Abstract

The K13 Curriculum-based counseling guidance strategy is an approach in guidance and counseling services that is in line with the principles and structure of the K13 Curriculum. This strategy aims to assist students in achieving optimal development in accordance with the demands of the curriculum, both in academic, personal, social, and career aspects. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that the strategy for implementing counseling guidance services based on the K13 curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Sabrun Jamil Botupingge applies individual counseling strategies, consultation, group counseling, group guidance, remedial teaching which aims to help individuals and groups in overcoming difficulties, increasing self-potential, and achieving optimal development in various aspects of life.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the concept of family in Islamic educational philosophy, with a special emphasis on the role of the mother as the primary educator. In the Islamic view, the family is considered the smallest and most fundamental social unit for a child, which has an important role in shaping their character and morality. As a central figure in the family, the mother plays a crucial role in instilling religious, ethical, and social values ​​from an early age. This study adopts a literature study approach to examine various philosophical and theological concepts related to education in the context of the Islamic family. Interactions in the family environment play a major role in instilling basic education for children, where the mother acts as their first madrasah. The findings of the study indicate that the role of the mother is not only limited to the aspect of physical maintenance, but also includes in-depth spiritual and intellectual education. Parents are expected to have adequate knowledge and education, so that children get adequate learning opportunities, and the education provided by parents can have a positive impact on the development of children's learning achievements. This article also raises the modern challenges faced by Muslim families in carrying out their educational functions, and offers practical solutions based on Islamic principles. This study provides theoretical contributions by enriching the study of Islamic educational philosophy through an emphasis on the strategic role of mothers in children's character education. Practically, this article presents solutions based on Islamic values ​​to face the challenges of education in today's Muslim families, so that it can be a reference for parents, educators, and policy makers in building a generation of Muslims with noble character. It is hoped that this article can provide a deeper understanding of the importance of the role of mothers in forming a generation of Muslims with noble character and contributing positively to society.

Abstract

The development of digital technology such as Society 5.0, Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data and Machine Learning have brought major changes to the world of education, especially in forming a more responsive, inclusive, and adaptive learning system. This study aims to examine the trends and future potential of technology-based educational innovations, especially at the elementary school level. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach, through a review of literature from various current scientific sources. The results of the study show that Society 5.0 encourages the transformation of the role of teachers and student learning patterns, IoT increases interactivity and efficiency in the learning process, and Big Data and Machine Learning enable the implementation of adaptive learning that is in accordance with the needs of individual students. However, the implementation of this technology also faces challenges such as limited infrastructure, teacher readiness, and data security. Therefore, the integration of technology in education needs to be carried out wisely, gradually, and involves the collaboration of all stakeholders.

