Abstract

This study aims to describe the positive impact of cognitive understanding on the learning process of elementary school students. The background of this research is the crucial role of teachers in recognizing students’ cognitive development to ensure effective and meaningful learning. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing various relevant academic sources. The findings show that cognitive understanding helps students grasp learning materials more easily, supports classroom management, and improves learning outcomes. Therefore, cognitive aspects should be a key consideration in designing elementary-level learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness and optimization of the M-Passport service as an innovation within the e-government framework aimed at improving the quality of immigration services at the Denpasar Class I Immigration Office. In today’s digital age, developments in information technology are driving the transformation of public services toward greater speed, transparency, and efficiency, including in the field of immigration. The increase in the volume of passport applicants at the Denpasar Immigration Office has become a challenge that requires digital-based service innovations to support faster and more accountable administrative processes. The methods used include a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies of the service systems and processes. The research results show that the implementation of digitalization through the M-Paspor application has significantly improved the efficiency of administrative processes, reduced waiting times, and strengthened the transparency and accountability of services. The obstacles encountered include daily quota limitations, technical system disruptions, and a lack of public understanding of how to use the application. As a solution, plans are in place to construct a new building and increase outreach activities to support the sustainability of services. The conclusion of this study confirms that the M-Paspor digital service innovation has had a positive impact on improving the quality of immigration services; however, continuous optimization and increased human resource capacity are needed to ensure more responsive, reliable, and inclusive services.

Abstract

This artiwl is present to comprehensively study how the foundation of educational science plays an important role in preventing adolescent problematics in school. The discussion will begin with an explanation of the essence and scope of the foundations of educational science, followed by an examination of the various adolescent problems that are rampant in schools, and conclude with an analysis of the concrete role of the educational foundations in the preventive efforts that services can carry out, especially through school counseling. This method was chosen because it corresponds to the main purpose of the article, which is to study, analyze, and expose the foundational role of educational science in the prevention of adolescent problematics in school based on existing theories, concepts, and research results. The results of the study show that educational science foundations have a very important and strategic role in the prevention efforts of adolescent problematics in school. The philosophical aspect provides moral direction and humanistic educational goals, the psychological aspect helps to understand the dynamics of adolescent development, the sociological aspect maps the influence of the social environment, as well as the cultural aspect ensures that prevention efforts are aligned with the cultural values lived in the community. The application of educational science foundations in Guidance and Counseling services makes it a concrete instrument for creating effective and sustainable prevention programs. School counselors, with a deep understanding of educational principles, are capable of designing interventions that are not only reactive, but also proactive in building adolescents’ personal resilience, social skills, and self-awareness.

Abstract

This article discusses efforts to improve reflective literacy in elementary school students through the P5 project which raises the issue of local refugees. Reflective literacy is not only the ability to read and write but also involves a critical thinking process that later the information can be implemented in personal experience. The method used is a literature approach sourced from various journals, articles, and websites related to improving reflective literacy in elementary school students. The results of the analysis show that contextual approaches, integration of SDG values, and creative activities such as art projects can effectively improve reflective literacy. Solutions such as teacher training and cross-stakeholder collaboration can be supporting strategies, although there are some challenges in their implementation, such as teachers’ limited understanding of students’ interests and needs. Overall, P5 projects focusing on local refugees can serve as an effective tool to teach character to primary school students.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss the dynamics and challenges of secularism in various aspects of life, as well as Islam’s perspective on the concept, particularly through a thematic Qur’anic interpretation (tafsir maudhu’I This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods, drawing on primary sources such as the Qur’an and classical exegesis, and secondary sources including academic articles and journals. The findings and discussion cover the definition of secularism, its development in politics, law, education, economy, and society, as well as the Islamic response to the ideology that separates religion from public life. The study concludes that islam is a comprehensive way of life (kaffah) that cannot be separated from worldly affairs. Islamic values remain relevant in addressing modern secular challenges. This research is expected to provide a critical understanding of the impact of secularism in Muslim societies. However, It is limited by the lack of empirical data on the actual implementation of secularism in Muslim-majority countries. Therefore, further research is needed to explore more practical and contextual approaches to the role of religion is modern public life.

Abstract

In this study, “foam” is defined as a style of self-carry, attitude, gesture, and emotional interaction, rather than physical clothing. This study examines the phenomenon of “Stecu” (Stelan Cuek) among Muslim students, which emerged from Faris Adam’s song in March 2025. “Stecu” refers to the attitude of being shy and keeping one’s distance (selling expensive) when approached by the opposite sex. This phenomenon was analyzed from an Islamic and social psychology perspective using a qualitative approach with the analysis of social media content, particularly TikTok, which is relevant to Stecu’s self-boundaries, self-esteem, and lifestyle. Study results show that Stecu serves as a form of self-esteem defense, with narratives such as “indifferent gini originally wanted, just more self-defense aja.” Stecu has also evolved into a lifestyle, rather than just a trend, which reflects the internalization of values among Muslim students. Furthermore, Stecu is a mechanism of self-boundaries and empowerment, where an indifferent attitude is considered essential to protect oneself and filter people out in a dangerous world. From an Islamic perspective, Stecu aligns with the principles of iffah (maintaining honor) and muru’ah (maintaining dignity), as well as the recommendation not to approach adultery. From the social psychology side, Stecu is a social strategy for controlling others’ perceptions and maintaining personal integrity, in line with self-image formation theory. In conclusion, the Stecu phenomenon constitutes a harmonious identity strategy, fusing Islamic values of honor with the psychological need to build self-esteem and healthy constraints in the digital age.

