enemies of all religions including Islam, radicalism becomes negative because it forces ideology or will on others to follow what is the right path for them, in this digital era, prevention of radicalism is important considering that in Indonesia around 84, 94% of students who can access the internet are intolerant. Today the internet and social media are sources of reference for knowledge, including knowledge about religion. The existence of the Instagram account @mubadalah.id is very important in presenting peaceful, soothing and reassuring religious narratives which can be used as penetration for disseminating the notion of religious moderation and is expected to be able to prevent radicalism by utilizing social media. The research method used in this study is the elaboration between the analytical descriptive communication style of the Instagram account @mubadalah.id in conveying the message of religious moderation which is uploaded on his Instagram account. The results of this study found that in analyzing the message of religious moderation carried out by @mubadalah.id according to Harold Dwight Laswell we must answer several questions; who, says what, uses which channels or media, to whom and how does it affect. The conclusion from this study is that the influence of the message of religious moderation by @mubadalah.id can increase knowledge and change followers to be more tolerant and moderate.

Abstract

Islamic inclusiveness is identical with the attitude of openness, tolerance and the spirit of cooperation both between adherents of Islam and with adherents of other religions. One of the big figures who initiated this is KH. Abdurrahman Wahid. To know the concept of inclusive Islamic education perspective according to KH. Abdurrahman Wahid and learning Islamic Education that is inclusive of current Islamic education. The type of research used in this research is library research. This research is a library research in which a lot of data collection is obtained through collecting data from various literatures. The literature studied is not limited to books or books, but is also obtained through documentation study materials, magazines, journals, and others. Meanwhile, the data analysis method used is content analysis. The results of this study state that the concept of Islamic education naturally should have an inclusive nature because Islam teaches respect for followers of other faiths and religions. Inclusive religion does not mean doubting their beliefs but accepting the existence of people of other religions/beliefs whose rights must be respected in society. With inclusive education, it is hoped that it will be able to foster a comprehensive view of students towards each other, make them aware that they are to cultivate an attitude of tolerance in differences.

Abstract

This article discusses the traces of wasaṭiyyah in the Prophet's hadith narratives. Specifically, it explores the events of the Medina Charter which can be used as a symbol of wasaṭiyah in the history of Muslims. The discourse of religious moderation has normatively been displayed in the narrative and behavior of the Prophet SAW. With a narrative research model, this research traces the events into a single unit so that the correlation of existing events is obtained. As a result, the search for hadith with the keyword ummatan wasaṭan is found in several collections of canonical books scattered in four books totaling 10 hadith. These traditions are closely related to the interpretation of QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 143. Second, in principle, there is a symbolic meaning of wasaṭiyyah in other hadith reports that substantively show the practice reflected by the Prophet SAW who was fair, polite, able to tolerate differences. In addition, the discussion of the Medina Charter is realized on the basis of spiritual, economic and socio-political integration with four significances (a) this charter represents the recognition of ethnic Jews as a people in the sense of their religious freedom, meaning that there is a principle of tolerance. (b) The obligation on the Jews to share the costs with the Muslims in the event of an attack from outside Medina and the recognition of the Jewish side of the Prophet's supreme authority in all disputes between the parties, this principle indicates a commitment to nationality (c) the establishment of restrictions on the movement of Jews outside Medina except with the permission of the Prophet and (d) the establishment of Medina's territory that is free of disputes and destruction of its natural resources which shows the principle of non-violence. Clearly, the roots of wasatiyyah in the prophetic narrative always prioritize religious tolerance without disputes and disputes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the phenomenon of religious moderation in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the type of library research or literature study to collect, read, record, process, and analyze the main topics in this research which are sourced from documents, reports, books, research journals, articles, scientific magazines and other data that support this research. This research aims to analyze the role of religious moderation towards conflicts that occur in the community in order to maintain the welfare and peace of the people. The results showed that in this digital era it is necessary to apply the attitude of religious moderation to avoid various conflicts, both inter-religious conflicts and conflicts in society. According to research conducted by Yusuf Al-Qardhawi, many internal conflicts of Muslims today are caused by excessive religious patterns or it can be said that some other groups of Muslims have not been able to place things in their place. From this attitude raises the attitude of fanaticism and blames the understanding that is different from their beliefs. Believing in God by obeying religion and avoiding His prohibitions is indeed an obligation that must be carried out for religious people, but religious patterns that are too extreme to cause a religious conflict are also prohibited, for that religious moderation is needed.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the uniqueness that exists in Ngandagan Village, Pituruh District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java. It started with the researcher’s interest in this area, where the community adheres to various religions but has religious moderation. Harmony and peace is always well maintained. In interviews with village officials, community leaders in Ngandagan village as well as several members of the Ngandagan village community, is was found that this village community adheres to various religions including Islam, Protestant Christianity, adn Catholic Christianity. Because of this diversity and the social harmony that accompanies it, further research is needed on the things behind this event. The methodology used is the method of observation and interviews where to get the data, the authors conduct observations and structured or planned interviews. The findings in this paper include. First, the community has long adhered to religious differences, even since the G30S PKI era, so that differences are very natural in that society. Furthermore, because of family ties. Where in one family member adheres to various religions as well because it has become a tardition to respect fellow religious people.
