Abstract

This study aims to examine and describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) under the Merdeka Curriculum, as well as its impact on students’ engagement and understanding. This research is a field study using a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Primary data were collected through observation and interviews with the principal and the PAI teacher at UPTD SDN 52 Panasakkang, while secondary data were obtained from journals, theses, and other relevant research documents. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was tested using source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that PBL has been implemented gradually and contextually through group discussions, case studies, and projects that incorporate Islamic values into real-life situations. This model has proven effective in enhancing students’ active participation, critical thinking, and comprehension of Islamic teachings. The implication of this study suggests that PBL is an effective and contextual approach to Islamic education and should be optimized through teacher training and a supportive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the thoughts of Muhammad al-Ghazali in the study of hadith through an analysis of his monumental work Al-Sunnah al-Nabawiyah Baina Ahl al-Fiqh wa Ahl al-Hadits. Al-Ghazali proposed a new approach to understanding hadith by prioritizing the values of the Qur’an, maqasid al-shariah, and considerations of reason and social context. This research method uses a qualitative approach with literature study as the main method. The results of the study show that Al-Ghazali criticized the textualist approach that often ignores the moral and rational essence of Islamic teachings, and proposed a reconstruction of a more integrative and contextual methodology for understanding hadith.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to evaluate and examine the factors that influence Local Original Income (PAD) in six cities in Central Java Province. In this study, the independent variables analyzed include the inflation rate, government spending, and population. Meanwhile, the variable that is used as the main focus or dependent variable is PAD. The data used is secondary data obtained from the official publication of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), covering the time period from 2010 to 2015. This study involved six cities as objects of analysis, namely Semarang City, Surakarta, Magelang, Salatiga, Pekalongan, and Tegal. To analyze the relationship between variables, the panel data regression method was used which was run with the help of EViews version 9 software. The results of the analysis showed that the population variable had a positive and significant effect on increasing PAD. The same thing was also found in the government spending variable, which was proven to provide a positive and significant contribution to PAD growth. Conversely, the inflation variable showed a negative and insignificant effect on PAD in the six cities during the study period.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of internal and external factors on the financial performance of Sharia-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The internal factors analyzed include managerial capabilities, operational efficiency, and compliance with Sharia principles. Meanwhile, external factors encompass government policy support, access to financing, and market dynamics. A quantitative approach was employed using multiple regression analysis based on survey data collected from Sharia MSME actors across several regions in Indonesia. The findings indicate that both internal and external factors significantly influence the financial performance of Sharia MSMEs, with internal factors having a more dominant role. These results provide valuable insights for formulating policies and strategies to enhance the competitiveness of Sharia-based MSMEs at the national level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the theory, methods, techniques, strategies, and evaluation in the implementation of bilingual learning at the elementary school level. The study was conducted through a literature study approach, where data was obtained from various sources of scientific literature and analyzed descriptively. The findings show that bilingual learning contributes significantly to improving language competence, developing cognitive abilities, and improving students’ academic achievement. Learning models that have proven effective include an integrated thematic approach, implementing structured language rotation, utilizing interactive digital media, and integrating cultural values from both languages used. The evaluation process is carried out through formative and summative assessments, including portfolios, classroom observations, and competency-based tests. However, the implementation of bilingual learning still faces several obstacles such as limited educators who are fluent in two languages, minimal availability of appropriate teaching materials, and variations in language abilities between students. Therefore, an integrated strategy is needed, including ongoing teacher training, developing an adaptive bilingual curriculum, and collaboration from various parties to ensure the success of the implementation of bilingual learning optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

Academic burnout is a condition of emotional exhaustion, cynicism towards learning tasks, and decreased academic efficacy that impacts student performance. One effective intervention that can be done is group counseling services with self-instruction techniques. This study aims to review the effectiveness of this technique in reducing academic burnout through a literature study approach. Analysis was conducted on various scientific literature from accredited national journals and relevant theses. The results of the study indicate that self-instruction techniques applied in group counseling are effective in significantly reducing academic burnout levels. This technique helps students change negative internal dialogue into positive ones, thereby increasing learning motivation and self-efficacy. This study recommends the implementation of self-instruction-based group counseling as an alternative intervention in educational environments.

