Abstract

SOEs have two main roles: serving the community (social function) and generating profits (commercial function). Unfortunately, these two functions often clash, because if the focus is on public service, profits can be thin, even losses. But if the focus is on profit, it is feared that it will sacrifice public interests. This study discusses how SOEs in Indonesia carry out these two functions simultaneously, what are the challenges, and strategies so that they can continue to run in balance. Using a qualitative literature study method, data from reports and articles are used to analyze real conditions in the field. The results show that the dual role of SOEs can run, as long as there is professional management, clear regulations, and appropriate government support.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Kompetensi Hakim dalam menangani perkara ekonmi syariah di Pengadilan Agama SungguminasaKelas 1A. Seiring dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi syariah di Indonesia, sengketa ekonomi syariah juga mengalami peningkatan. Pengadilan Agama, sebagai lembaga yang diberi kewenangan untuk menyelesaikan sengketa ekonomi syariah, menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalammemastikan hakim memiliki kompetensi yang memadai. Oleh karena itu, kompetensi hakim dalam menangani perkara ekonomi syariah menjadi aspek krusial guna menjamin keadilan serta kepastian hukum bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan yuridis empiris yang dilakukan di Pengadilan Agama Sungguminasa Kelas 1A. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk memahami kompetensi hakim dalam menangani perkara ekonomi Syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hakim di Pengadilan Agama Sungguminasa telah memiliki latar belakanag Pendidikan di bidang hukum islam atau syariah serta memahami prinsip-prinsip ekonomi syariah. Namun, hanya Sebagian kecil dari mereka yang telah memiliki sertifikasi khusus dalam penyelesaian sengketa ekonomi syariah sebagaimana diatur dalam Peraturan Mahkamah Agung (PERMA) Nomor 5 Tahun 2016. Kendal yang dihadapi antara lain keterbatasan jumlah hakim bersertifikasi serta kompleksitas kasus ekonomi syariah yang membutuhkan pemahaman mendalam tentang akad-akad dalam ekonomi islam

Abstract

The importance of assessing the effectiveness of pawning as collateral in various economic and legal situations. For some time, pawning has been used as a method of providing credit that involves the surrender of goods as collateral for debt. However, its relevance in facing the challenges of modernizing the financial system still needs to be reviewed. This study uses qualitative methodology by conducting case studies at financing institutions and conducting in-depth interviews with stakeholders, including pawners and customers. By using thematic analysis, the data is evaluated to find elements that influence the effectiveness of pawning, such as regulations, ease of access, and legal protection. The results of the study show that pawning remains a useful tool for collateral, especially for lower-middle economic communities who do not have access to formal financial services. However, public awareness of the pawn process, applicable regulations, and rules of related institutions affect this performance. So, to improve the function of pawns as a flexible and inclusive collateral tool, it is necessary to strengthen regulations and public education.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the important industries in the development of the Indonesian economy, especially through cultural heritage tourism that focuses on cultural and historical heritage. This study examines the political economy in the management of heritage tourism in Kampung Vietnam (Memorial of Galang) in Batam City, which is the site of a former Vietnamese refugee camp. Using a qualitative approach and literature study, this study explores the dynamics of management involving the government, local communities, and investors. Although Kampung Vietnam has great potential, challenges such as minimal infrastructure, ineffective promotion, and low community involvement hinder its development. This study suggests the need for infrastructure revitalization, increased promotion, and active community involvement to create a sustainable and inclusive tourism destination.

Abstract

This research is a systematic review of the application of business ethics and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in multinational companies, by comparing global and local perspectives. lThe method used is a systematic literature review of 18 scientific articles. The results show that multinational companies apply global ethical and CSR standards, but in practice need to be adjusted to local values and norms. These adjustments pose ethical challenges, but also open up opportunities for more meaningful collaboration with communities. The global-local approach is key to maintaining the sustainability and legitimacy of companies in various countries.

