Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the major health problems in Indonesia, with high rates of spread and social stigma that worsens the condition of survivors. The LAPOR TB platform is present as a digital innovation to support TB elimination through increased access to justice and the fulfillment of health rights. This study analyzes the implementation of the LAPOR TB platform from a juridical perspective, using normative research methods that involve legislative and conceptual approaches. The results of the study show that this platform has great potential to improve access to health services for TB survivors, but still faces various legal challenges, including personal data protection, limited access to technology, ineffective complaint mechanisms, and weak law enforcement. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen legal policies, improve technological infrastructure, and eliminate social stigma to ensure that this platform can run effectively. With these steps, LAPOR TB is expected to be able to support TB elimination efforts and fulfill the right to health for all Indonesian people.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how organizational culture and workload affect the performance of functional Civil Servants (PNS) at the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Secretariat of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), with job satisfaction acting as a mediator between the two. This research uses a quantitative approach through a survey, where data is collected by distributing questionnaires to functional PNS at the DPRD Secretariat of DIY. The results of this study show that organizational culture has a significant positive effect on employee performance, with a ß value of 0.229 and a P-value of 0.004. In contrast, workload has a negative impact on employee performance, with a ß value of -0.252 and a P-value of 0.001. Job satisfaction is proven to play a mediating role in the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance, with a ß value of 0.268 and a P-value of 0.000. Additionally, job satisfaction also mediates the negative relationship between workload and employee performance, with a ß value of -0.186 and a P-value of 0.001. These findings indicate that a supportive organizational culture and effective workload management can encourage improved employee performance, while job satisfaction strengthens the positive impact of both factors. This study emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive work culture, efficient workload management, and efforts to enhance job satisfaction in order to achieve optimal employee performance.

Abstract

Inmates in correctional institutions undergo rehabilitation programs that include the development of skills deemed crucial for their lives after being released from prison. Each prisoner is entitled to receive wages or recognition for the efforts they have put into the work they perform. This study focuses on the regulation of rewards for inmates working in correctional facilities, as well as an evaluation of the fairness aspect in their distribution. The study adopts a normative legal analysis approach, utilizing primary legal sources such as laws and government regulations, as well as additional references discussing inmates’ rights in correctional institutions, particularly those related to the payment system for the work they perform. The study finds that the regulations governing inmates’ rights, including those related to wage distribution, are outlined in Article 14 of Law No. 12 of 1995, Government Regulation No. 32 of 1999, and the Minister of Justice Decree No. M.01-PP.02.01 of 1990. From the researcher’s perspective, the distribution of rewards aligns with the principle of fairness because, in addition to receiving rewards, inmates also receive valuable skill training for their future after leaving the correctional institution.

Abstract

Anxiety disorders in teenagers are a serious issue that can impact various aspects of their lives, such as social interactions, academic achievement, and emotional well-being. To address these challenges, group counseling has proven to be an effective approach. In group counseling, teenagers can share their experiences with others facing similar issues, creating a supportive and understanding environment. Techniques like open discussions help them identify the causes of their anxiety more effectively, while role-playing allows them to practice new ways of dealing with anxiety-inducing situations. Relaxation exercises also assist them in developing skills to manage anxiety effectively in their daily lives. Literature studies indicate that group counseling not only reduces anxiety levels in teenagers but also enhances their social skills, self-confidence, and emotional resilience. With support from family, schools, and the community, group counseling can become a sustainable strategy in promoting teenagers' mental well-being. Therefore, it is important to consider that there is no one-size-fits-all approach for all teenagers. However, group counseling provides a safe and structured platform for teenagers to learn from each other, strengthen their coping skills, and make progress in overcoming their anxiety. With this approach, it is hoped that teenagers can build a strong foundation for their ongoing mental health.

Abstract

This research examines the application of ethnomathematics in coin exchange activities at Sarwono Market, which is related to learning arithmetic operations, with the aim of understanding how everyday practices in market transactions can serve as a medium for learning mathematics. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with an ethnographic perspective, allowing the researcher to observe and understand phenomena within a broader social context. Data collection was carried out through interviews with traders and market visitors, direct observation of the coin exchange activities, and documentation of activities related to these transactions. The collected data were then analyzed using three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the practice of coin exchange not only facilitates transactions in the market but also serves as a medium for applying arithmetic operations in everyday life. This activity encourages the development of logical thinking skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, which are frequently used in the bargaining process or in determining the price of goods. Furthermore, coin exchange helps maintain price stability and increases transaction efficiency in the market by reducing dependence on paper money, which is often difficult to divide accurately. Thus, the study concludes that the application of ethnomathematics in coin exchange activities at Sarwono Market provides dual benefits, both in the economic context and in mathematics education.

