Abstract

Population issues present a significant challenge for Indonesia, impacting social, economic, and environmental well-being. High population growth, uneven distribution, and the need for improved human resource quality are critical concerns demanding attention. This literature review analyzes population control policies implemented by the Indonesian government, particularly those initiated by the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN). Focusing on the Family Planning Village (KB Village) program, this study examines its approach to improving community quality of life through family planning, education, health, and economic empowerment. The review reveals that effective population control extends beyond birth rate reduction to encompass efforts that balance population growth with socio-economic development. The success of such programs is influenced by factors including effective communication, resource availability, implementer disposition, and a supportive bureaucratic structure. Therefore, this review argues that strengthening the capacity of regional bureaucracies, especially in high-growth areas, is crucial for achieving sustainable population control.

Abstract

Corporate objectives encompass various dimensions, including social responsibility, corporate governance, and human resource development. Effective corporate governance mechanisms enhance a company's image and provide strategic direction aligned with organizational goals. This study employs a causal research method to examine the influence of capital structure, profitability, and leverage on firm value. The firm value is measured using the Price to Book Value (PBV) indicator, while the independent variables include the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) for capital structure, Return on Equity (ROE) for profitability, and Time Interest Earned (TIE) for leverage. Data for this research was collected using a survey method with a quantitative approach, relying on secondary data from financial statements of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to assess the simultaneous effects of independent variables on firm value. Hypothesis testing was conducted using t-tests for individual variables and F-tests for collective impacts, with the coefficient of determination (R2) indicating the extent of explained variance. The results reveal that DER, ROE, and TIE significantly influence firm value. DER negatively impacts firm value, suggesting that companies should manage debt levels effectively to enhance PBV. ROE positively affects firm value by reflecting management efficiency and profitability, encouraging investor confidence and higher valuations. However, excessive leverage can undermine financial stability despite its potential to increase shareholder returns. Therefore, companies should maintain an optimal capital structure, balancing profitability and financial risk to maximize firm value.

Abstract

This document discusses the digital divide in education in North Maluku, which poses a significant challenge to the quality of education, especially between urban and rural areas. Despite efforts to improve access to technology through the provision of satellite internet and other initiatives, challenges such as limited infrastructure, high operational costs, and lack of digital literacy continue to hamper progress. The proposed policy recommendations include the development of integrated technology infrastructure, the establishment of training centers, the allocation of special funds for remote areas, cooperation with the private sector, and the development of monitoring and evaluation systems. With the implementation of appropriate policies and commitment from all stakeholders, it is hoped that the digital divide can be minimized, creating equality in the quality of education, and increasing the potential of students in North Maluku.

Abstract

Bureaucratic reform at the village level is a strategic step to enhance transparency and accountability in governance. This study aims to analyze the role of information technology in supporting transparent and accountable governance in Tongke-Tongke Village. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involved observations, surveys, and documentation to collect data from village officials, the community, and external policies. The findings reveal that the implementation of information technology, such as official websites and Android-based applications, has successfully improved administrative efficiency, strengthened information openness, and enabled active community participation in decision-making processes. Additionally, digitally documented village financial reports allow the community to monitor budget management in real-time. However, key challenges include low digital literacy and limited internet infrastructure. Through regular training and collaboration with internet service providers, Tongke-Tongke Village demonstrates its commitment to creating better governance. This study concludes that information technology can serve as a key catalyst for accelerating bureaucratic reform at the village level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of interactive poster-based physics learning for biology students through a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis approach. Learning is designed to integrate physics concepts that are relevant to biology, such as fluid mechanics, optics, and thermodynamics, with attractive visualizations using interactive posters. The research method uses a quantitative-descriptive approach involving 60 biology students as research subjects. Data were collected through distributed questionnaires, then analyzed using the SWOT framework to identify the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and challenges of interactive poster-based learning. The results showed that using this interactive poster was able to improve students' understanding of physics concepts by 61.1% compared to conventional learning, mainly because the visualization helped improve information retention (making them remember the material better). The SWOT analysis showed that the main advantage of this learning is the relevance of the material to the needs of biology students, as well as its ability to simplify complex concepts. However, the main weakness is the limited time available for in-depth discussions. Great opportunities lie in the potential for developing more interactive digital posters, while the main challenge is the lack of supporting facilities.  Overall, interactive poster-based learning is effective as an innovative alternative in supporting the understanding of physics concepts for biology students.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the influence of work discipline, work motivation, and job satisfaction on employee performance in 10 articles. This literature review aims to identify and summarize previously published articles without any criticism of the articles to be reviewed. The type of research used in these 10 articles is quantitative research. Employees are people who are able to do their jobs, so employees as human resources for the company are very important to support the process of achieving the targets that have been set. The results of this study have found a positive relationship between variables. Among them, work discipline affects employee performance, work motivation affects employee performance, and job satisfaction affects employee performance. This study produced several studies from 10 articles that have provided scientific conclusions. The results of this study are expected to be a contribution that can provide convenience for other researchers who will develop scientific works with the same theme in the future.

Abstract

Body odor is one of the health problems that can occur due to a lack of body hygiene and bacterial contamination that can decompose sweat causes body odor and unpleasant odors. Staphylococcus aureus bacteria is one of the bacteria on the skin that can decompose sweat so that it produces compounds that cause body odor. Cosmetics used to reduce or eliminate body odor are deodorants. The lemongrass plant (Cymbopogon citratus) is a plant that has a fresh aroma like lemon and has antibacterial abilities because it contains alkaloid compounds, flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids, and saponins that have antibacterial abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical properties of deodorant preparations rolled on lemongrass leaf extract concentrations of 30%, 40%, and 50%. This research method is an experimental method consisting of four concentration preparations. The study results showed that the roll-on deodorant preparation of lemongrass leaf extract with concentrations of 30%, 40%, and 50% had good physical properties of the preparation.