Abstract

The analysis of the application of the blended learning model in the independent learning curriculum in Islamic religious education subjects did not run optimally due to limited time, in addition to the obstacles experienced such as cellphones that often died and also many different students and of course in Islamic Religious Education lessons for instilling religious values it was difficult to see and control because of limited communication, teachers cannot directly reprimand, or advise students when they make mistakes. This can make students passive and less attentive to learning. The type of research used is field research, the data collection techniques are in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the data validity technique is in the form of researcher participation and triangulation, data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The informants in this study were the vice principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students of SMA N 2 IV KOTO, Agam Regency. The results of the study showed that the analysis of the application of the blended learning model in the independent learning curriculum in Islamic Religious Education subjects consisted of three stages, namely the planning stage consisting of two sessions, preparing materials, and preparing learning media. The implementation stage includes preliminary activities in the form of opening learning, reciting the Koran, the core of delivering the material, and the evaluation or assessment stage in the form of assignments given and practical videos. In addition, there are supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the analysis of the application of the blended learning model in the independent learning curriculum. The supporting factors include 1) Ease of access to technology, 2) Easy access to learning resources, 3) Support from the family environment. While the inhibiting factors include 1) Unstable signal network, 2) Low student learning motivation, and 3) Limited learning facilities.

Abstract

Visual-spatial intelligence is one of the important aspects of early childhood cognitive development that involves the ability to perceive, process, and think in visual as well as spatial forms. Children with good visual-spatial intelligence are capable of accurately recognizing shapes, colors, spaces, and patterns, as well as having high imagination and creativity. This study aims to examine the relationship between visual-spatial intelligence and early childhood cognitive abilities, particularly in terms of problem solving, understanding of spatial concepts, and creativity. Study results show that visual-spatial intelligence plays a significant role in supporting children’s cognitive abilities, including in the learning process and understanding of visual and abstract material. The development of this intelligence can be done through a variety of activities such as drawing, playing puzzles, and exploring the environment that stimulate the child’s visual imagination. Thus, strengthening visual-spatial intelligence can improve a child’s overall cognitive ability.

Abstract

Education has an important role in shaping the character of students, especially in the context of a multicultural society. Schools as formal institutions not only function to transfer knowledge, but also become a strategic space in instilling social values such as tolerance. This study aims to describe the role of schools in building tolerance character in students who come from different cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds. The method used is a descriptive qualitative study with a literature study approach and field observations in several multicultural schools. The results showed that schools play an active role through integrating tolerance values in the curriculum, habituation of mutual respect in relationships, and organizing inclusive extracurricular activities. In addition, teachers and principals have a role as role models who reinforce these values in daily practice. However, there are still challenges such as the lack of teacher training in diversity management and social biases that sometimes arise in the school environment. Therefore, a more systematic and collaborative approach is needed between schools, families and communities in building a sustainable culture of tolerance.

Abstract

The phenomenon of code mixing is a form of one of the language variations that occurs generally in the lives of bilingual and multilingual communities, including in Indonesia. Films as a representation of social life often reflect the use of code mixing in dialogues between characters. The purpose of this study is to study and find the forms and types of code mixing in the short film Tilik (2018) and to identify the factors behind its use. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a sociolinguistic approach. By watching the film carefully and taking notes on the dialogue to analyze the code mixing contained therein, then the data is collected. The analysis was carried out based on the code mixing theory put forward by Suwito (1985), which divides code mixing into insertion (word insertion), alternation (code replacement), and congruent lexicalization (lexical integration). The results of the research data show that the code mixing elements in the Tilik film are used as a communication strategy that reflects social closeness between characters, shows cultural identity, and creates a humorous effect. Factors that can influence the code mixing used in this film include social, situational, and cultural background factors of the characters involved in the conversation. It is hoped that this research will help sociolinguistic studies, especially in understanding how language variation is used in film media as a reflection of language dynamics in society.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of educational services for children with special needs at SMP Negeri 2 Lamongan as part of an effort to realize equal and fair educational rights. The background of this study is based on the urgency of protecting children’s rights as regulated in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System and Government Regulation Number 13 of 2020 concerning Appropriate Accommodation for Students with Disabilities. Although the policy supports inclusive education, real conditions in schools show challenges, such as the lack of special assistant teachers, limited training for teaching staff, and inadequate facilities. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of inclusive education services for children with special needs at SMPN 2 Lamongan and to identify the extent to which their educational rights have been fulfilled based on inclusive principles. The study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation methods, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings show that schools have begun implementing inclusive education through curriculum adaptation, as well as collaboration between general teachers and assistant teachers. The learning environment is also directed to be inclusive and respect diversity. However, the implementation of inclusive education has not been fully optimal because there are still technical obstacles and limitations in human resources and facilities and infrastructure. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that although schools have shown seriousness in implementing inclusive education, additional support is still needed so that the educational rights of children with special needs can be realized comprehensively according to the principles formulated by Tomasevski.