Abstract

Grade II students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Ittihad in Jambi City are struggling with reading comprehension, which is affecting their ability to understand the content of reading materials, accurately interpret information, and answer questions related to the text. To help kids become better readers, educators have developed the Reading Guidance Approach. The research here follows the four-step model proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart: preparation, execution, evaluation, and revision. The purpose of this research is to help second graders studying Indonesian at Nurul Ittihad Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Jambi City enhance their reading comprehension abilities. Data was gathered via observation, interviews, assessments, and recording over the course of two cycles of three sessions each. The research found that between cycles I and II, instructor activities rose by 17% and student activities increased by 8%. From 28% in the pre-cycle, 71% in Cycle I, and 89% in Cycle II, the results of the learning completeness test indicated a steady rise. According to these findings, second graders at Nurul Ittihad Private Elementary School in Jambi City who are studying Indonesian benefit from the reading guidance strategy in terms of their reading comprehension abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audiovisual learning media in improving fiqh learning outcomes of grade X students at Madrasah Aliyah Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta. The background of this research is the importance of innovation in the learning process so that fiqh material can be delivered optimally and attract students’ learning interest. The method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using two classes, namely the experimental class using audiovisual media and the control class using conventional methods. The hypothesis test results using the t-test showed a significance value of 0.074, which means there is a significant influence of the use of audiovisual media on fiqh learning outcomes. Furthermore, the N-Gain test showed that the experimental class had an average learning outcome increase of 67.73, categorized as quite effective, while the control class only obtained 45.61, categorized as less effective. Thus, the use of audiovisual learning media is proven to improve students’ understanding and learning outcomes in fiqh subjects. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the development of more interactive and effective learning methods in madrasah environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of formative assessment on the development of elementary school students' disciplinary character. Formative assessment is an assessment that is carried out continuously to provide feedback to students in order to improve their learning process. In the context of character education, especially discipline, formative assessment not only functions as an academic evaluation tool, but also as an instrument for forming attitudes. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in one of the public elementary schools in Central Java. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and assessment documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of formative assessment consistently has a positive impact on the habituation of student discipline behavior, such as punctuality in collecting assignments, regularity in taking notes, and readiness to participate in learning. The feedback provided by teachers in formative assessment encourages students to reflect on and improve their learning attitudes. This study recommends the integration of formative assessment as part of a character-based learning strategy, especially in strengthening disciplinary values ​​from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of Tawhid contained in the Qur'an, specifically in Surah Al-Fatihah, verse 5, and Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 21-22, as well as its impact on moral education (akhlak) towards Allah. This research uses the library research method with a qualitative approach. Library research is a type of research that relies on literature sources such as books, journals, tafsir, and other relevant documents without involving data collection in the field. The qualitative approach is chosen because this research focuses on an in-depth study of the meanings and content of the text, particularly the values of Tawhid in the Qur'anic verses through tafsir analysis. This approach allows the researcher to systematically and objectively explore conceptual and interpretative data. The author refers to the book Al-Qur’an Al-Adziim by Imam Ibn Kathir to identify two main concepts of Tawhid: Tawhid Rububiyyah and Tawhid Uluhiyyah. Surah Al-Fatihah, verse 5, and Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 21, contain the concept of Tawhid Uluhiyyah, which is the oneness of Allah in worship, while Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 22, contains Tawhid Rububiyyah, which is the recognition of Allah as the Creator and Controller of the universe. The results of this study show that understanding this concept of Tawhid has a significant impact on moral education towards Allah. A correct understanding of Tawhid can enhance piety, sincerity, patience, gratitude, as well as reliance on Allah. Furthermore, this concept also encourages Muslims to constantly repent, remember Allah, and have a positive view of Him. Therefore, the application of the concept of Tawhid in daily life becomes an essential foundation in forming noble character in accordance with Islamic teachings. This study is expected to contribute to the development of moral education in the context of Islam.

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of contextual learning material analysis in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Islamic Religious Education not only aims to transfer theoretical religious knowledge, but also to shape the character and morals of students through an approach that is relevant to everyday life. This study uses a library research method by analyzing various scientific literature related to the development of contextual PAI teaching materials. The results of the study show that contextual approaches such as Problem-Based Learning, Experiential Learning, and Project-Based Learning are able to increase student involvement and understanding of Islamic values. However, the implementation of this approach still faces challenges such as limited resources, lack of teacher training, and suboptimal technology integration. Nevertheless, the opportunity to develop contextual-based PAI teaching materials is very large, especially with the support of digital technology and innovative learning strategies. This article recommends the development of more interactive learning media and teacher training in implementing a contextual approach.

Abstract

Through a comprehensive literature analysis, this article aims to explore the various challenges faced by teachers in compiling teaching modules based on the Independent Curriculum and identify the factors causing these difficulties. An analytical approach to empirical findings is expected to provide a basis for formulating strategies for developing teacher competencies in overcoming these challenges, as also encouraged by various previous studies. The results of the study indicate that the level of difficulty for teachers in creating teaching modules does not only come from a lack of technical understanding of the module components, but is also influenced by external factors such as minimal mentoring, limited resources, and challenges in accommodating the diversity of students. Existing literature research underlines the importance of synergy between improving teacher competency and education policy support to create an environment that supports innovation in learning. Therefore, teacher competency development strategies need to be designed comprehensively by integrating practical training, intensive mentoring, and provision of supporting infrastructure as strategic steps in overcoming obstacles to compiling teaching modules based on the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Learning motivation plays an essential role in attaining academic success for students. Junior high school learners frequently find Islamic Religious Education challenging because of the difficult content and their limited interest in the subject. This research intends to investigate how the use of educational games influences student motivation in learning this subject. The findings of the research indicated that utilizing educational games could greatly enhance students' motivation to learn. Those who engaged in this method demonstrated a higher degree of motivation. Furthermore, the test results related to their comprehension of Islamic Religious Education also showed a notable improvement among the eighth-grade students at SMP Al-Jabar Karawang.