Abstract

The regulation of fuel oil (BBM) in Indonesia is at the intersection of economic and political interests, where the government as the main regulator must balance various external factors such as pressure from energy companies, political dynamics, and public response. This policy complexity often creates loopholes that are exploited by certain parties, such as in the case of Pertamax bootlegging which reflects regulatory imperfections as well as competing interests between the government, energy companies, and the public. This study aims to analyze how fuel regulations in Indonesia are formed in the context of political economy and their impact on illegal practices such as fuel copying. Using a qualitative approach based on a literature study, this research examines the policies that have been implemented, the challenges faced, and the imbalances in their implementation. The results show that fuel regulations often experience instability due to political intervention and complex economic dynamics, where policy vagueness, weak supervision, and the interests of various parties cause regulations to not always be effective in suppressing illegal practices. Therefore, more transparent, consistent policies and strict monitoring mechanisms are needed so that fuel regulations can run effectively and fairly for all stakeholders.

Abstract

Dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, pendidikan tinggi di Amerika Serikat telah mengalami pertumbuhan yang luar biasa, menghasilkan peningkatan jumlah lulusan yang signifikan. Namun, fenomena yang mengkhawatirkan telah muncul: jumlah lulusan yang melampaui ketersediaan lapangan kerja yang sesuai, yang dikenal sebagai "ketidakcocokan kualifikasi." Artikel ini mengkaji dampak negatif dari ketidakcocokan kualifikasi, seperti penurunan produktivitas, pemanfaatan sumber daya pendidikan yang tidak efisien, dan potensi penurunan upah serta kepuasan kerja. Kami mengidentifikasi kurangnya kolaborasi antara lembaga pendidikan dan pemberi kerja sebagai faktor utama penyebab masalah ini, ditambah dengan kecepatan kemajuan teknologi yang tidak sejalan dengan pembaruan kurikulum. Studi kasus internasional menunjukkan bahwa tantangan ini bersifat global, dan negara-negara yang berinvestasi dalam kurikulum yang selaras dengan industri lebih berhasil mempersiapkan lulusan. Data terkini tentang pasar kerja lulusan di AS mengungkapkan perbedaan tingkat pengangguran berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan dan gender, dengan lulusan perempuan menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik dalam beberapa kategori. Proyeksi menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan yang membutuhkan kualifikasi lebih tinggi akan terus meningkat, menggarisbawahi pentingnya pendidikan lanjutan. Selain itu, kami membahas bagaimana ketidakpastian ekonomi dan teknologi baru seperti kecerdasan buatan memperparah tantangan pekerjaan bagi lulusan baru, menekankan perlunya kolaborasi antara lembaga pendidikan, pemerintah, dan industri untuk memastikan lulusan memiliki keterampilan yang relevan dan dapat bertransisi dengan mulus ke dunia kerja.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze transparency in managing the village fund in Pasigadan Sub-district, South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Transparency in managing village funds is crucial to ensure that allocation and utilization align with the principles of accountability, participation, and budget discipline. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research method. Data were collected through interview. Observation, and documentation from several villages in Posigadan Sub-district. The findings show that transparency in managing village fund in the sub-district remains suboptimal. The main challenges identified include limited public access to village financial information, minimal community involvement in planning deliberations and a lack of openness in the management and documentation processes. Although village governments have made efforts to improve transparency, more effective strategies are still needed, such as using information technology and enhancing the capacity of village officials. This study strengthens village governance by emphasizing the importance of transparency to support better village development. The implications of this study highlight the need for stricter policies to enforce principles of transparency and increase community participation in monitoring the village fund.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall quality of life within communities, encompassing not only spiritual and moral dimensions but also social, economic, and cultural aspects. This article aims to comprehensively examine the impact of Islamic education on improving community well-being by exploring various transformations resulting from the application of Islamic values in the educational process. Using a qualitative approach that combines literature review and case analysis, the study finds that Islamic education effectively shapes individuals with noble character, fosters social awareness, and strengthens solidarity among community members. Furthermore, Islamic education aids communities in adapting to modern challenges by developing spiritual and emotional intelligence. The integration of Islamic principles into daily life provides a strong ethical foundation, enabling communities to balance material needs with spiritual fulfillment. Collaboration among Islamic educational institutions, families, and communities is identified as a key factor in creating an environment conducive to the growth of quality individuals and groups. The findings indicate that Islamic education serves as an effective agent of social change, addressing social issues such as juvenile delinquency, poverty, and social conflicts, thereby contributing to the sustainable improvement of community welfare and quality of life. Therefore, strengthening Islamic education at all levels and improving the quality of educators is essential to support the development of a civilized, harmonious, and prosperous society.