Abstract

Karang Tunggal Village, located in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, has excellent potential in the livestock sector, especially in producing livestock products such as meat and milk. However, managing livestock products and waste still faces various obstacles, including a lack of awareness among farmers regarding efficient and sustainable management practices. This research aims to analyze the application of a participatory approach in education on managing livestock products and waste by directly involving the livestock community. This approach allows farmers to actively participate in every process stage, from problem identification to implementing solutions based on local needs. The data in this research was obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and focus group discussions (FGD) involving local breeders and related stakeholders. The research results show increased quality of livestock products, especially regarding cleanliness, food safety, and selling value. Apart from that, there has been a waste reduction that was previously simply thrown away, with innovations in using waste as organic fertilizer and additional feed for livestock. The adoption of more sustainable livestock practices is also starting to be implemented by livestock farmers, improving their economic welfare. Furthermore, this program opens up opportunities for developing value-added processed products, such as pasteurized milk and processed meat, which can increase farmers’ income. Collaboration between farmers in managing joint businesses is also growing, creating a more solid livestock ecosystem. Apart from the economic impact, this participatory approach also increases farmers’ awareness of the importance of sustainability and better environmental management, which contributes to the sustainability of the livestock sector in Karang Tunggal Village.

Abstract

Panglipuran Village, Bali, is one of the traditional tourism villages with significant potential to support the economic independence of local communities. However, community empowerment in this village faces various challenges, such as limited resources, a lack of community capacity in management, and dependence on external parties. This study aims to analyze community empowerment based on local participation through the management of the tourism village, using the community empowerment theory proposed by Jim Ife. The study emphasizes the importance of resource, opportunity, knowledge, and skill indicators in supporting the success of community empowerment. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The primary informants of the study include community leaders, local business actors, and tourism village managers. The findings reveal that empowerment through resource indicators has increased the income of craft businesses by 150%, from IDR 2 million to IDR 5 million per month. Furthermore, the opportunity indicator successfully opened avenues for the community to manage homestays, increasing income by up to 70% compared to previous levels. The knowledge and skill indicators also proved significant, with more than 90% of the community actively participating in training, which supports the sustainable economy of the tourism village. The conclusion of this study highlights that community empowerment based on local participation has a positive impact on the economic independence of the Panglipuran Village community. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of community empowerment elements with local wisdom values, such as mutual cooperation and cultural preservation. This model contributes not only to economic development but also serves as a best practice example in sustainable local participation-based tourism village management.

Abstract

The Constitution of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) stipulates that the interests of the people must be voiced and accommodated through legislative channels, represented by the People's Representative Council (DPR) from the regional to the central government levels. However, it is often found that the hopes of the people are not fully articulated, resulting in certain issues never reaching a final resolution. This study aims to analyze the role of the DPR in voicing the people's interests based on the fourth principle of Pancasila. The method used in this research is qualitative with a literature study approach, where data is collected from various scientific sources. The results of the analysis show that the main functions of the DPR, namely in legislation, oversight, and budgeting, have not been fully optimized due to weak accountability and transparency. This crisis of representation impacts the decline in public trust, low political participation, and increased polarization in society. To address these issues, systemic reforms are needed, including enhancing transparency, strengthening accountability mechanisms, and involving the public actively in the decision-making process. Thus, the goal of the DPR’s existence, which can be achieved, is to voice the will of the people, realize deliberation for consensus, and ensure justice and welfare in line with the substance of Pancasila’s ideology, particularly its fourth principle. This study recommends the need to restore the essence of deliberation for consensus in accordance with the fourth principle of Pancasila, accompanied by better political education and electoral system reforms to ensure that elected representatives are truly competent and focused on the interests of the people.

Abstract

The ideology of religious radicalism poses a serious threat that can disrupt social peace, particularly for the younger generation who are more vulnerable to being exposed to radical ideas. Religious radicalization, as a form of extremism, has the potential to disturb interfaith harmony and create social tensions. Therefore, preventing the spread of this ideology is crucial, one of which can be achieved through the involvement of Christian youth in utilizing social media. Social media has become a highly effective platform for spreading various types of information, both positive and harmful. As such, Christian youth play a very important role in addressing this threat. This research aims to examine the contribution of Christian youth in preventing the spread of religious radicalism ideology through social media. The approach used is qualitative with a literature study, where data is obtained from various relevant scholarly sources. The results of the study show that Christian youth can use social media as a tool to spread messages of peace, tolerance, and inclusivity. This is important in fostering harmony amidst religious diversity in Indonesia. Christian youth can play an active role by correcting the misconceptions often propagated by radical groups. By spreading positive and constructive messages, Christian youth can help society become more discerning in filtering information, thus reducing the potential spread of hatred. Through their involvement on social media, Christian youth have significant potential in strengthening interfaith harmony and creating a more peaceful and harmonious social environment.