Abstract

Educated unemployment in urban areas is a paradox in human resource development in Indonesia. A bachelor’s degree that is expected to be a ticket to decent work does not guarantee easy access to the world of work. This study aims to understand the social reality of educated unemployment among college graduates in Rawamangun, East Jakarta. A qualitative approach with a case study method is used to explore the subjective meaning, social experiences, and survival strategies of individuals who experience unemployment. The social construction theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann is the main analytical framework in understanding how the status of “unemployed” is formed and negotiated in everyday life. The results of the study show that educated unemployment experiences social pressure, identity crisis, and dissonance between expectations and reality. The world of work that demands experience, technical skills, and personal connections is a major obstacle for new graduates. However, individuals are not passive: they form new meanings about work, get involved in family businesses, and maintain psychological stability through certain social strategies. This study shows that educated unemployment is not just an economic issue, but a social construction that has an impact on identity and social relations. Structural responses from education and employment systems are needed to bridge this gap.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of teachers’ code of ethics in the learning process, and to explore in depth the concepts, principles, challenges, and practical solutions to the application of professional ethics in the era of globalization and digital transformation. As the central component of the education system, teachers play a vital role in shaping students’ character, knowledge, and skills. In carrying out their duties, teachers are expected not only to possess professional, pedagogical, social, and personal competencies, but also to uphold moral values through the consistent application of professional ethical standards. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, utilizing data collection techniques such as literature review, observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and thematic conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity of findings, triangulation of sources, techniques, and time was applied, involving the perspectives of teachers, students, and school principals as key informants. The findings indicate that the majority of teachers highly uphold professional ethics in their daily practices—both in their interactions with students and in maintaining the image and dignity of the teaching profession within the school and broader community. Nonetheless, the implementation of the code of ethics still faces various challenges, including the weak internalization of ethical values during pre-service education, the lack of regular training and supervision on ethics, and the negative impact of social media on the professional image of teachers. However, when consistently applied, the code of ethics has a significantly positive impact on enhancing teacher professionalism, student learning comfort, and the creation of an ethical, conducive, and dignified learning climate. Therefore, strengthening the code of ethics must be pursued through continuous training, systematic professional character education, and synergistic collaboration among educational institutions, professional organizations, and government bodies

Abstract

This study aims to examine how social media, especially second account users, influence the formation of adolescent self-identity in the digital era. Using the literature review method and the ex post facto correlational quantitative approach. The results of this study indicate that social media provide a flexible space for identity exploration, strengthen authentic self-expression, and build a supportive social community. The use of second accounts in particular provides an opportunity for adolescents to show a more honest side of themselves, regardless of the social pressures that often occur on the main account. However, this study also found negative risks such as social comparison, dependence on external validation, identity fragmentation, and the potential for mental health disorders. Reflective and authentic interactions on social media have been shown to encourage positive identity development, while passive interactions and focus on social image increase the risk of psychological problems. Therefore, collaboration is needed between adolescents, parents, educators, and digital service providers to facilitate healthier use of social media in shaping adolescent identity.

Abstract

The concept of ‘illat in the proposal of fikih as the basis of the establishment and change of Islamic law. By raising the principle of “al-ḥukmu yadūru ma‘a ‘illatihi wujūdan wa ‘adaman” (the law revolves along with its ‘illat, existence or non-existence), the author explains that social change and cultural context can affect the applicability of Islamic law. ‘Illat is defined as a real property that is the rational basis of a Sharia law’. This article studies the various definitions of ‘illat according to the scholars usul fikih and describe the kinds of ‘illat based on the permanence of the Shari’ah’ and considerations of goodwill. Thus, an understanding of ‘illat becomes essential in order to ensure that Islamic law remains relevant, fair, and contextual in responding to the dynamics of community life. This article demonstrates that the flexibility of Islamic law does not conflict with divine principles, but precisely reflects the mercy and benevolence that are its goals.
