Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of altruism values based on Hadith in extracurricular activities at Madrasah Aliyah Tiga Batur, Limapuluh Kota. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, allowing the researcher to explore the application of altruism values in-depth within the specific context of the madrasah. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed using Hassan Hanafi's hermeneutic approach to understand the Hadith in its social and historical context and its relevance in the current educational situation. The results of the study show that extracurricular activities at Madrasah Aliyah Tiga Batur have successfully internalized altruism values through various specially designed programs, such as social activities and environmental care clubs. In conclusion, the integration of altruism values in these extracurricular activities is not only effective in shaping students' empathetic and caring character but can also serve as a model for other educational institutions that wish to instill Islamic values in the daily lives of their students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) the reality of history learning, (2) the efforts of teachers in fostering historical awareness in history learning, and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors in instilling historical awareness through history education. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach and is presented through descriptive analysis. The subjects of the study are history teachers and students at SMAN 6 Metro. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The research findings show that: (1) history learning at SMAN 6 Metro is based on the independent Curriculum, and teachers apply various teaching methods and media suited to the material being taught; (2) teachers promote historical awareness by using historical content that includes values of nationalism and patriotism, building direct engagement with students, applying innovative and effective teaching methods, and organizing field trips or historical excursions; and (3) supporting factors include the professionalism of history teachers, while inhibiting factors include incomplete school facilities, the lack of a history laboratory, unsupportive student attitudes, and limited time allocation for history learning. Based on these findings, it is recommended that schools improve the facilities that support history education, provide further training for history teachers, and ensure sufficient time allocation for teaching history.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the need to develop student worksheets based on Geospatial Technology as a learning resource for physics students in high school. This study focuses on quantitative research using questionnaires that are analyzed using descriptive statistics. This study involved 23 respondents spread across several schools in Padang, West Sumatra and 32 students in one of the high schools in Padang City, West Sumatra. The instrument in this study uses a needs questionnaire with several statements addressed to teachers and students. Based on the teacher needs questionnaire, as many as 60.9% of the 23 teachers do not know this technology, so only 39.1% know it but only 8.7% apply it in learning. The results of the needs questionnaire analysis show that student worksheets developed with Geospatial Technology, especially on the topic of renewable energy sources, are needed and are expected to help students achieve their desired learning goals. Based on this, the use of technology as a learning resource is urgently needed by students, so it is necessary to conduct a needs analysis in developing student worksheets based on Geospatial Technology.

Abstract

This study explores the experiences of international students from Thailand in pursuing Islamic Religious Education in Indonesia, focusing on the challenges and opportunities faced. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and case study analysis using the Cresswell (2016). The results of the study revealed that students faced major obstacles in the form of limitations in understanding the language of instruction, local cultural differences, and difficulties in understanding contextual religious terminology. Barriers to integrating technology into Islamic Education learning also exacerbated the existing challenges. However, significant opportunities also emerged, such as enriching religious knowledge through comparing theological perspectives, openness to religious interpretations, and learning experiences in an inclusive multicultural environment. In addition, limited support from peers and lecturers also helped Thai students overcome these obstacles. The contribution of these findings lies in a deeper understanding of the dynamics of religious learning in a cross-cultural context and the importance of adapting more inclusive teaching strategies. The results of this study can be a basis for educational institutions in designing learning programs that support international students, especially in overcoming linguistic, cultural, and technological challenges, in order to improve the quality of their learning experience in Indonesia.

Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, which included collection, presentation, reduction and conclusion drawing. The findings show the main challenges include competition with public schools, curriculum balance, education costs and parents' expectations. Strategies implemented include developing an integrated curriculum, improving the quality of teachers, developing facilities and actively involving parents. This research provides insights into the dynamics of SDIT and offers strategies to overcome challenges in a competitive education market.

Abstract

This article aims to find out, analyse, and offer a time management model for female students in the midst of dual roles in dealing with academic procrastination at the Islamic State University. Procrastination is an academic term used for students who delay doing coursework. The act of procrastination can be seen from the delay in completing studies, the inability to manage time, and the inability to manage oneself. This research uses qualitative research methods which are field research. There are two data sources that are the reference for this research. The first is primary data which is key data in the form of interview results. Second, secondary data obtained from research results in the form of scientific articles, books, and other library materials related to the research topic. The data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study found that the learning model for dual-role female students in dealing with academic procrastination with proportional time management is very important to be implemented as an effort to avoid procrastination of academic tasks. Female students as self-controllers must have the strength to keep procrastination behaviour away in order to be able to complete academic tasks in a timely manner. The ability of self-control will have a positive effect on the realisation of a balanced academic atmosphere.

Abstract

The increasing phenomenon of academic burnout and low self-adjustment among students addicted to Korean dramas presents a serious challenge for guidance and counseling services in schools. This study aims to develop an Art Therapy module as an intervention to reduce academic burnout and enhance studentsÔÇÖ self-adjustment. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data were collected through observation, interviews, academic burnout questionnaires, self-adjustment scales, and expert validation in content, design, and language. Data analysis included product validity assessment, module practicality evaluation, and effectiveness testing using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results indicated that the module demonstrated a high level of validity (average >90%), excellent practicality (92%), and statistically significant effectiveness in reducing academic burnout (from 85.86 to 76.97) and improving student self-adjustment (from 83.46 to 99.00). The Wilcoxon test confirmed significant differences between pretest and posttest scores for both academic burnout (p = 0.000) and self-adjustment (p = 0.000). In conclusion, the Art Therapy module is valid, practical, and effective as a medium for group counseling services to support students in coping with academic burnout and enhancing self-adjustment affected by Korean drama addiction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and construct a mind map of the digital culture of lecturers in higher education and its implications for the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the digital era. Using qualitative research with a multisite study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis at IAIN Kendari and Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari. The findings indicate that the digital culture of lecturers plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of teaching, research, community service, and faculty administration. Several key aspects were identified, including the development of digital competencies, innovation in teaching methods, and improved information accessibility among faculty and students. The study also revealed that despite progress in the adoption of digital technologies, challenges remain, such as insufficient training and resistance to changes in work culture due to digital transformation. Therefore, it is recommended that higher education institutions provide more intensive support for the development of digital culture and technological infrastructure. Thus, this research not only provides an overview of the digital culture of lecturers but also successfully constructs a mind map that simultaneously offers strategic recommendations for improving the quality of Tri Dharma implementation in the digital era.
